Sorry you didn't get the sandals Soni. That was sweet that you were able to help some ladies at Joann's.

I like to use pineapple and I put a few drops of coconut extract in it. Really good.

Was out to visit my GF this evening. Called my yard man before I left to go. He wasn't home yet. He called while I was gone, so I called him back. He's going to come on Saturday to put my shrubs in the ground for me.

morning all....

It's been a busy crazy time this week...and it's not over!!! MIL will be here until this afternoon. BIL is going to check to see what the weather is before the plans are made to fly. He said that he wants to fly will there is light. They came in on Wednesday night...it was a bit dark. So, my day is up in the air.

We worked on craft stuff after going to my eye appt and to HL. Got a few things done. She did a couple of cards. We found a magazine to use baker's twine to make lollipops. Oh...very cute!!!

Good news. I'm officially a Sr. Design Team member over at Perfect Sentiments. I was asked to stay on and of course said yes. This is a great bunch of ladies that I'm working with and they have really helped me push myself and think outside the box.

Morning...

Suzy, glad you have had an enjoyable time with your MIL... and hope your busy weekend all goes well

Dody, I need to go looking for summer shoes... I did find a pair of brown sandals in my closet, I forgot I had and I did buy a new pair of black ones last year... So I am thinking just a pair for around the house, those tone ups were white but they were vinyl so I could wipe them off and clean them up I doubt that they are still there...but gee, I can cross my fingers and hope

Karen, hope today goes great and sets a trend for your weekend

Sue , hey so how are ya??

Kel...busy busy ... do you have Adrian yet?

Lois, hoping you are feeling better each day

Thank you Soni.

I do seem to be getting exposure. I had a lady post on my TPT Paris card from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. Wow! I'm the one usually posting on their cards because they are so beautiful.

I took pictures, the dress fits great...even room to grow. I thought I downloaded the pictures but I guess I didn't. I'll try again later. I now want to make her a few more plus make a few hats for little man. He kept wanting to try it on too Funny, it turns out that Alyssa has a strawberry shortcake party to go to in 2 weeks. Stef wants to try & make a dress for the birthday girl. I think I have enough fabric left that she can. Guess she'll get a sewing lesson after all.

now that is really cool...

Dody I went looking for a measuring / cutting board...I have never used one , but I want to with Krista's curtains, plus with Ali getting her machine, I thought it would great to "teach" her in a better way... I saw the largest solid one piece was 24 x 36 and cost $65.00 they had one larger, but it folded was $99.00 I think... what would you suggest?? I do not think I would use a larger one a lot...I have no desire to make fitted curtains, I do not quilt... just basic sewing projects... and wowzers was I shocked at the prices... thank goodness for coupons...I only looked at JoAnn's I wonder how Hobby Lobby compares...

I bet it is cardboard, not worth it. I have one from a long time ago when I put it on my bed to lay out a pattern. It is ok if you are only doing garment sewing. The 24x36 cutting mat is great, you won't need any bigger...at least I don't They sometime use the biggest ones at the quilt stores. This is great to use with the rotery cutter & a 6x24 ruler. Line the fold on a line toward the top of the mat & use your ruler to line from top to bottom where you want the cut. Quick & easy, look on You Tube for a video, see is always better than reading.

shocking, right? but they last forever & I wouldn't be without mine. I have a few of the smaller ones but only one of the big one. I did but Stef a set because I think they are that important to sewing. Coupons are wonderful!!!!!

Our weather here is a bit overcast, but I was able to get across the street and do my walk at lunchtime.

Bosses both went to court for a major hearing this afternoon. Hope they stay gone the rest of the day.

I don't think I told you guys that my main boss went for an MRI on his hip yesterday. He said he was in "excrutiating" pain. Turns out one of his discs broke off and is pinching on a nerve. He's trying to get things set up so he can have surgery next week. We thought he had it set and then found out that the surgeon is not "in network." I went to our insurance website and printed off a list of surgeons that are in network and now he has to figure out who else he can get in to see soon.

Well, sounds like Buddy is his own guy. Won't take any back talk from those little girls. I hope Gertie wasn't too offended. Give them time.

hi all....
Well, I'm back from taking my MIL down the aviation area...close to Love Field. Once my BIL told me where to meet him...it wasn't so bad. He wanted us there by 3pm. We got there about 10 min late. I guess that's not too bad! We went out for lunch and then went to Michael's. Used my 50% off coupon. She bought a MS score board....and I got some adhesive for my cards. Everything I saw was already on sale....NOT surprised! Now, she is wondering about getting the board home. I told her I would mail it. No way...she wanted to take it with her.

She will have her hands full. She is taking a Yorkie puppy back to VA with her. His name is McCoy. But, they call him Tank. Interesting....

I never got to see a picture of him. He has been living with BIL and SIL. They have several Yorkies. Plus, they are keeping the little girl who is tiny. MIL would have preferred that one. So, we called the airlines to find out what she needed to do to take him home with her. Did find out she has a long flight....total time will be 6 1/2 hrs. Wow!

Yes, I'll get a picture of the lollipops. I made one early this morning. Might have to get some other colors of baker's twine. She had the blue/yellow/red pack. Made very cute ones.

Yes, it was fun. I think the part I wasn't looking forward to before she got her was the schedule. But, our stamp group ended up postponing to another day. I wasn't the only one that might have a problem. As it was....I wouldn't have had a problem anyway. So, I'll work on cards until Jack gets in from Houston.

Wow!
This morning I was thinking there was something that I wanted to buy at Michael's with that 50%, but then I forgot what it was.

That's going to be a long trip for that little Yorkie.

Sounds like a plan. I'm hoping to get lots of work done this weekend myself.

Line the fold on a line toward the top of the mat & use your ruler to line from top to bottom where you want the cut. Quick & easy, look on You Tube for a video, see is always better than reading.
thank you, I did not think the 6.99 one could be worth much... ok I will wait for a coupon then at JoAnns, unless I run across another one at a better price

I have not caught up...Faith is sleeping, Dustin just got a bath Aunt Tammy took Cody for a ride, he was upset that he did not get to go with his mom... Krista took Brooke and Ali and Noah and Ali's friend Emily to see Hunger Games... That was part of Brookes present...plus of course Aunt Krista made her cake, special designed as Brooke drew it ...
They all just crack me up with these cakes...

We have a movie to watch "Mr Poppers Penquins" as soon as Cody gets back and gets his bath...

Oh I am not even worried, tho he tried to go after their food so I gave him his and swatted him, he looked at me like " well" he really wants to be in the breeze way...but it is so pretty out... Gertie is the lover of my two girls, I am sure she will be fine... As I told Buddy, Daisy is # 1 here the rest of you can all learn to get along, as long as you do not pick on Daisy, we will all be just fine ...

Only I would sit and talk to these animals... lol
