I'll tell y'all about the house another day! If I missed something important plz let me know, I doubt I can get it all read any time soon. I find I fall asleep when I sit now....go figure!!!!!
Hey Dody!
I thought about you having to walk away from the GA house. I knew it was tough but also knew you were moving on to your (or maybe Bud's) dream Time to make new memories in a new home as just the two of you (and the pups)
Not much going on in my neck of the woods. Staying on the go with Adrian LOL Her To-Do list grows every day.
DH is home again today - he always has to have a day after being sick to "recover" as he calls it. sure you do - you slept most of the day yesterday~!
Me, well I have take 2 advil this morning...sigh.
I just finished reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts - DH bought it for me last week from Walmart for $ 5.99
I went on Amazon to see if I could download them to my Kindle - well for $ 12.99 each ( series of 4 books) I think I can go to walmart and look for the others - or Half-Price books!!!
It was just a good book....
I still can't get over how much I enjoyed Firefly Lane -

I know! It didn't seem like that long. It just flew by, but I looked at the clock in my car when we pulled out of IHOP and it was 12:30.
Brownies sound good. I still need to get dressed and get something done around here. I just went back to bed to finish up the book I was reading "Spells and Stitches." It's a series about Magic that I've been reading. I sent the first one to Kelly at Christmas as part of her SS gift because I know she likes books about magic. I told her I'd send her the rest of them so I'll put 3 of them now in the mail to her. Kelly, not sure if there will be any more. The ending seems like there could be. I won't go any further than that.
I need to head to the grocery store for fruit and bananas. Need to see if there's anything else I need to get.
Yeah, more books! Yep, I enjoyed the first one Maggie. Thank you!

yes some of the new or current books are too expensive, but there are some good buys... you just have to look for them...I look on B and N since I have a nook, but they have they have books for .99 or 1.99 or 2.99 so I just look at the cheap ones ..
I do not read a lot of Nora Roberts, but her series on the Wedding planning I did, those were good
SONI - this series is not new - that last book was written in 2010. HA
Firefly Lne was written by Kristen Hannah - I want to say that Kelly was talking about it here. It has too many fo the "F" words in it, but the story line itself - friendship - is wonderful.

Okay, for some reason I missed Dody's original post about the colors. OMG! My guess is everyone got to choose the color they wanted for their area. Wish Bob was here to share this post with. When we were doing the planning for the house, he hated I wanted white everywhere. Claimed it made him feel like a hospital. I had to convince him the white provided a nice background for us to use color in the things we could easily change when we tired of it. LOL He's better.
Here's the photo of Gracie with her graduation hat on and a photo of the card I made for the trainer...we put the names of the dogs that graduated last night on the inside and I stamped "thanks" inside too.
There are things I do like about this house, there are things that I don't...it is fine for a few months. The house is under contract but it's a low offer with 2 banks needing to approve it,
Hey Kel... so what all is Adrian want to do ?
When is the big wedding ??
I saw Kassie in town at Kohls the other day, she smile and I had to ask if it was her... She is so pretty....
My last post for the morning. Adrian is awake and anxious to start her day. Especially after I told her she could play in the dirt today. LOL That kid was soooo dirty yesterday. When I brought her inside to clean her up, her face was dirt-tanned, and everywhere she sat, left a dirt mark. I had to scrub down the bathroom sink/ cabinet after getting her cleaned up LOL.
Today we are planting flowers and getting dirty. Then she gets to try out her new Sponge Bob sprinkler to wash off the top 2 layers before we come back in hehe.
She has started experiencing growing pains in her legs. Last night after supper they were so bad she couldn't eat her chocolate cupcake. Yep, she hurt. Once the Motrin kicked in, she was ready to finish the cupcake.
Soni, I'm so proud of your grands. They are super special in my book. I meant to send Ali a grad card but just ran out of time last week. Hope she won't mind it being a little late.
Adrian's asking for food so I'm off. Hve a great day!

yes I know, but they are still reaping that money... that is why I have not gotten all too excited about having my Nook or wanting a newer one, I cannot afford to spend $$ on books... but hey, the library and I get along just fine ... but I do know there are some great deals out there, and many more for the Kindles than the Nooks ... hope you find some
and I too do not like reading books with the F word, it is like me saying it !... no thank you

yep, indeed! love her stuff. I don't like the F bomb either but her content is so good. How did Krista like the 2 she got from the library? I am reading Robyn Carr's latest....it has taken me a week to read less than 100 pages, lol. The Butchers gave me an Amazon gift card for Mother's Day. I'll look into some books for my Kindle.

She liked them both , I looked, I have a few of hers in the books I have collected, so I am hoping to get to those soon... I think one is a Christmas time book...maybe that will keep me cool this summer lol
hope you find some great books to read ...
Dody I do not remember if you said you had read thee or not but I still love the series by Emilee Richards where the titles were all names of a type of a quilt...they really did not have a lot to do with quilting, well some did, but that title was important to the story line... if you have not, you might want to research her...I loved them all...they are fairly large books, but I zipped through them

speaking of research I am off to find when I can transplant a rose bush, just the small tea rose one, and what is the best area for my shasta...the two I planted last year did not come back, but I think it was the soil ans so very hot too... I hope I learn some thing
Yeah, more books! Yep, I enjoyed the first one Maggie. Thank you!
I really liked the 2nd and 3rd one. This 4th one I had some issues with, but I'll see how you like it. I'll try to get them in the mail this week, but with Adrian there, I'm sure you don't have a whole lot of time to read.

Yummy, fudge!
Sorry about not being able to transplant your roses. My little yellow tea roses are going nuts! All kinds of blooms and my knockouts are blooming up a storm also. Wish my azaleas were doing as well.

My knockout is the one that the boys broke off this year,
so my little yellow tea rose is the only one I have...
where it is , it is doing well, but I do not get to enjoy it, it is on the backside of the house, and I only go there to water it...
however, I did see a shady spot out that way that might be a good spot to sit and read...

I'm not crazy about the word either. Lack of creative writing if you ask me. Though in 'erotica' there is time and place for it... just sayin'
It wasn't me that mentioned the Firefly series. I'm not a scify reader.

Apparently tillers and I don't work well together either. I only got one thing done outside I wanted to do. I got the 2nd tire tier put on the potatoes. I pulled one of the plants up temporarily to show Adrian where potatoes come from. Cute little teeny tiny red potatoes coming on. Out of the 10 plants, I'll have plenty.
I had planned to till the row and transfer the 6 Better Boy tomatoes from the potting soil bags to the actual ground. Then at the end of that row put a big planter tub as a holding pot for the Everbearer Strawberries. They aren't doing well in the bed they've been in. I think it just needs reworked and nutrients put in. But I couldn't get the tiller started so I put everything on hold til it cooled off this evening.
A red jacket sting put an end to that. The swelling has gone down thanks to a mud pack but still hard to grip things with my left hand. It will be better tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be back in the garden except to water until Monday. Packing tomorrow for our trip to OK. We leave early Friday.

I just read G.I. Joe and Lilly... the story of Joe Bonsell's parents (from the Oak Ridge Boys). The book is in it's 8th printing. I'll be posting a review on the blog in the coming weeks. I read the entire book in 2 sittings yesterday.
I really liked the 2nd and 3rd one. This 4th one I had some issues with, but I'll see how you like it. I'll try to get them in the mail this week, but with Adrian there, I'm sure you don't have a whole lot of time to read.
You're right there. Though I did read the Joe Bonsell book yesterday... sitting in the shade while she played in the dirt. Felt good to just sit and read. I fluffed off last night and read the rest of it instead of working hehe

I stopped by WM on my way home to get some new batteries in a few of my watches. Can't believe how many I have. Got 5 of them fixed. I still have one that is a wind up that I need to take to a watch repair place to see if they can fix it.

I made my airline reservation to go to CA today. I'm leaving on 6/21 and coming home on 6/25, then I'm taking off 6/26 to unwind. I won't get home until after 6 on Tuesday and no way would I go to work the next day.
Called my yard man tonight for him to come trim my 2 big trees. He's supposed to come tomorrow evening. I also want him to check my azaleas. I put the sprinkler on them again tonight. 2 looks great; 1 looks definitely dead, and the other 3 are so-so. They all get the same amount of water, so I don't know why some of them aren't doing well.

Hi Maggie, how was your day ?
Hi Debbie, so what did you buy??
Dustin played well, hit all three times up to bat, slid in home once, we need to work on that slide
he played just past 2 nd base in the outfield, pitcher tho the coaches pitched and made a play from there throwing to first
and payed attention most of the time ... So in all not a bad night... Keith got there in time to help , so that is great !
