Another reason we love this guy...he is pulling all of the wiring out & starting over, just in case there is a cut somewhere they can't see. He will also flush all of the pipes to be sure they didn't put anything in them. Sad to said I think it might have been kids, it is a gated neighborhood & the gates lock at 7pm.
Dody how sad... I hope Dave can keep on track with the schedule...
So is the house covered by insurance from the builders?? or do you and Bud have coverage on it now?? Since I have never built a home, I am not sure how that works...

Oh, that is so terrible! I know that copper is bringing a high price so there are a lot of copper thieves out there. I know one of our clients ended up putting up a webcam at the house he was having built to catch the thieves that were stealing his copper.

I was really tired when we got home, I tied to read , but finally I just gave in and went to the couch... I did rest for over an hour...
I woke up with some stomach rumbles, I hope it passes quickly so I can go to Alis game later, and I plan to go in to Tammy's early tomorrow to watch Faith
so she can go up to the hospital for a visit and hopefully speak to the doctor, to see where things are progressing ... She hopes to go up tonight too since Brookes game was cancelled tonight...\

Oh my!! I'm so sorry!!! I'm glad he's being safe with it, though.

me too! I think I read 3 pages before I gave in....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Okay are these both side views?? I love how the site is always so nice, keeping it cleaned up sure makes an impression..
the one with the dumpster is the front of the house, the 3 garage doors are not in yet. the other one is the back of the house, see how much room we have for a pool? they say it's plenty! we'll see!!!

I agree, they have filled that dumpster twice now. We had our house in Ga bult as well and since we were one of the very first to bult we watched the other houses go up. They were never even close to this clean, we are amazed. There was always bricks, 2x4s, plywood as well as trash in the yards until the landscaping went in...then it was buried.

Sorry for the issues, Dody. Geez.. in a gated community no less! Copper thieves are on the rise. We've had them be brave enough to get right into power plant transformers!
Just a quick check in. I've finished one contest entry and taken a muscle relaxer for my shoulder. It's better than it was but I'd prefer it go away completely while I sleep tonight.

we messed with my computer, trying to see why I cannot burn a CD...he changed some settings, but it still makes a slide show... oh well

well it is late, I need to go to bed, but that nap is keeping me from being tired I would not mind normally, I have a book I would like to finish... but I need to get up extra early, I need to wash my hair before I go to Tammy's...
I will try to read , see if that helps make me sleepy

After talking to Bud about it again, he told me that the builder said this does happen often. Not often in our gated neighborhood but almost weekly in others. Our realtor said that in the last 2 houses she sold all of the appliances had been ripped out. Sad, isn't it? That's why housing cost are so high....well part of why
I love your card, Maggie. How clever of you to use it in so many challenges!
Not too hard. Whenever I post a card to my blog I always check Feline Playful to see what challenges are listed that I can link to. Helps get traffic to my blog and sometimes I win something.

Well, Bob just called so I'm off to start my day. One load of laundry already done and 2 more to go. Shoulder still hurts some but going to get on the Wii anyway and see if I can work it. Have a good day all.
Dody....so sorry to hear about he copper. You are lucky to have such a great builder who will be doing all of that to make sure you don't have problems later on. I'm not sure our builder would have done that! I'm glad we didn't have those issues when we built this house. We didn't have but one house out here while our house was being built. You couldn't see our house from the road...still can't! As for cleaning up....our builder was a firm believer of..."if it's in the yard...it gets buried!". Jack has found all kinds of bricks and such when he dug out the front for the French drain. Hey, it's only been 20 years that it's been there....well preserved!

Wow .... it sounds like he's doing pretty well. I'm glad to hear that he's going and doing as much as he is.

Gracious ..... that's discouraging. You'd think that the doors would be secured once the put in the appliances. I know it's hard to secure open building sites, though....
A friend of mine on the Cricut thread made a quilt the other day (I seriously think she got it done in about 3 days). I thought you might want to see it.

Suzy, I think burying is the rule..they did it in Ohio as well but they carted it off to a lot that wasn't being built on. The people who ended up with the last lots had a real mess. I think because Fl is soooo low, right at sea level in a lot of places, they just can not bury, lol! Lucky us..being in the mountains of Fl at the amazing height of 187 above sea level But, yes we are lucky with the builder. He has the worker back in the house busy today. I hope we will be back on track quickly.

well they have the locks set to a 'builder's code' that anyone with a builder's key can open the doors. After the homeowner uses the key for the first time (with the RIGHT key) it resets the lock & the builder's key does not work anymore. So...anyone with a builder's key can still get in at any time until then. We were told that it may have been a worker who knew where the house was along the work & just helped themselves. The police were called & a report was filed.
