I'm sure they will sneak some time in. Family is so important to Justin. Oh! Good news! Liz won a scholarship for drama teachers. She had to write an essay on what she would do with an extra 2K ....couldn't be spent on the class or kids. She wrote that high school friends were so important they need to be kept, etc & she would take her BBF & their hubbies to NYC to see Broadway plays to enrich their experiences in theater. So they scored an free vacation! Liz is amazing about going after things like that.

Krista, great job on the blog...it looks so good. Your goal is spot on too!

Suzy, we are taking pictures. This is the third house we have had built & have done it for all of them. It is fun to look back.

Soni, I found a free Robyn Carr book on Kindle today.... Sheltering Hearts. I was looking at books to use my Amazon GC but just downloaded a bunch of free ones again. Since I have not visited the library down here yet I will use my Kindle & what I had saved to read. As I am reading much less they will last a while.

I shared this with someone else this morning. This really worked for me the last time I was sick and had that killer sore throat.

Boil a cup of water. Put in 1 tsp. of Sage and let steep for 10 minutes. Then add 1 tsp. of apple cider vinegar and 1 tsp. of honey. I let it cool another 5 minutes before using it to gargle. It was still pretty warm, but felt good on my throat. That really seemed to help a lot.

Thanks Suzy. I'm so happy for her. I hope this will make things easier going to a new school. She'll already be exposed to lots of the other kids. Glad they are also doing it during the summer because there may be some other new kids to the school next year.

Oooh.... 47 sounds wonderful right now. House is still humid and hot. Josh is coming to recharge the freon in just a bit. Should be much better tonight. Thankfully, the temps today are in the high 70s instead of the 90s like yesterday.

The top shelf is open and goes the full 6' length then the bottom 2/3rds is divided into 3 cubbies with doors. It rolls on big industrial casters.

I designed it as our dining room table when we first lived in an old farm house with a 15' long/ narrow kitchen. We could put the leaves up and comfortably seat 10 people - 14 if we needed to.

I now use it as my cutting table. I can open the 2 long leafs to expand my cutting surface and we've turned one of the end leafs into a pressing board - covering it with batting and ironing board fabric.

That sounds pretty cool. I don't really need anything that rolls, and it doesn't have to be versatile (although, I may make an ironing mat to fit it). I just need to make it where I don't have to sit on the floor to cut fabric.

We will. I love VBS ... it wears me out, but I love it. I'm very glad that it's only one week of the year! LOL!

Again. We have a freon leak in the air handler. Our a/c guy was suppose to get us a quote on several options to fix it, but didn't get it to us in a timely manner. So, the freon ran out again. He's coming out today to recharge it, and he's suppose to bring the quote as well.

I HATE to be hot. At least when I'm cold, I can pile on more clothes. There's ONLY so much you can take off when you're hot ... then, you're still hot!!!

hmmm, you could get one of those cheap cardboard fold up mats & use it on your kitchen table or a bed. I could stand to cut on the floor, my back would not allow that.

I would so much rather be hot than cold! But yeah...sleeping when it's warm is hard. I got up today & decide to put on a tankini under my clothes so I could jump in the pool later; right~ today it stormed again & it only in the 80s oh well....it will be a long hot summer.

The only place you can get it is on-line. But I'll send you a bottle. If it helps, I'll send you the other 2. The last time I ordered for Lady, I ordered a case of 6

I took pictures of every stage of remodel we did on this house. I haven't put the album together yet because I've gone back and forth from wanting to make the album 'house-shaped' to using a standard album. I'm still leaning towards the house-shape but want Jeremy's photo opinion first.

Nah ... I want a good one. I have a 2x6 ft table that I've been using. Not optimal, but better than the floor. Once I get the library cleaned out, I'll be able to figure out what I want to put in there. I want something wider. Using the fabric on that narrow table is tough. I have a big mat on that table now (and a small ironing mat). I'll get an ironing mat that I can take on and off once I get the cutting table I want.

We wanted to swim today, but the weather just isn't conducive to that today. Bummer. We'll have time later, though. I .... strangely enough ..... don't have a ton scheduled for this summer ... yet.

So they scored an free vacation! Liz is amazing about going after things like that.
That is SOOOOO cool! Congrats to Liz! And what an awesome experience for them to bring back and share with their drama class.

Thanks, Maggie. The sore throat seems to have disappeared. Probably from breathing the cold air in the bedroom more than anything. I've switched to DayQuil so I can be comfortable. Man I miss being able to sleep it off LOL

Our group meeting went unusually well today. We were missing one of the more ... overbearing .... members. That made it a much quieter, and less confrontational, meeting. Made it pretty nice. Everyone worked together very well. I'm looking forward to the upcoming year.

We went out to lunch with some friends after classes. I had to leave early to get home to the a/c guy. He came, recharged the freon, and gave me estimates on fixing the issues. UGH!!!!!

Mark has a wedding rehearsal to go to tonight. He and Jonah are running cameras for the wedding tomorrow. Jonah doesn't have to go tonight, but they both will get paid for the job tomorrow. I get to stay home!!!!

Definitely a plus. Right now mine is more of a mixed-media art work surface. I have an old cutting mag that works great for protecting the surface and being able to cut without having to pull out the small cutting mat all the time.

The reason I said I needed Jeremy's photo opinion is because I want the cover of the house album to be the photo of the house itself. I just want the picture at the right pixels that I can use it for an 8.5x11 or maybe a bit larger without the picture being distorted. Then when we get it resided, I'll do an overlay of the 'new' front.

Adrian is in the jaccuzi tub. The water isn't high enough to activate the jets. But she can play in the warm water with her animals. I swear that child is part mermaid!

well thank you.I knew it was on line, but with issues with my computer I have lost a lot... and with out my computer friend to help, it is a bit lean on what I can do right now...

I hope it helps Daisy, With keeping her trimmed shorter I am afraid she might hurt herself scratching

it is only 64 here, I have the boys , with Krista and Keith needed to help at this home tournament, and not really knowing what to expect since it is their first time, I thought it might be better for the boys to hang here... Dustin is still feeling puny, and I did not want to sit through set up and get ready and 2 games with the winds and cooler temps...I hope I get to go watch Ali play soon... but I do think this was the best idea today...

Kel what about an 8 1/2 x 11 with the clear vinyl cover and using the enlarged picture on the cover...or some 12 x 12's have a picture insert in the front cover like a 7 x 7 size... I think I have one here if you cannot find those I bought it for an album of Wally and I and never made it... It is navy blue

No...nothing serious....just the spring check for the A/C. He was rather new at this. We had already ordered our own filters....and this guy installed them. With a little help from Jack. We don't have to pay for these calls. A few years ago they had a deal....for $298 they would do service checks for free for 10 years. We jumped on that deal! Now, we pay for anything that they find etc. Last year they installed the filters.....the price was terrible. So, we found a place on line and bought 2 sets of 2 (we have 2 units) and the shipping was free. So, we'll be set for another year. I was on the computer when the guy left...didn't realize that he left. Jack signed for it. An email came with the statement. Gosh....that was different! So, I printed it off for my files.
