I guess this morning, my plan is to go to the eye doctor and find out why my new glasses just aren't working for me. The place that made them did the lens too thick...which might be the issue. But, they give me a headache...and some of the distance has a blur to it. With the old glasses...no blur. I hate getting new glasses!
I hope it gets figured out... I don't like going to the eye doctor...but I need to get a new prescription.
I'm sure glad you got the good stuff! Did you start your Christmas shopping already?
yes! dh's mom is hard to buy for...got her a couple neat things. Her birthday is in June and I found a cool John Deere umbrella and flower pot.... for Christmas I got a gallon glass jug that is cut into 3 sections... an old fashioned canister set is what they called it... but I'll put a decoration in the top and candy in the bottom two sections....
maybe it's so we will feel cooler!!! I know if works for me....working on Christmas cards...I feel that sudden cold blast of air drifting across the table and hitting me in the face. Oh wait....that's the A/C coming on!!!!
Yep....that is so wrong having Christmas decorations out now! I didn't notice it when I was in two Hobby Lobby's today...but, then I wasn't in that section!!!

wow I hope this doctor can see what the problem is... not being able to see properly is so frustrating and limiting too ...glad they get you in soon
I'm so sorry that she's having to deal with the pains. Jared and Jaydin have had a lot of them. We keep Advil on hand for that. Thank goodness she can swallow pills at this point.
I'm so glad you're enjoying having Adrian!!!
One of my besties used to say that when something fell on the floor & she still ate it. Jen was real young then & would say "MOM!!!! Cindy is eating trash!!!!" cause I told Jen when food hit the floor it was trash. thanks for the memory jog!

ROTFLMBO!
I'm really surprised that HL is doing that already. One thing I like about Nordstrom is that there are NO Christmas decorations in their store until after Thanksgiving. That is plenty enough time. We all know it's coming.

Hi Quackers. I was off finishing up a card I started last night. The image is from The Outlawz, and the sketch is from MFT. I really like how it turned out. I need to photo it and get it uploaded. Not sure if that will happen tonight or not. I still want to print off some photos for a couple challenges that are using photo inspiration.
Hobby Lobby is putting out Christmas decorations................
Crafters have to get started early. I was asking about Halloween/Christmas material a week or two ago, and they told me it should all be in by the middle of June. I'm glad. I have some things to make.
sorry I thought maybe she had a big surprise
I know she will enjoy tonight
She had a blast. For the Princess and the Pea kids, one of the moms crocheted two peas in a pod for each of them. They are SO cute!!! The little peas even come out of the pods. Jaydin was so excited about that and her trophy (the 2nd in a week!!!) that I think she'll be on Cloud 9 for a week.
I'm so proud of them all ... they did a great job tonight.
I have 2 videos on my FB page of my DGD Morgan at her piano recital. This was her first year of lessons and she did so well. I'm so happy that she decided she wanted to take the lessons again. She took a few a number of years ago, but didn't want to practice so dropped them. I missed being at the recital because it was Saturday night when I was in Dallas.
Thank you!
Oh, goody! I'll have to go look at those .... tomorrow. Hahaha. Just too worn out tonight to watch anything.
Well here's something else to excite her. Bob gave FJ a tour of the boat yesterday and took her picture in several places. I'm so proud of him for offering and getting into the project for a little girl he doesn't even know
Oh my goodness. How very sweet of him!! Please thank him for us. That will thrill Jaydin to pieces. That's just awesome.
Didn't he write 2 books that sorta went together - about the angels coming and watching over certain cities and the power of beliving and prayer? The "devil" was fought off or something like that?
I may still have them and need to dig them out again. I love reading about the power of prayer and the good it can do.
This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness ... yes. They were about spiritual warfare. Great, great books.
This book was very different, but a good one. It is new (came out a couple of months ago, I think).
I enjoy his books, as well as Ted Dekker's. Great writers.

Hahaha ... I needed that sudden burst tonight. The room where we did the plays was SOOOOOO hot. We were just dying in there. And poor Jaydin was in thick lamb's fleece for the 2nd play.

LOL! Becky used to say it, too .... until she had kids.
We had a great time tonight. The kids were awesome. We had a reception afterwards, too ... a 'cast' party. They had such fun. One of the kids decided to put icing on my face. I DID get her back ... in a big way. It was a LOT of fun.

The guys started a bit early and the game lasted until almost 10:00 pm... but they won by one
Cody had 3 RBI's hit a pop fly, then a double I think , but was out at home...he was really hitting great tonight and running hard...
it is still 82 degrees... the winds slowed down , I need to go check the weather to see if we are still in the line of storms

my Cody is going to the State Track and Field competition. He took a first place in the 100 meter dash and so is his 4x100 relay team. I am so proud of these guys I could just explode.
Even if they don't win or place, it is quite an accomplishment for them. Plus to think that these are guys are going to a school whose 2012 graduating class has about 40 kids. They will be going up against other teams from the big metropolitan areas.

morning... so what are you all doing for the holiday week end?
We have the family reunion tomorrow, Ali has a softball tournament early Saturday morning, and it is possible they can play up to three games
so we are not sure they will make it ...
And Tammy 's best friend has a graduation party for her son on Sunday, another 8 th grade one, I might go with her, not sure
a year ago Monday we were all MOVING my belongings... and a year ago Sunday we had Wally's Memorial where has this year gone

That's great. Glad that it all went well. I bet those pea pods are adorable.

That is kinda late for the kids to be up on a school night. Sounds like Cody had a good night though.

LOL! I found out the other day that my Chancey cat likes pretzels. I had a couple pretzel chips in my bedroom and he was sniffing out what I had, so I broke off a little piece and he gobbled it up along with a couple more pieces. I don't like to give them too much people food. Maggie Mae is always wanting bits of my deli turkey.

Sounds like all the Cody's are doing awesome.
Congrats to him and his team. Keeping my fingers crossed for them.
