We have another foundation company out looking at the house. He got here a few minutes before 10am. He is still here. I'm amazed how much he is checking! He is from one of the "big" companies in the state. He has looked at the blue prints and has taken that info and put it on the computer. Now he is taking measurements etc. None of the other people took much notice with the blue prints. This guy has them on the breakfast table....and really checking them out! Even Pie had to go and help...by laying in the middle of them! Hey...that's what he does!
I need to work on Amy's swap. Then I want to get a start on Valentines. Yes, I'm behind on those. But, I found a design in the gallery that will go fast!
I've been making some Valentine's cards for a lot of the challenges I've been doing. I really need to get the 2 going to CA and UT in the mail soon. And my DGD at college has her birthday next week, so I need to tend to that also.
I'll probably check the gallery again for 3x3 ideas. That is what Amy's swap is. Looked like fun....never made that size before. Can you tell I haven't started yet!!!?
It does sound like fun, but not something I have the time for right now. It's going to be really busy the next few weeks.
hey Kel. I tried to use Faststone again yep with your notes, still cannot open images... anyway it will not clear any thing out or let me add a new photo to work with and has files of my computer showing... so I cannot add or try to resize any thing... I did try tho ...
Hmmm don't know why it is giving you issues. I've never had any snags in the program and I'm about as computer 'slow' as they come LOL

I talked DH into taking me to JCP and buying me a couple of pair for Valentine's. He was gonna buy me a charm bracelet, but I need the jeans more.
DH is 57 tomorrow. I just picked up his cake. He is gonna laugh!
Gotta check a few things before clocking back in - BBL
Happy Birthday wishes for your DH tomorrow, glad he got you what you needed...
Valentines day will be a hard one... So many memories of jewelry, and really big cards and candy, usually in the form of M& M's after I explained I really liked them better than Russel Stovers that was one difference between my mom and me ...He never really bought me flowers, but he tried to let me know how much he loved me...
In our house, Valentines Day was the day you told and showed the people you love how much you loved them and why...just a different take on the day ...
Just was popping in for a couple minutes to see if Dody had any word on that offer. She said they'd know last night. Hmmm inquiring minds want to know If the wind would blow East to West, I'm sure I'd hear the shout when it happens.

I believe it is later today that they will hear...
I just wanted you to know I was trying, honest...
like I said this computer just is not right
and we all know I am challenged, but I am trying
Well, unless Bob were to hand me the income tax money and say 'here, go to TX' (which I'm not anticipating happening), there is a trip to IL in my spring future. Somewhere between my granddaughters and the wedding in OK. I haven't been north since we moved Sue and Adrian in almost 3 years ago. I'm overdue.

thanks Kel...but I do seem to have a lot of help these days... we have went through 7 bags since the girls went shopping after Christmas and brought me home 7 bags...they were marked down to $1.74 a bag... yep they know their momma... save when you can... I was tempted to open and sort them out in the red and green for Valentines day and St Pat's day...lol but they did not last that long
Right now we are centering the search closer to Orlando but in Seminole county. We will hear later this evening if they accept our offer. I think I'll work on my I Spy today...get it into 1 piece instead of 56!
Oh, goody! I might get to see you every now and then.

yes but I know you would really like to go to Texas...maybe some thing will change for you...
I have not thought of any vacation plans...I am waiting to hear if I need to go to Florida...that will over ride... I hope to take the kids some where this year, even if only a day or two... and I want to go see "gramma Laura" Wall's Aunt / stepmom in southern Illinois, and to my daddys grave ... but no reaL FUN PLANS MADE AS OF YET
Bummers on the jeans, Karen. Hate when the faithfuls finally give out. I only buy St. Johns Bay or Gloria Vanderbilts. Those are the only 2 brands I can get to fit me right. Good luck on finding a new perfect match
And I love my Levis and Lee. I don't mind looking for jeans anymore. I love to find the ones that I enjoy wearing.

Darn! I thought you were going to make it down here to TX this year.

I think they should know tonight - the buyers have until tonight to accept, counter, or decline.
DH's cake - I always tell him he is older than dirt. At the Kroger down the street last week - I went there to look at the cake book - and there is was!
A cake with a pile of dirt across it - it had a shovel and some bones tossed about on the mound. There is a sign that says OLDER THAN DIRT. Yep, I ordered it

We've gone to piano and had lunch. Jaydin has to finish school. After that, I'm going to the Haven. I may try to do a couple more challenge cards. I need to put up laundry, too .... but the Haven sounds so much more enticing.

LOL! Well, when you get done with those, I've still got all "The Cat Who" books looking for a home. I have all of those books plus Short and Long Tales which is one of the collections of short stories. I did read on the Internet the other day that Ms. Braun did pass away last June, so I guess no more books. Sad.
thanks...I'll remember that! Oh, I didn't realized that she had passed away. That is sad....she was enjoyable to read.

I decided to do the 3x3 swap after seeing some examples. I figured it wouldn't take long to do. Wow...it's taking me longer to go and buy some envelopes. I still need to do that to send Deb a stamp set. I'm behind there!!!

I have a recipe for "dirt cake". You put it in a flower pot. Deb did it one time for an ag extension luncheon. She made the cake...had it in a flower pot. Put silk flowers in the flower pot cake. She said that there were so many desserts on the table. She placed hers on the table. Next thing she knew...her flower pot was on the floor. She put it back on the table. Went back..it was on the floor. Finally found out that the older lady arranging the table thought it was real dirt...and kept putting it on the floor. Lucky for them, it was had a saucer...and was put behind the table. It was never kicked over or got dirty. Deb had to explain to her that it was a dessert. I'm sure the lady said some mumbling about Deb put it back on the table...yet again!! I think Deb stayed and started serving her "dirt"!

our rocket teams actually worked on stuff yesterday....wow, what a bonus. One team already had their wood pieces cut out. The other team needed help. So, Jack stayed in there with them.

Our bowling team mates had some bad news. His mom is in the hospital again. This time it's not looking real good. He left yesterday afternoon for FL. Would you please keep them in your prayers during this difficult time. She was like "mom" to so many of this bunch while growing up. Thanks, girls....
