Morning ladies. It's a writing marathon writing day but wanted to stop in and say hi.
Skies are overcast. Dark enough I had to turn a light on here in the dining room. But it's in the low 50s and very pretty outside temperature-wise. Sure looks like it could give us an old fashioned spring thunderstorm though, and the temps are right, so we'll see.
I think that I found a place in CA that has some treatment. There are supplements that get rid of the toxins in your body. You need to made some food deletions, but nothing that I don't already not eat. That probably didn't make sense. There is also a spray that I can spray on the area. My question to them was about the glycerin in the spray. I got a response back that it is from vegetable and not petroleum so that should be okay for me. I checked them out and they do have a good BBB rating so I think they are legit and I've also seen some other chatter about them on the Internet and it's all good. I think I'm going to try it out.
ridding the body of toxins is a good thing. Keep us posted on how it works out. Might help this issue I have connected to my PCOS
Good for you. I've actually done a couple of the Outlawz challenges this week. Did the Monday Greeting Card and the Thursday Twisted. I did the color one too, but I need to upload it.
I haven't gotten a name yet for the Teapotter. I do have an image to use, and I probably should get a card ready.
I chose not to tickle this time. I just don't have time for one more thing over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
I have Addison tomorrow, starting at 8:00am and her visit will continue until sometime around 6:00pm on Wednesday night.
I have to do a grocery run, do a return to Penney's, stop at the gas station and I think that's it. I will probably start my day by doing my online bill paying and checking my grocery list before she arrives.
I have sold a few items on eBay, so those will have to be packaged up and readied for the post office. Plus I haven't picked up my mail since Friday so I bet there is a bunch.
I got an email from American Family today. In it was a "welcome to the family" greeting, plus several electronic forms that had to be completed and returned. The forms included my withholding form and payroll direct deposit. When I didn't find anything regarding the health insurance, I sent off an email to the HR rep. She answered me that they were still checking my references and criminal background. She said it could take anywhere from 7 to 10 days before those checks were completed. The job starts on 2-13-12 and if by today, it could take 7 to 10 days to complete those checks, how would I have been able to give 2wks notice to an employer should I have needed to. I wonder if this is happening to anyone who did need to give the 2wks notice. I sure wouldn't feel comfortable giving a resignation notice without a definite "you got the job" confirmation. Too many things can go wrong or maybe I'm just too cautious.
Rep said that she would call me when the checks are completed and only then would I receive the health insurance forms to be completed. So... I don't know for sure if I have a job or not. It's all still pending.
I don't know why you wouldn't, Sue. Unless you have stuff in your background you're not sharing LOL Those are all formalities they have to do to cover their behinds.
Welcome to American Family. They've been our ins. co. for almost 30 years and we've never regretted it. Haven't always liked our agent LOL but the co. has been good to deal with.
Larry's going to work, and then I think he plans on going to his granddaughter's basketball game tomorrow night.
the references they are calling are my past employers. So that is my worry. I did sign a form that stops Dean Clinic from releasing any info so hopfully, that won't count against me. I did offer the HR rep copies of my past performance reviews - from a previous supervisor who I worked with for 2.5 yrs. But they didn't want them ... at this time. So I guess I just wait and see what happens.
still having a hard time understanding why I had to complete those forms today if I wasn't "confirmed".
I would be wondering that, as well. Seems that you could do all of the needed forms at the same time once you're confirmed. I hope this all works out for you.
We've been to piano, and we're eating lunch now. When we're finished, I have several things to do upstairs. I have a card that is due tomorrow and a journal to make for Flat Jaydin. It won't be 'adorable,' but I think it will work.
Then, tonight, I have to get iQuest plans done. Ugh. I'm tired and getting somewhat overwhelmed.

Don't let it all get to you. If needed, put something on the back burner for a bit.

I'm sure you're busy with tons of stuff from what I can tell. This is my first time and since I had an image that would work, I decided to do it. Can't wait to see who I send to.

It's official. I am employed. Training starts at 8:00am on 2-13-12. Classes are from 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F for 4wks. Then I go to permanent shift of 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Couldn't they give you a little notice? Was it an individual or a realtor?

Late day quacks...
well having my labs drawn really hurt today ... Not sure why, this girl is awesome usually but of that and taxes, I sure am glad it was the labs that hurt...
I did some looking around, At Mikes and hobby lobby and Jo Anns... I really did not find much...
Dody I did see the iron sculpture, but did not get it... I decide to wait and see what else I can find to go with it...the wall is big and I want enough to go there...

That's why I wanted you to see it for yourself. The spot I need it for is small. It would have been fun for us to be twins again tho

Dody....I can't get over that she thought she called!!! At least you are a little more relaxed this time about it all. Nothing like being "seasoned" now!
Soni...sorry about the labs hurting. Not fun!!! Sounds like a good plan to wait on the decorating until you find exactly what you want. I didn't realize it was a bigger spot than what Dody had.
Maggie...score on the lunch!!
Karen...so you had oatmeal for lunch? I like oatmeal...so that would work for me...if I was alone for lunch.

Know the feeling, Shell. I just keep telling myself there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can see it But I swear it keeps moving on me hehe

Good for you! All the way around. Yeah, bustin' your bum last year really didn't pay off. And if they call from the driveway, they have to accept that you do have a life ::: gasp :::

Thanks Maggie. I was looking 8-10 capsules 2x a day! Geez. I'm already taking 12 different vitamin supplements. I'll be a walking pill bottle LOL

So how did the house showing go, Dody?
It is still 60 degrees here and absolutely beautiful outside. I sat outside and just enjoyed the spring-like weather in the semi-darkness.
I'm only writing for about another hour then I'm moving to the couch with my crochet hook. May you have sweet dreams!
The showing was a man alone, moving up from Fl, he's doing the prelooking before his wife comes up. He seemed to like the house but Bud heard him say something would be "a hard sale" maybe the sunken famikly room? Whatever, yes we are so much calmer this year!!! I was just glad there were no undies on top of the clothes basket, heeheehee!!!!
I made a thank you card for Bud to give his buddy who brought balloons & goodies after the surgery. He is into fish tanks too so I wanted something with fish. I couldn't find any DP & my stamps weren't thrilling me BUT I have some cool fabric.....so I covered a piece of watercolor paper & used it. LOVE IT!!!! I will be using fabic again, very cool!!!

I hate when that happens. Sorry she wasn't more careful.

LOL! Hmmm. . . how big is his family? Maybe it's too much room for them. Don't know what's wrong with a sunken living room.

How clever of you. Did you photo it for your gallery?
I managed to get a workout done tonight. My Visiting Teacher was supposed to be here at 7. She's late. If she's not here by 7:30, she loses because I'm going to go take a shower. I have a ton of things to do and need to get busy.
