The vacation policy doesn't affect her or the IT people since they are salaried. But I think that she is realizing that some of the policies were outdated and not really practical or there wasn't really a reason for them. I don't think she was unhappy, but I think she likes being in this position and she's more than willing to try to please the staff so they are not so unhappy and more apt to quit.

Hi there.

It's been a long week, but a really good one. Jaydin had a little horse show today. They did a little course for all the girls to walk through on their horse. Then, they showed off their walk and trot. Jaydin got to canter for everyone, and she was so excited. She was the only one allowed to do that because she's doing it in lessons.

The past couple of days, she's been picking the hooves of the horses by herself, too. She learned to pick their feet up yesterday and thought she was *all that*. One of the teens spoiled her all week. Yeah ... like she needed THAT.

It really was a great week, though. Mark made it to the show, and that thrilled her.

Now, we're just all TIRED.

Dody - yeah, we're busy. I guess that's because Jaydin has multiple interests..... intense interests .... and we work around those. Of course, we used to be gone every Tuesday and Thursday nights for karate, Wednesdays for church, and Fridays for homeschool group stuff with the boys. We went more then than we do now, but neither of the boys ever did a camp like this at this age. That's kept us hopping this week.

I took Fosamex a number of years ago and it caused me some problems with swallowing. I still have some problems at times when I swallow the wrong way.

That doesn't sound very good Soni. I hope you can figure out what is going on.
I asked if it was due to m thyroid and he said no...though I had read that a thyroid condition could cause trouble swallowing...he said rice was a common problem, the drainage might have induced the issue but he suspected I needed my throat or what ever dilated...it would be a gastro doctor... I can feel things getting worse, so I want to check on it

as far as the vitamin, the liquid is about 2 or 3 times as expensive, I tried kids gummy ones but they do not have near the levels of what I need... I am going to try cutting the pills in half or quarters ... I saw One a day has a new womens one out and some one else did too ... I have never tried Centtrum... I took Fossamex for a short time too... hmmm?

Speaking of color wash loads, I read on FB today that if you add 1 tablespoon of salt to your load of color wash, it helps seal the color and keeps the clothes looking bright.
Krista always washes any thing new that has a bright color or dark color in salt water to set the color... it works great ...
as far as bright I love Vivid, it is in a yellow bottle by the bleach...

Ali and Cody left to go home, I think It might be an early night for me... busy days and then one day in the sun and a little time in the water is surely letting me fill the tiredness... but it is a really good kind kind of tired... not a stressed form of tired, nor a tired from hard work... just a relaxing day, enjoying my family ...

I do take a senior multi vitamin but I need to eat something after I take most pills to push it down (like a cracker or part of my meal) That must have been super scary when you choked. I hate that for you

Wow, Soni. It does sound like something you need to check out. As to the multi-vitamin, it is one of many things that I take every day. I Couldn't take the Centrum horse pills. Maggie, if you want mine, I'll send them to you. It's almost a new bottle. They are Centrum Silver Chewables. They're like chewing a Maalox tablet. LOL

I take One A Day VitaCraves. They are gummies for 'big kids' like us

It was a really long day in West Plains. My own fault for being blonde hehe. I did get 2 loads of laundry on the line before I left, got the bank and recycle center done and got to golden corral in time for the lunch rush.

Afterward I went over to the cell store. Cathi - my favorite cs person in the world - discovered my phone is behaving like a naughty child. It gets on the internet whenever it feels like and changes settings without my knowledge. So far it hasn't affected my bill but now that she's aware of it, should it start racking up charges under my number they'll take them off because I don't have a data plan and don't want one.

From there it was off to $Tree to look for some inexpensive things to add texture to my art journals. I found a couple of little gifts I need in the coming months while I was there.

I have 13 pictures from my old music promotion days I needed to scan and get put on a CD. The Walgreens lab was BUSY today. I've never seen so many people there. I got my pics done okay... but ordered prints instead of a CD. Didn't realize my mistake til I got 2 blocks away. So I drove back over and had to wait forever for a kiosk so I could scan in the new prints and order the CD. I've GOT to see if this Epson All In One works.

Then it was the joyous 2 hours at Walmart. It was after 6 by the time I got out of there. I just wanted to pick up my CD and come home. Of course I had to stop at the WM in Mt. View for something the supercenter didn't have and subway for dinner.

Dogs and cats are fed. It's about time for Miss Thing to show up for her graham crackers then I'm headed to bed. I don't have to leave here before 8 in the morning but thngs I need to do before I head out. Is it Monday yet? LOL

It was an early night for me.

I cancelled dinner with my GF's because the weather was still unsettled and I just didn't want to be out in it. They were both okay with that and we rescheduled for next week.

I was working on a card and have it almost all together, but now I'm thinking that my image might be too large for this layout. May have to rethink this.

I have not been sleeping as good though the past several nights - waking up more than once. I don't like that. If I just wake up once, that's not so bad if I can get right back to sleep.

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't do chewable anything unless it's food. And I also have to eat before I take any of my supplements. I just can't do that on an empty stomach. I remember that there was a certain vitamin tablet that I got at Whole Foods and I can't remember which one it was, but it had a strong taste even though you didn't chew it. I couldn't take it. Made me sick to my stomach. I couldn't even stomach the smell of them.

Oh, how aggravating. Did you tell them the last places that you used your card? Someone from one of those places stole the number and was using it. Or maybe it was one of those that got hacked in a big thing and sold it out to others since the charges came from all over. Darn! I hate when that happens.

Good morning Quackers!

I can see that we got a little shower before dawn this morning and we may get some more during the day - nothing like the last 2 days though. Thank goodness. I went to the grocery store on my way home from work last night, so I don't have to go out for anything. I have a lot of projects that I need to work on though, so I'll be busy.

So glad to know that Jaydin had a great time this week with the horses. Sounds like she's learning a lot from her lessons. That's great that she has something like this that she's so interested in.

I usually read for about 30min every night when I go to bed. I take my pain pill for my arthritis, then read, by that time I am relaxed and it helps me unwind too.

right now I am reading a book on my Nook - it's about Queen Victoria and her daughters. It's pretty good. I a little wordy at times though.

Our department just earned a reward from the company. We each got $250. I had to go to a website and get gift cards. No cards available for grocery stores or gas stations though. So, because I am so picky about where I get my clothes and all the clothing cards were for boutique type stores, I chose to get $100 worth from Olive Garden; $50 from Barnes & Noble; $50 from Applebees; $25 from TGI Fridays; and $25 from Longhorn Steak House. Figure I will use restaurants quicker than anything else.

Wow! Congrats Sue. That's fabulous. You will be eating well for awhile! I like all those places.

Eeeek! on the alligator! Hope you were far away from it.

Saw a story on the news the other day of a young man (late teens) who went swimming in a river and was bitten by an alligator. Took off the lower part of one of his arms, but he was able to get away. Seems to be in good spirits that he's still alive.

we got some rain overnight, not alot, but it's visible. Hope it's enough to save my trees, shrubs and flowers. Kind of cloudy out there right now too.

I got a "birthday certificate" from a local steak house. It's good for $20 - so just checked out their online menu and I may be taking myself out for supper tonight. My son seems to think that I should be feeding him on my income. He's been helping himself to the food but not contributing any $$ toward it. So...there's going to be some changes in that area. I figure if he's got $$ to spend at the bar, he's got $$ to buy food. I don't mind when I make a big meal of something I'm hungry for, but when I buy myself burger patties and freeze them individually so that I have something quick and he eats them - that's ridiculous.

Grrrrrrrrr......... NO that is just not right. He needs to give you a set amount of $$ every week to contribute to the groceries. Otherwise, he stays out of the refrigerator!

I hear about that too!!! He had enough wits about him to pack the wound with spider webs to stop to bleeding!!! Amazing!

OMGosh - it's raining again and it's a nice slow drippy kind of rain. The birds are actually sitting in my driveway - looks like their taking a shower. Think they need some shower gel or towels????

good morning " Duckies " so the week end is here , and I have no plans...well tomorrow I will go to get dog food and then on to Walmart probably and pick up one script for me...I do not know how we got off track with my meds, I used to get them all at once...I think it is when they could not fill one once... oh well no use complaining...

but today I am home... going to clean a bit, fix a small roast with potatoes and carrots and have a quiet day...
Krista and Keith went to Iowa with Keiths dad, he wanted to take the kids to the Field of Dreams field where the movie was made and then to a John Deer museum I think...so they will be gone ALL DAY...

Tammy may head to our favorite little store over in Elmwood, if she does I may go there too, Some of my stuff sold so I can see if there is any thing I want

It's not that I want the $$ so much, it's that he needs to address his priorities regarding his own money. I do charge him $200 a month to live here - so basically, it includes heat, electricity, water, dish TV and internet. That's pretty cheap. He works at Wal-Mart and I know he doesn't earn much more than $9 per hour. So... he needs to decide which he'd rather consume food or alcohol? I can understand the need to socialize, but not 4 nights a week.

I can't afford to socialize like that. Of course with my work schedule there's not much socializing anyway. But I look for ways to cut back in other areas if I am planning an outing. Free food does help though.

I've got my laundry done. Going to go start the dishes. That's another thing that bites my butt. He cooks and leaves the mess for me. So another good reason not to have food available for him to create a mess with.

I hear him moving around upstairs... wonder if he has to work today?

I've been over to let the grand-dog outside to potty. Davina & family are at a softball tourney in Wausau (about 4hrs away). Chad & kids went up Thurs AM and had a motel room - sort of a mini vacation. Davina went up yesterday after she finished work. So last night I had to potty all 3 dogs (mine & hers). Then feed her dog. Her dog is a yellow lab, Lacey. She is so good and well trained. Not at all mouthy like mine. My Sophie almost sounds like she is "talking" at times - she actually sounds like she is grumbling when I tell her no - it's kind of funny. Maybe I need to try to record it sometime.

I have a bookcase on my front porch (yep Soni, now I have a front porch and it's about 30ft long) and I want to bring it into my kitchen for storage. Thinking about fixing a curtain rod to it and making a simple drape curtain to keep the stuff dust free. Want to put my crock-pots and canisters in it. Speaking of drape curtains, Soni did you ever get those curtains done for Krista?
