I have a 2x6 table up there right now, but I'd love to have one that's actually big enough to be a cutting table. This one works to keep me off of the floor at the moment, though. After I clean things out in there, I plan to put one together using the 9-cube unit on each end and a counter surface on top of those. It would help in storage, as well.

Excellent!!! I know that parrot print looks great. I'm so glad you were able to knock that out today.

We did shopping for VBS today. I buy my own snacks, so I had to get all of that. I had to get several other things for the crafts, too. I think, other than a very few things, we're set now. It's gonna be a great week.

While in the Dollar Tree checking out, one of the stock guys came to ask about an item. The manager was running the cash register where I was checking out, and he told the guy that the items were really old. The guy said that they had a whole box of them. Then, I realized what he had .... they were the big, styrofoam airplanes!!!! The theme of VBS is aviation. I ran back and got the whole box! There were 24. We can use some for a craft and some for decorating (hang from the ceiling tiles). I was SOOOOOO excited to find them and to get the whole box. Cooooooooooool!!!

I just check my order status for my garden bench. It was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but apparently they tried to deliver it tonight. The tracking status says they came at 6:08 PM, but I was home then and they didn't come here. I didn't leave the house until 6:50 and got home about 7:50. Went to see Harper's mommy. We had a nice visit.

So called Fed Ex when I got home and found out what happened. They are going to deliver it tomorrow and I told them to deliver without having me sign for it because I'm not taking off the whole day to wait for them to come. He asked me if I had a preference where they should leave it. I told him it would be great if they left it in the back yard. That way I won't have to drag it out there. This package is 70 lbs.

I think Krista got one of her cards made, so I am on my way to the challenge thread to see if she got it posted...then I need to upload some cards to my gallery, but I may just go read for a while instead...This book I am reading is pretty good, easy to follow and flows well.

If I do not get back tonight, I hope you all rest well, and I will QUACK at you all in the morning

hey Maggie, thank you ... did you notice Daisy had "piggie tails " in stead of a top knot ?? I thought it was a cute idea for a change ...I am keeping her clipped shorter for summer, but I think when I let her get fluffy again, it will be really cute...

Good morning Quackers. I have to head to the doctor this morning for my BP check to get my prescription renewed.

We're supposed to get rain later on today. I'm hoping for a good downpour to perk up my azaleas. I'd like not to have to water tonight, but will if I have to.

I worked on another card last night to submit to Designed to Color. It's a critter card - the image is a cat. I think it's going to be really cute. Have the image all colored and papers chosen. Just need to put it together and figure out what kind of embellishments would be good for it.

good mornin

Looks like a rainy yucky day here. I want to work on the monthly challenge and maybe in the basement some today. Not sure what the rain will do to the ballgame schedule tonight. If all stays as scheduled Cody has a home game and Ali has a double header about 45 minutes from here.

Morning... as Krista said it is raining, I am not sure when it started, but since I have been up it has had a few spells that it is coming down pretty heavy...

I am at home today, other than running up town to drop off a library book and take Noah to get his hair cut...I am making some baked spaghetti for Krista's house for supper, and I need to decide on something for me ...

And I hope to simply play in my room a lot today...I liked what I did yesterday, maybe that will continue : )

I could put a few cards in my gallery to if I get around to it ... If the rain lets up, I want Noah to dig a hole for me for my shasta , and help me mix in some top soil, but I think it may be too wet for that ...

Mid-morning Quacks. Just got to the office after my doctor appt for my BP meds. No problems except he was late getting to the office. I was first on the list and still had to wait for him for almost an hour, but since I don't pay, I guess I can't complain.

Weather here is cloudy. It looks like most of the rain is to the North of us. I sure hope it rains at my house sometime today.

Hi there. I am too tired to catch up tonight. I didn't sleep well last night. I had too much caffeine and the house was hot again. It's hot tonight, as well, and I really want to pile into the bed and crash. We have our annual group meeting tomorrow, so that should be interesting.

The play was ..... fun .... tonight. Hahaha. It had some very "special" moments (read .... major issues), but the girls we went to see did a good job in their roles.

My niece, Angie, was with us all day, and that was very fun. And, today, was my first time cantering on the horse. SUPER fun.

I bedspread turned out cute. i had 12 yards of a fun parrot print I picked up real cheap...worked great. Now I need to make the pillow cases and a fun pillow to contrast.
Pictures?

My cutting table is actually a kitchen island I designed about 25 years ago from a picture in a magazine I saw. It is 2' across and 6' long. Then there are 1' leafs on either of the 2 long sides and (2) 2' square leafs - one for each end. One side of the island is open for storage below. The top shelf is open and goes the full 6' length then the bottom 2/3rds is divided into 3 cubbies with doors. It rolls on big industrial casters.

I designed it as our dining room table when we first lived in an old farm house with a 15' long/ narrow kitchen. We could put the leaves up and comfortably seat 10 people - 14 if we needed to.

I now use it as my cutting table. I can open the 2 long leafs to expand my cutting surface and we've turned one of the end leafs into a pressing board - covering it with batting and ironing board fabric.

Cool score!

LOL Not a light package. Plus, it won't be seen from the street.

I finally felt up to being on here for a bit tonight. Figured I'd take one area to catch up and pick another tomorrow. Adrian went right to sleep and sleeping peacefully. I couldn't give her cough medicine since I gave her Claritin today. Her nose was itchy... as in she was trying to rub it off LOL. So I switched gears on the meds. If the Claritin dries up her head, the cough will take care of itself.

well I think she is dealing with the pig tails well, I am sure it has to feel different, maybe more tugging... Krista made her bows, and put them in, so she is ok with that~ she has really gotten close to Krista, it is like Krista is filling her void... and K spoils her just like Wally did...go figure

I hope she can get past this fairly soon, I know my nasal issues are getting bothersome again...

It is super late, but I shut the tv off and finished my book...

It is 48 degrees at midnight brrr only expecting to get in the high 60's tomorrow...

I did get 3 cards put in my gallery tonight too, bust crafting day for me

Saturday is Mama Sues birthday, so I need to get a card made, I am going to Washington early Sat morning to join her , we are going to a craft show at a local festival, it has been a very long time since we have done that...I sure do miss Old Fashion Sunday In the Park...that is how we used to celebrate her day

I want to make a couple of scrap book pages for her too, she is always behind, like me...and she spends a lot of birthdays and holidays with us, so I think it will be a good idea...

Ok I am off to bed now ,I am sure morning will be here before I am ready for it ... good night all
