So is it mandatory that in making a chocolate dream pie that I and my kitchen must be covered in chocolate pudding mixture? too funny, my great nephew Noah was here and was like wow you did not get mad loose your temper or cuss... I just said" well I am the one that made that silly mistake so who was I gonna be mad at...lol " so pie is in the fridge, kitchen cleaned far better than I planned on today...

I am off to go to post office, library and our little store, I forgot cool whip

then I think I will curl up with a movie or pull more stuff out...hmmm

That must have been difficult to tell a friend about Wally. I know that just never get easier. It is good to reconnect with old friends. I actually reached out to my former sister in law last week. She & I were very close in our teens/early twenties. Then my mom did something that rocked our friendship & things never were the same, mostly because we never questioned what mom said. It was sweet to reconnect, both of us had been thinking about each other lately. How sweet when God steps in & we listen!!!!!!!
Not sure what will be on my menu for Christmas this year. Last year my DD here was supposed to go to his parents for Christmas, but then his mom got sick so they stayed home and we had Christmas together. I'm thinking they may try again this year to go visit with them. Have no idea what my other DD will do this year with being in the new house. She may invite family there to celebrate. I'm not making any plans yet for me. I know she felt really bad last year when she realized that I was going to be by myself until things changed with her sis.

My cousin in Pa and I are going to make plans at Thanksgiving to go do something together. I've always thought it would be fun to spend time with her, but never approached her about it. She posted something on FB and it got us started, so we decided when she's here at Thanksgiving that we'll figure something out.

That was so sweet of you. I'm glad that you were able to reconnect with her. Isn't it something how something that someone else does can affect our lives.

Well, sometimes I think it happens when I have WordPerfect open and my Browzer open, but it didn't used to do this unless it is from the new Firefox upgrades. But then sometimes it happens when WP isn't open. It's random though. I brought the comptuer to the office last week to have our IT girl look at it, and she couldn't get it to do the same thing. Figures!

And I, on the other hand, am wanting to put up a bigger tree this year so I can use a bunch of my ornaments that I don't get to use usually. I may get a 4 ft. artificial that can sit on my end table like I used to have. I just don't want the kitties getting up there and knocking it over.

I used to feel that way. I'm so independent that I can do everything myself. Learned that is not so - I can't always do things myself, so I do need to ask someone to help me sometimes. In our church, service to others is a very large part of who and what we are. We know that we receive blessings untold when we give service to someone else, so the idea is that if you are not asking for help when you need it, you are depriving someone else from receiving those blessings from helping you out. So let someone help you. I know they will be more than happy to do so.

That is the smart thing to do. So many of the online stores that I like to buy from are having really good sales because of new stuff coming out after CHA, so I've been ordering a few things.

Wait until you see my PSC card on Wednesday. I really love it. It is one that I submitted to DTC and was rejected. After I posted it on our Yahoo group so they can put it on our PSC blog, one of the other girls said how much she liked it. She is doing a 52 week book that she intends to publish after the end of the year. She requests people to submit cards each week on a different theme. This week the them is "characters" or people. She told me that I should submit it for her book. So I may get it published after all. And it's okay to already be on my blog. In fact, I had already submitted another card that I had previously done for her book, but she really likes this one.

I like that thought. Seems like most are either hard wired to serve or to let others do it.

LOL, maybe not everyday but I bet twice a week. It's a 45 minute drive. They said we are on the calender for FRAMING in 2 weeks. Things move quick once in motion! I wll be updating my Facebook profile pic as it goes along. I think we'll run up there tomorrow & get a pic of the tardy permit, lol! I have been looking at paint chips trying to decide what color to paint the room. Also on Pininterest I found a site with 805 pools to check out.

I bet you are just beside yourself with excitement to finally get this going. Such fun to start from scratch and just make it the way you want it.

LOL! I guess you have!

We're getting another rain shower this afternoon. Not sure if it's heading to my house or not. Sure wouldn't mind while I'm at work. At least it will keep my water bill down this month. It was 4x the usual amount last month with all the watering I had to do with my new plants and transplanted flowers.

mine is 7 1/2 foot very full and heavy...simply beautiful.... but takes up a lot of room, not as much as Dody's did but close... It sits close to the floor, tho Wally did some reshaping to give me some room for presents...
I think a 6 foot is enough for me...unless we will be doing Christmas here all together ...

That is a wonderful way to think about it... I just feel so "needy" these days...and that is not an easy thing for me to adjust too... but thank you...I will try to remember that...

Hi Quackers. Soni, here is something you can relate to. I noticed a charge on my bank account for $6.48 to a place called Ichiban in Houston, TX. Not something that I recognized, so I called the bank today to see if I could get more information. They checked it out and it is an eating place. The charge was made on 7/9/ which was last Monday evening about 6 p.m. Well, I was not out eating anywhere last Monday night and if I had been, I'm sure I would have eaten more than $6.48! She was going to put a hold on the account and issue me a new card. That is SUCH a HASSLE. I use it for so many things. I told her to wait and I would look through my receipts (I keep all of them) to see if I could find something in the pile that this might have been. It seemed weird to me that if someone used my card, that they only charged $6.48. Doesn't make any sense to me. And the description at the bank said that the cardholder was present, so someone would have had to have had my card, but it's not missing. Very strange.

I don't know how Dody does hers, but keep in mind she might have to 'flip' it and it's not easy like flipping a pancake so may be something you'd have an issue with.

For me, I like the 'wedge' design the maker creates.

This stuff seems to becoming more and more common. One of my writing friends got a phone call last night. She said the guy spoke very poor English (India maybe) and he needed to diagnose her computer... asked for information that even she was smart enough to know would let him into her system.

It's bad enough they have to do it on-line, now they want you to help them do it over the phone!

I have to leave in a few minutes for a city council meeting. I have acquired a headache and would rather just stay home. Oh well, this council meeting is 2 weeks late already due to holiday stuff so guess I need to go.

I've not accomplished much on my To Do list for today. Need to try and fix that when I get home. I did clear out over 300 emails from one of my accounts though. If I hadn't been looking for something in that email box, I would have left it for tomorrow. But I was invited to take part in a scrap/ stamp group for witches and needed to find the info buried in that email address LOL

wow that is weird... but some times duplicates get out I know once they mailed out a new set but we did not get them, 2 weeks later I called to see why we had not, evidently some one got them and used them...that is why I am instructed to not sign my card without a signature they require another form of id... I hope this is some thing simple to figure out ...

I did get my card posted to the blog. I have some writing stuff that HAS to be done tonight if storms stay at bat. The sun and clouds have played tag all day today. And while I was posting to my blog a few minutes ago, the sun was shining bright, it's 103 degrees outside and the thunder was rumbling. LOL Talk about strange. Now it appears overcast again... just in time for me to leave for the council meeting. I'll try to check back in tonight.
