There were a lot of dumb ones - but I only watched until halftime.

I did see the chevy/end of world one on the net this mroning and it is a good one.

I loved 2 of the Audi ones - the cheetah was great.

Doritos was great as well. Espically the dog.

The sketchers with the pug was good to.

The bud's beer ones I saw where BLAH and they never are.

Back to work....

It was one of the Doritos commercials. They had a couple of them. I didn't watch the whole show yet, but I did DVR it so I can scroll through the rest of it. I saw this morning that bunge cord/baby one was #1.

Same here. I was scrolling through the game last night while I was card making and only stopped to watch a couple of them, but I didn't even get through half of the game.

The Doritos one that my DGD was working on was at a dog show and one of the men was rewarding his dog with Doritos and then all the other people started doing the dog stunts so they could come get some Doritos too.

Finally figured out why my computer here at work was running so slow. I went in this morning and cleared the History/cookies and now it's working great!

I didn't see that dorito commercial - only the one where the cats kept disappearing and the dog was bribing the man with doritos.

Morning ladies...sneaking on at work...such a bad girl!

Decided to cheer on the patriots...that worked out well...but it was a good game. I loved the doritos commercials the best this year. What happened to budweiser...wasn't too impressed.

Had the game on....watched the commercials. I liked the Doritos commercials also...plus, the VW ones.

The half time show wasn't what I expected....but, hey, it was Madonna!!! Jack said the the people there probably didn't get a good show because so much of it was on computerized.

I saw the reading nook on Steph's FB...I love it...

I know a lady that makes quilts that " rag up " I love them... are they hard to do?? she really only attatches the squares, no real quilting... but her price is a bit "pricy " I think for no quilting on them

I enjoyed seeing so many things that were built from Legos, the staff was great... and I was surprised and shocked at the gift shop, their prices were not any higher than what they are here in the store, but I did not think they had much to choose from... Maybe since it was spread out instead of in one or two isles, but I was happy to see some girl Legos called FRIENDS...yep Faith will be getting some of those
Glad you guys had a great time and the weather cooperated.
I remember the first field trip I took Grammy on. She still lived here in MO. I took her and Sue into Springfield. Battlefield Mall had the traveling Lego display. It was awesome seeing so many historical buildings created from Legos. Just amazing!

Dody, that reading nook turned out great. Wish Sue's apartment was compatible for something like that. Sadly, we just have no room or there would be one up for Adrian in a heart beat

I wasn't impressed with any of the SB commercials. Sorry the Pats strategy backfired for them.

Soni, rag quilts are relatively easy. Depending on whether you cut in from the edge to the stitch line every 1/2 inch or so (or not at all) determines the amount of work involved. I have all the fabric I need to do Adrian's strip rag quilt. Dody, have you seen these?

You cut your fabric into strips 2" wide. Cut your batting into 1/25 -1.5" width strips. Sandwich the fabric strips with the batting strips and sew a decorative strip down through the middle. Then you sew your strips together to create the quilt. I saw one in a LQS and knew it would be perfect for Adrian. Finally found the fabric collection I liked at WM last week (Davids fabric so good quality) then JoAnns had their batting by the yard 50% off yesterday and today. My Project Runway brother does all the cool decorative stitches I need so I'm good to get started.

Dody, those girls are adorable! Love little doggies but sadly will never have another inside dog.

I watched a Greg Kinear/ Jack Nicholson movie Saturday and Greg had the cutest little dog. Just a fluffy little thing in milk chocolate/ caramel color with a dk chocolate muzzle. Just too cute!

I've written my column for the week and got it sent off to my editor. Our local middle/ high school students lost one of their own on Friday night in a tragic car accident. Two other classmates were seriously injured. Not the kind of thing you like to write about. I've asked all of my readers (and everyone they know) to buckle up in memory of Christina. None of the students were wearing seat belts.

I have not weighed them in a long time but I'll guess about 12 pounds or less. They are so very loving, I am enjoying them

The one she worked on did have dogs in it, but I haven't seen all of the Super Bowl, so I don't know if it actually made it to the air or not.

They are super easy to do. Just sew wrong sides together instead of right sides together, sew an X in the middle of each patch...that's the 'quilting'. Then clip the seams every 1/4" of so about half way down...don't get too close to the seam. My SIL does alot of rag quilts using regular cotton, I have not tried that yet~ I like the softness of flannel.

LOL! She sure didn't. She better check that pedigree and see who her daddy was.

Oh, how tragic especially when it could have been prevented by wearing a seat belt. Just a simple thing and kids don't like to do it.

I did see the pattern for that! I love using up scraps so the ones I have made so far were just squares. When I use flannel I don't add any batting so that makes it even easier & it's pretty warm with 2 layers of flannel.
