We had a good night in iQuest and a good day running errands. Tomorrow, we ride. We have classes on Friday. I can't wait to see how many I end up with in chorus.

I think we all knew that it was going to be a good thing. Glad there is that extra added bonus.

Sorry about the fever. Means you've got an infection somewhere.

Cute little guy.

LOL! I really don't think it's tall enough for a Tower, but just the right size for a Loft.

Kelly, I don't think you're supposed to be doing all that running around when you have a fever. You are supposed to be resting and all the activity will make the fever go up!

Not at all Soni. You're allowed to vent and say whatever you need to get off your chest. I'm praying that he sees the wisdom in the plan and will agree that he needs to have someone close by to help him. The other night my sis was telling me about a friend of her DH's that lives in DC. He lives alone, did not have a phone at the time and does not do Internet. He had a fall on a Saturday and broke his hip and no one knew about it until Tuesday when he hadn't shown up for work for 2 days. If something like this happened again to Grandpa Don, he could be in serious trouble with no one there to get him help.

I had another night of not getting much done. I did talk to my GF Gloria. She's been in Corpus all Summer with one of her DD's that just moved back there from SC. Found out tonight that she's actually retiring all the way. She had been doing substitute teaching, but I think after the stroke she had 2 years ago, it's too much for her. I know she gets tired a lot and she really does not take care of herself like she should. My home teachers came by and then I had some dinner, took my shower, and tried a new foot cleaning solution for my icky summer feet. Seems to have done some good. I want to go at lunch tomorrow to get a pedicure and didn't want my feet looking too bad.

It's a quarterly put out by Cloth Paper Scissors magazine. They showcase artists studios from all over - their organization tips and layouts. Lots of good ideas. Most I'll never use but it's nice to see inside other artists' workspaces. They visited Tim Holtz in the Summer issue. And Ty Pennington was in the Spring

I plan to bring Faith home tomorrow after noon, tomorrow and Friday are going to be busy and very possible difficult days for both of the girls... This will allow Tammy freedom in her needing or wanting to take care of things and be with grandpa...

First they are now ready to tell grandpa he cannot go home... but needs to go to a facility and today Tammy was told "MIKE" his son will be on his way here tomorrow...probably not arriving until Friday...
So I just thought having Faith here might help...

Brooke will go to her dads Friday after her game...

I know there will be more than one reason for grandpa to not be happy, his home , his diet, and his life in general...
I hope he can see how much his girls love him and want to be there to help him...

Remember this man is a firm believer, it is HIS WAY or NO WAY : (
I really feel for Tammy. I hope Mike doesn't cause problems. I know he's good at that. But I also know if anyone can help grandpa Don through this transition, it is Tammy.

Hugs all around.
FYI, Abby doesn't take naps. Hasn't for about 4 months.

LOL I had to eat. And it wasn't much of a fever... just enough to feel 'warm'. I sat at lunch and read my Cloth Paper Studios from start to finish so it was very relaxing and quiet. I only had to go 4 miles each direction. If I hadn't wanted healthy food from Memories I'd have just got to Apple Barrel in Winona.

I'm better today. Thank you Maggie.

Sounds like Gloria is just ready to enjoy life. I'm sure the stroke was a bit of a scare. I know you'll miss having her close by though for girls night out.

I'm still coughing some this morning so am going to take it slow. The laundry will wait a couple more days though I plan to at least change the sheets on the bed. I have a bucket of tomatoes to blanch and put in the freezer. The rest of the day is paper crafting. Nice sit-down project.

Oh, she's not going anywhere. She just got back from visiting with her DD and grands in Corpus, but she still lives here. She's thinking of looking into doing some volunteer work and would like to take some classes on nutrition to learn how to better take care of herself. We're going out to dinner on Friday night.

Sounds like a great day to me. I have to remember that I don't do laundry during the week so well. I started some the other night and got sidetracked, so the clothes are still in the dryer. Means I'll have to put them back through the wash again to get the wrinkles out. The load in the washer is still there. Need to get them into the dryer. Saturday will be cleaning day since the kids are coming for dinner on Sunday. I need to figure out what I'm going to make to feed them.

I'm using a pocket card for my recipe in the recipe tea swap. Every time I woke up this morning, I was working on it in my head so decided I just needed to get up and put it together LOL

Good luck with that. I have got to get better organized so I can get things done. Of course, this week and last week have just been too busy in the evenings.

Oh... just retiring... not settling in Corpus. I thought she liked it so much there, she was planning on retiring to Corpus.

Saturday will be cleaning day since the kids are coming for dinner on Sunday. I need to figure out what I'm going to make to feed them.
If doing laundry for me didn't require hanging everything on the line, I'd be tempted to do a load or two. But I know I don't need to be carrying clothes baskets in and out. Even though the weather is really nice, I broke down and turned on the AC yesterday. I knew if I got too warm I'd be coughing. We hit 97 yesterday. We should be back in the 80s this weekend and a shot at rain. So I can open the house again.

I should have had these done but was hoping to find something cool at convention to use for them. No such luck. So going with graphics I have and putting them together today/ mail tomorrow.

I'm off to fix breakfast, do up a dab of dishes then get started. I'll check back at lunch. What's on your lunch agenda today, Maggie? You guys haven't had a mediation for awhile.

Hey Maggie... I didn't know you're on Paper Craft Planet. How do you like the group?

No, not loving it that much. She actually owns a house down there from when she lived there before, but so far she doesn't have any plans to move back there. She still has 2 DD's that live here in Houston. The youngest (late 20's) just got engaged.

I hope all goes well with telling him and with Mike being there. Let Tammy know we're thinking about her.

Never TMI if it's important in your life.

House has been cleaned a bit. I've worked out and need to get a shower. Of course, I'm getting a shower just to get dirty again. Horse dirt is so different from other dirt, though....

I'm taking an orange juice break. Have the pocket cards finished and the recipes printed. Just have to do the embellishments. Paper flowers, lace and pearls
