He is doing pretty good thanks. He is afraid to eat much so he's losing weight.
Well, I'd say losing weight is a good thing, but maybe not for him. Is he slim?
I'm determined to take off some pounds. I may have to do Biggest Loser by myself and pay myself for what I lose or when I exercise. I think once I start getting into the routine of walking again I'll start working out again and it'll all be good.
Good afternoon, Quackers. Going to fly through here a little quickly then I need to go into town for a bit. Mondays are always nuts! LOL How is everyone else doing?
Oh, I am so glad that you are excited. I want this to be amazing for Jaydin, but I don't want to impose on anyone. Thank you so much for everything!!!
Jaydin LOVES zoos and animals. She will be thrilled with that.
Hmmmm... I'm thinking we have not taken Adrian to the Drive-thru wild animal park yet. That might be fun! Or the big cat rescue place. It's right on the way to Eureka Springs
Thanks, Shell...you know how it is when you try to pick up the slack for a loved one, I try to do things way before he can. It seems fine while I am working but I pay later.
Is he still having a lot of healing issues?? It seems like a long time ....
After church today, a friend (and our deacon) at church had a bed frame in the back of his truck. He was looking for someone to give it to. When I found out it was a bed, I said that I'd take it. It's a cast-iron, antique ... and it will be perfect for Jared's room. We will need to get a mattress and box springs for it, but it will be great for that room. I may even be able to get rid of Jared's loft bed once this is set up and ready to use.
LOL It might work for that all right. I saw a raised garden bed Maybe a bed of miniature roses
Would you believe that late this afternoon, Dustin's temp F-I-N-A-L-L-Y read a normal temp. And it was still normal before bed. The only other time it has read normal was later Wed afternoon and at bedtime that night. But it went right back up Thursday morning. Then... Cody ended up with a temp starting Saturday. UGH! No other symptoms for him either. We decided that if Dustin's is still normal tomorrow, he will go to school. He NEEDS to go LOL. If it goes back up, we are calling our doctor in the morning and having him see him. If we do that, we'll just take them both in. If Dustin's stays down and he goes to school tomorrow, I think we'll just keep Cody home and see what his does.
Kids will keep you hoppin' won't they KK? I'll keep reading to see how they are doing this morning.
Dody....sorry your back is bothering you. Take care....
I have to do my back exercises every morning. It seems to help....namely the days that we bowl. Which, I'll need to go and do those soon!!!!
We'll be out of here in about an hour and a half for our long normal Monday.
Last Monday we didn't stay at the high school long...well, we were a little later leaving than planned. We had a retirement dinner to go to. It was at a 4 star place....the food was great, service was wonderful!!! As Jack told the guy when they were doing the "remember when" speeches.....He told him..."welcome to the dark side!" Everyone laughed!
Sounds like a busy day as usual for you too, Suzy. Did you or anyone else catch that awesome Hallmark movie on ABC last night? I can't for the life of me remember the title but it was about a group of Special Ed kids from (MN ?) who went to Space Camp. It was a very cool movie. You can get the DVD on -line and they are going to run an encore presentation in a week or so. I'd check out ABC.com to see if you can find the details. Definitely a must-see for my rocket friends
oh, it's because of the lack of a gallbladder that he is worried. Too much fat in his diet could cause tummy issues. He'll be fine as he readjusts. Remember he can eat like no other person I ever met, he can down an entire half gallon of ice cream & then eat half a cake....that has to stop. Moderation is NOT in his vocabulary!
LOL I think that is a guy thing. My sister had hers done almost 2 weeks ago and she isn't concerned at all about what she eats... but then she wasn't before LOL
GUESS WHAT! I finally went to walk again. It's been about 3 months since I've been able to get out. Felt so good and not even sore. Wonder how that will be tomorrow?
Yeah for walking! I've not been on the Wii this morning. Mondays are just too nuts!

right now he is down right skinny, he weights LESS than me!

There are 12 of us signed up for BL this time. 10 weeks total. I started at 180.4 I was down .4 on Friday. I really need to work hard over the next 9 remaining weeks. I'm shooting for a 10 pound loss but 15 would be better. I opened up the Island Run on the Wii Fit Friday morning. Boy, was that a trek! LOL I'm picking up a new set of those interlocking exercise mats for the living room so I don't have the impact on my knees/ ankles when I run.

he gets a stabbing pain if he lefts too much, that & his arm need surgery...he had his right arm done a few years ago...now the left one needs it. My man is falling apart!

That doesn't sound good! Sounds like he just needs some comfort food.
Speaking of, I'm off to the restaurant to get some lunch and catch up on some paper work. Then the doggies claim they need food. ::: sigh ::: another check to the feed store.
I'll check in this evening after I"ve accomplished something LOL
KK, waiting to hear what the doc has to say this afternoon.

I'm planning that I will walk now every day unless it's raining. I'm hoping that we don't have anymore really cold days that will keep me in, but you never know.

I did the Island Run for awhile, but then my doctor advised against it. He doesn't want me to run. I guess I could just do a more casual walk in place doing it. I like the step one much better and I usually do that one twice before I do my strength training and I save yoga for last.

Hmmm ... interesting. I've had VERY few issues from having mine removed. I do know that I can no longer eat hot dogs, but other than that, I'm pretty much good to go on anything I want. I *gained* weight after mine came out ....

I'm thinking that you're going to have as much fun with this project as Jaydin is!!
We made 4 Flat Jaydins today. She is, of course, dressed in a cowboy hat and chaps. Jaydin and I had a great time making them.

just yesterday, I had a hot dog with chilli and cheese. it was yummy.
Yeah ... I don't do hot dogs anymore. It took a long time for me to figure it out, but regardless of how good it tastes the first time, it's not worth the 'taste' for the rest of the day.
A friend in our homeschool group just announced that her son and one of her daughters has lice. UGH, UGH, UGH!!!!! With Jaydin's scalp issues, I'm not sure if I should treat her or what. She sure doesn't need any of this.

I'm still battling the rash on my leg. Everything that I try makes it worse or it doesn't do anything. Found a company in CA that I'm investigating for a "natural" ingredients type treatment.

First, ya know that you were/are a lot younger... second, most of the eating issues are mental now. He is still afraid of getting that horrible pain~ he had a large meal when the stones got caught in the neck of the gallbladder. Time will fix that

Well, both boys' temps have stayed low to normal since meds this morning. They got checked over good - I guess strep is going around pretty bad right now, but they seem good on everything. So it's definitely something viral. I have a script for Cody to take a z-pack if he would show any signs of needing it, but not filling it if not. They can both return to school tomorrow. He said the temps may vary a little while, but they are good to go.

True .... but I was also 6 weeks postpartum ...
Yes, it does take a little time to get past the fear of eating. That will pass, though. I hope it passes quickly for him.
I have that from time to time, but it's not common. It's not related to any particular type of food, either. Just one of those things that happens whenever.

I only caught a part of it, but I would like to see it all, most nights if I turn my tv on, I check out the Hallmark channel first...
