Just got home from bowling...oh gosh, I didn't do so good for the first two games....110,112 and then a 136. Sure glad I showed up for that last game! LOL

I'm trying not to twist...which is the issue sometimes when I bowl. I get a good score, then I'm in pain and I get my hip out of place! Not a good reason for the good score!! So, I guess I was so involved with the "do everything without twisting" my head was there...and not on the bowling part. But, my lower back feels better...so, I guess I did some of it right!

The other scary thing is they are snowbirds. They take full advantage of senior discounts at fast food places and the like where they can get their food nearly for free. Mind you, they don't have to. Dick has me beat when it comes to being tight. LOL But what I did notice is they have no concept of what things really do cost. They thought their $80 hotel room (which we were paying for!) was way too expensive. And dinner at Coltons (which Dick chose), they split an entree and Mom ordered her own side because it was so expensive. It's kind of scary to think they have no understanding of general every day living.

Yes, he is really looking forward to having a nice tank again. I think it will be on a much smaller scale tho....maybe just 1 tank.
Wow! that's a big quilt. Though like you, I do like the hang over the sides so I'm sure any of the seasonal ones I do for our King will be right on target.

While at the National Quilt Museum on Saturday we saw an entire exhibit by a guy whose passion was collecting old/ antique quilts.. both in parts and whole. The parts he would find reproduction fabrics as close to what was in the quilt as he could and finish them... making them both old and new. They were beautiful. Wish I could remember his name LOL I want to say his first name was Paul. Storms look to be moving in so I'm trying to get blogs updated (all but one done) and check in here before I have to unplug. Bob has the seed tables done and in place so he's packing things up. He needs to come relax the rest of the evening since he leaves tomorrow. He is soooo good to me.

Hey Kel, yes some of this generation has seemed to think that the way of life has changed, I know I will use my senior discount, not ashamed at all, but if I feel like I need to share a meal due to cost them I probably should not be there any way... plus restaurants oare now frowning more on bringing an extra plate and even charging a flat fee in some places...
now I will share if I am just not able to consume a full portion, and that does happen so I try to order some thing, like a baked potato and salad at least sorry to hear the un pleasantness between them

Kel the events of the week will determine, but please know there is a large possibility of Sue and I not being in Collinsville...

If I didn't love Paisley so much, I know I'd be looking for her a new home. Found out today while I was working out that she wet on the cushion that's on the wicker chair in the living room. The smell was also on the 2 throws that I keep on there. Put them in the wash and I also made up a second litter box that hopefully she'll use, but this means I have to make sure I sift it out on a daily basis. She is just getting so bad about this stuff and I really don't know what her problem is.
Sounds like you might want to keep a bottle of "Kids and Pets" on hand. Good stuff for removing odors. It's just under $5 at Walmart in the laundry/ cleaning supplies. White bottle with a blue and yellow label I believe.

I want to see it to. If it's as good as It's Complicated, then it will be a riot!

It sounds like you're aware of what you're doing. Now if you can remember to correct it, you should be on fire!

I totally understand. I'd already told Bob that was a possibility. I wouldn't expect you to be anywhere else but with the girls right now. Hugs!

As to the other thing, Bob and I have been known to share on occasion, because portion sizes in restaurants have gotten so out of control. I'm also good about figuring into the cost that I'll bring half home - resulting in 2 meals or more for the price of one. But it wasn't just the restaurant, it was everything. And I've never known Mom to complain about food so much. It seemed like she picked everything apart. At least Dick enjoyed what he ate. I never have a good visit with Dick. And it's not because he's not Dad - he's just a grouch/ Negative Nathan/ penny pincher... but then he is 75.

Okay, I'm caught up a day sooner than I thought I'd be. hehe
I need to go fix dinner. A little later than I wanted to eat but Bob wanted to get the seed tables done since he leaves in the morning. I recorded a Matthew Macaunhey / Al Pacino movie last night I've not seen so we're going to watch that while enjoying pork chops and homemade mac n cheese. I also think there's a bit of the homemade vanilla ice cream left.

Bob didn't realize I had 'real' vanilla and used what the recipe called for. It tastes like French Vanilla Will check in tomorrow after Bob leaves.

Soni, you know to at least text me, right? Love you!

I'd like to see that one too. I love Meryl Streep. I just saw one of her early ones on TV a couple weeks ago - Heartburn. I had never seen that one. It was with Jack Nicholson.

I haven't a clue what all that means, Soni, but I hope that it's good news.

I"m sure those boys will come up with something.

morning....
Pie just brought in a sakada....I know that's not how you spell it. But, that's a try! It is buzzing and making all kinds of noise. He is loving it!!! He smacks it....and then it flutters with the noise. He sat on it...and boy, did he jump up quick! I guess it tickled! It's quiet for a few seconds...and then it "goes off"again....too funny!

I was talking about the words you used - "tracle" don't know what that is and why he needs one or doesn't need one and "extrabate" - don't know what this means either?

Is she (Tammy) still working??? Seems like she's around more these days.

I hate how doctors change their stories, I hope you find out what is really going on.

well, my company has finally all left & thanks goodness!!!!!!! Matt is a good friend for Bud but he drove me nuts! He is 28 but unlike Justin not very mature. He spent the last 4 days either eating, drinking beer or sleeping. Good Lord and when he ate, he cleaned us out!!!!! For example the day he had cereal he ate half of the box! When we grilled pizzas, he put almost an entire package of peperoni on his pizza....that would have lasted us a month! And that's with Justin & Liz eating it too. oh well, live & learn...and be grateful for your own kids!

also Stef had surgery today, she had to have a hysteratomy (creative spelling, as promised) She is in recovery & doing ok but I am a mess being in Fl. I can't stop crying & had no idea it would hit me like this. I know there would have to be a time that I couldn't be there for the kids but I didn't count on it hitting me like this. geeeze!

Were there health risks as to why she had the hysterectomy? Yeah, being away from your kids when the mommy thing kicks in is NOT easy. Just offer up prayers. She knows you're thinking of her.

Hi Karen. I hope you can. That would be fun. I've not been to a CKU. Just too many fun events to go to and not enough time of $ LOL

Bob's on the road and I'm getting started here. It's a gorgeous day... about 72 with a light breeze. No AC on. Have the windows and doors all opened up. Wanted to get the TPT card posted then I'm going to get on the Wii. I have yet to try the Country Dance I bought a couple weeks ago.

With all the visiting, eating out stuff I managed to lose 2 pounds last week. Bob lost 1 while he was home. I want to lose 6 over the next 3 weeks and he's shooting for 9. We'll see how each of us does.
