Have about an hour before we have to get ready for the wedding. I think I'm going to stretch out for a bit. Not sure if I'll get back on until we get to the hotel in Springfield tomorrow night. You just never know. LOL I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend.

With a 90-day build, I take it you're using a pre-fab home. Are you going to start a blog so you can show us pictures of progress, stressing over the decorating, etc?
nope, not pre fab at all, actually cement block structure!!! Doubtful about the blog...no time!

well, we ended up getting a queen instead of 2 twins. The prices were almost the same & I hated to spend so much twice. But it will be delivered on wednesday. The kiddos will just have to share a bed.

Congratulations, Dody!! I'm so excited for you. Is there a place where we can see the floor plan? I think you posted it before, but I can't remember much about it.

Yikes!!! I'm so sorry that you lost some clothes out of the deal. I know that I can't afford to lose a bra.... I just can't find ones that I like very easily.

I should do that to my dryer ....

We had a great day!!

We went to Legoland Atlanta. How fun!!!! Everyone enjoyed it a ton. After we finished there, we went to the Varsity (an Atlanta icon) for dessert. We came home and jumped in the pool.

I have some things to prepare for tomorrow. Just a regular Sunday with nothing extra added on.

I don't blame you. Mattresses can be pretty pricey. The kids are still rather young aren't they? I wanted to do that with my 2 grands the last time they came over which was over a year ago and I was told by my DD that they would NOT sleep in the same bed. So they each brought an air mattress and put one in each of the spare rooms.

It makes sense that they would want you to have renter's insurance.

Went to the grocery store and gassed up the car @ $3.31 pg. I've been working on my PSC card. I have a digi to use, but I really don't like the way she sent it. The single one has sentiments printed below it which I don't like and they are so close to the image. Then there are 6 together on one sheet which I ended up using, but making them as large as I want it to be, the outline is a little fuzzy. I'm using it anyway.

I also went by the jeweler to get a couple watches fixed. Two of them had to get links removed and they fit perfectly. Got 2 new bands for 2 other watches and one needed a battery. I have an old Benrus wind-up watch that my 1st DH gave me when we got married, so it's about 50 years old. It doesn't wind and would need to be cleaned. The girl told me it would cost $120 to fix it. It has to be taken apart, cleaned and oiled and it's really small. I would say the face is about 1/2" by 5/8". I think it's white gold. It says 10K on the back, but I'm not really sure. I was trying to look it up on the Internet to see if I could find out anything about it. I may take it up to US Coins. They'll be able to tell me what it's made from. The girl at the jeweler said it was Stainless Steel, but that is just the back of the case and not the whole watch. There's another place on the watch band that says 10K also. I'm just not sure if it's worth spending $120 to have it fixed.

Maggie....yes, it would be good to find out if it's worth having the watch worked on. But, if it's one that you like....and have worn in the past. Then it would be worth having it done. There was a jeweler that my mom knew a long time ago from Germany. He would also work on watches at his shop. Gosh, it would be nice to find someone like that locally.

I've got chicken in the frig marinating. So, we'll have that with some veggies. Probably do a salad. We did some errands this afternoon. Forgot to go by Sprouts....wanted to get some fruit. I guess we'll get to it in the next day or so.

We will be going over to the "other house" tomorrow. Jack says he wants to do the yard in the back. I want to do some more sorting.

I haven't worn it in a long time because it hasn't worked for a long time, but it's still in excellent condition. The band is very pretty with embossed design on it and is links rather than a leather band. It just sounds rather foolish to spend $120 to fix a $30 watch. I am going to get it checked out though. The jeweler is a older oriental man. I've only been to their shop once before. I also asked about restringing pearls. I have I think 3 pearl necklaces that need to be restrung, one of which my parents gave me for my wedding way back when, so they are very old also. These are things that I would pass on to either my dd's or my dgd's at some point in time.

I had a quick dinner. Yesterday at mediation, 2 of the men left early so one of them told our receptionist that she could have his lunch. She was going t take it home for dinner. She e-mailed me and asked if I wanted the other one to bring home. I said sure. It was a chicken salad wrap which was pretty yummy, except for the bacon they put on it. I pulled that out of the wrap and it was pretty good. I didn't have much for lunch since it was baby shower food.

Got my roses all watered. I think tomorrow some time I'll do the rest of the back and the front again. No rain in sight.

Those are special pieces for sure. I have my grandmother's diamond watch that was given to her on her retirement from being superintendent of the county schools. It's a real old one too. I wear it everyone once in awhile. Plus, I have one that was my mom's. It's one that you wear on a blouse. She wore it when she did her volunteer work with the Grey Ladies. I remember her wearing it.

You did well on that one. We just finished supper. A little later than normal....but, we each had 2 chicken tenders, salad and corn.

I am sure it is pretty but with that small of a face, is it one you would wear? ...I doubt I would wear it enough to justify that cost...but you dress nice every day...

I'm sure I would wear it - not everyday, but for special occasions or to church sometime. The idea is to get it working so that it can be passed on to a dd or a dgd. I have at least 8 watches sitting in my drawer that I would wear on a daily basis, but this one is special.

Yes, for those special occasions for sure!

I have such a thing for watches and clocks!!! I guess that's why I have so many watches. Right now, I need to change out some batteries. So, I'm just wearing a couple of them. One needs a new band soon. The other one is a Hello Kitty that Deb gave me for Christmas a year and a half ago. That one is fun to wear with all the blingage!!!

I guess my watch "thing" started when I was about 4 or so. I was given an Alice in Wonderland watch. It still worked when I was in high school. It's a wind-up type....I think it was cleaned once. Gosh, wonder if it's in with all my other watches. I have a separate draw in the closet for all my watches. The kids sure did enjoy seeing all of them!

My watch thing started because I was too lazy to go get another battery for one, so I'd just buy a new one. Now I can just go to WM and they will replace them. I do have one that I really like that there is something wrong with it. The jeweler put a new battery in it today, but the second hand wouldn't go around. It's cute. It has a cat on the face and the second hand is a little mouse. I'm not going to pay $120 to have it fixed or whatever it would cost. That one is not worth it.

I guess I should go work on my card a little more. I have so many projects that I need to get done. I was just on FB and someone I am friends with posted about where to find some freebie images to download so she could practice with her Copics. There were 3 responses so I checked them out, downloaded a few and saved the sites to my favorites so I can go back and get some more.

Good morning Quackers! Went to bed early last night. Woke up about 2 with my right ear hurting. Not sure what that was all about, but I finally got up and took 2 Ibuprofen and went back to sleep. Feels okay so far this morning.

Welcome to your new great nephew, Soni. My great-great niece is 1 yr old yesterday. I don't get to see her very often, but she is a joy to all the family.
