okay....I need to go and do something productive! Did get back from errands a little while ago. So, new glasses are ordered...let's hope these work out this time. It was a different prescription. Went and got a graduation gift. Need to make a card for that. The graduation is Monday night...but, the BBQ is on Sunday. So, I'll take the gift then.
We went to the bank and the post office. Full afternoon!

Wow, Dody!!!! That sewing room is huge. That would be tough for me to design if I were doing it as a crafting space. It's so wide open. The colors in the house are interesting, but kind of cool. It looks like ya'll are settled in and have been living there for a while. I hope you enjoy it until The Horn House is built.
I have 5 heads of broccoli in the garden tonight!! I'm so excited. When it's time, I'll be able to harvest the broccoli and freeze it for later. THIS Is why I have a garden this year!
Evening ladies. It has been a long day. I was supposed to be off for the big scrapbook convention at the Arlington convention. However I has to take DSS to school at 7:30 am. They bussed the seniors to the fort worth convention center for graduation practice. Picked him up at 10:45. Dh got off at 11 and was home by noon. I cooked lunch and then we took a nap. Got up in time to shower and dress.
We are sitting here waiting for the program to start at 7. So much for the signs posted everywhere saying NO SAVING SEATS.

It is, isn't it? I Think I will be happy with my smaller 16x16 room. I am so much happier now that it is clean....although I will NEVER use the 5 sec rule in this house!!!!

Hi'ya ladies! I've been so busy lately that I've just dropped into bed early lately. Between trying to get the house painted, my dad to PT and take them for errands, I'm pooped! Today, I got up at 7 AM, showered and left by 8:30 to take dad to PT then they wanted to go to Springfield to grocery shop. Yes, we have great grocery stores, but I think my dad is gettin cabin fever, plus he wanted to stop at the friut shed and get peaches. I'm home all weekend and the only thing planned is resting and working in my stamp room. And of course watch/listen to some racin!
I'm not going to try and read back. If I missed anything important, I know everything is important...LOL let me know. What's everyone been up to? I'll be around this weekend.
Have a great night girls!

Hey, Lois! How are you feeling??
It sounds like you're really busy with things right now. Hope the painting goes well. How did your dad do with PT?
I won't get to hear/watch the race this weekend because I am going to be at church all day Sunday to get ready for VBS. Still rooting for Tony and Ryan.

I remember all the years I had my garden...right now I am just excited I do not have to weed my garden or take care of it ALONE... I guess I am just settling into getting OLD lol
Actually, if I had the help digging the ground up, and a place that it did not matter , I would have put in a small garden, I think Dustin would have enjoyed it...

Keith and Krista just stopped to get the boys, so I am getting ready to curl up with a book and some tea ...just for a little while tho...I need to be up early tomorrow...
so if I do not stop back in tonight... rest well...sweet dreams...
Late night Quacks. I left work early today about 4. Both bosses had left early. When the dad left today he said he'd be back. I told him not to come back but to go home and take a nap. He's been under a lot of stress lately and had been up late last night worrying about his hearing today. Did I tell you that they kicked bu$$ today! Wow! What a win that was. The opposing counsel is a real slime ball. And I'm not just saying that, but his client (the wife) is also a real case. She is trying to get millions out of this man that she was only married to for 18 months. She's acting like they've been married for 50 years. Anyway, he deserved some time off and really needed it, so since they were both gone, I decided that I'd go too.
Came home, read for a little bit. Went online to look for a tree service to trim my trees since my yard man has never come by to look at what needed to be done and to give me an estimate like he said he was going to do last week. Now, I've got someone coming on Monday at 6 when I get home from work.
Had to make a couple phone calls to get the input I need for our June Newsletter. That paid off, both girls sent me their e-mails with their copy so I can get that done tomorrow.
I needed to work on a card for the Creative Freebie Challenge on The Outlawz so I could have it posted before Sunday in order to get the next 2 free digi images. I was having a hard time with it. The images were a Jeep and a Loon. I couldn't figure it out but tonight things just fell into place and I was able to put it together rather quickly. Got it all uploaded to my blog, got it entered over at The Outlawz and checked Feline Playful to find about 8-9 other challenge categories it would fit into, so I posted it on all of those also. Maybe this time I'll win something.
It's late, so I'm off to bed. I've been reading all the posts even if I haven't responded. Hope everyone is having a good evening. Check back in the morning.
Good morning Quackers! Krista and Soni - hope you have fun days today.
Man, was I ever tired. I slept in til 8:40! Wow! Of course I didn't get to sleep until about 11:30. After getting into bed I wanted to read a little bit.
I've got house cleaning and grocery store run today. Kids are coming for dinner tomorrow and we're celebrating my SIL's birthday, so I'll have to be making a cake also. I may just give him the card I made last night for The Outlawz. I really need to get a lot of my cards that are on my blog into my gallery.
Suzy, I resent the pic to you; not sure why you didn't gey them the first time. The bedspread I made is the blue one...not sure any parrots showed in the pic, lol!!!
sounds like everyone has a busy weekend. Me.. I just want Adrian and I to take it easy the rest of the weekend so maybe we'll be back to normal on Monday. We're getting closer. She is still sleeping. She wound up sleeping with me the first part of the night last night. Woke up about 3 coughing so I gave her another dose of meds and tucked her into her own bed. I'm going to try and close out the AOCC thread for May before she gets up.
We made banana bread last night. We're going to freeze it and take it camping with us 'cause she wants grandpa to have some. She still wants to make suckers. We might do that today.
Morning ladies. The animals begged for breakfast at 8:30 so I am up. I may go back to bed. Lol
I thought you were going to the scrapbook convention in Arlington. One of these days I'll go to it. We have our rocket meeting at 1pm....so, that sort of shoots the day.

Okay.. the May threads are closed out. Adrian is finally awake. She chose a cheese stick and juice box for breakfast when I refused ice cream LOL Her head is still clogged this morning but she's bright-eyed and smiling. I think we're both on the med.

I'm ok. Just tired and hurt some but not bad. I'm doing some resting this weekend because it starts all over Monday with dad's PT sessions. He's doing well with it. I'm hoping that maybe he can drive soon, will have to wait and see what the dr says. I'm even taking a break with the painting. I'm just plain ole tired. Thanks for asking Shell!

Another beautiful day here ...about 84 degrees a slight breeze, got the windows and doors open. I think tomorrow we are to get rain and the temps will be close to 90. I'll have to turn on a/c!
Just got my retired stamp sets off the shelfs. Man, I lost alot. I'm even going thru all the Christmas ones that have been retired and currently retired and going to sell some of those. I just have so many. I'll compile a list and get it on here. I would like to get these on ebay by no later than Friday. So I'll get my list going and see if you girls want any of them.
Susie, do you still want Fifth Ave Floral? PM me if you do.

Hey girls. Just me in need of a nap. I tried putting in a Bambi movie and tucking Adrian in beside me... hoped she'd fall asleep too. LOL No such luck. Instead she had to talk to me every 10 min or I'd cough and never got to sleep.
Instead we've played playdough, cut magazines and after supper we're going to make some of KK's special rice krispie treats. I don't think Adrian has ever had rice krispie treats of any kind so I'll introduce her to the good ones
Anxious to see your list, Lois. NOT that I NEED any LOL but you just never know. Especially if you have any that haven't been in the catalog for the past couple of years. I still hunt for some back as far as 8 years when I first got started with SU. At the time I didn't have the money to spend so had to pass on a lot of sets I would have liked to have had. Oh well, maybe I didn't need them so much
I'm really bummed Adrian and I are cloistered indoors with this stupid cold. The weather has been perfect to be working out in the garden/ yard and I just don't have the energy.
Well I laid down but didn't nap. Did laundry and have been packing up DSS for hisove to his moms. It was to be today but will be tomorrow morning instead
Off to the store for groceries now

Well, this day sure has flown on by. I guess that's what happens when you don't get up til mid morning.
Got the house cleaned up - dusted, swept, and mopped. Started on some laundry, but still have to do bedding. Need to put some clean bedding on my bed.
Went out to PetsMart for critter food and then to the grocery store for people food. I decided to make chicken in the crockpot tomorrow. It sounds really good with cream of chicken and cream of celery soup. Also going to make some red potatoes in the crock pot also and it uses cream of potato soup along with cream cheese and dry ranch dressing mix. MMMM. . . . it's going to be so good. Still need to make dessert. I'm going to make a double batch of brownies and put fudgy icing on it. Darn, I was going to get one of those candy Happy Birthday kits to put on and completely forgot. Oh well. I'll have to see if I have any of that tube icing for writing.

Sorry you guys are not feeling well to go out and enjoy the weather. It's a scorcher down here. Hopefully we will get rain this coming week. We need it so badly. I"m going to put the sprinkler on out front in a little while.

Sounds like you do need to rest Lois. Don't push yourself too much.

Hmmmm I'm thinking I need both of those recipes for the crockpot, Maggie. Trying to put together menus for when Sue and Jeremy are here.
