I've got to get things ready for my friends to come make cards. I finished up the 10 cards last night - made 8 of them. The whole set comes out really cute. You also make a little box to keep them in. Would make a great gift to someone for them to send out. I need to put pearls on them, but haven't done that part yet. I"m going to have at least 2 of them coming. I called my 2 friends from church and one of them has been sick all week, but she wants to come, so we'll see.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
you'll have to take pictures...can't wait to see these.

Sounds like that leader went out with bad feelings if she made things so bad for you guys as far as your meeting place and the theater. So not nice.
I"m supposed to go see Hunger Games next Saturday with a friend. It looks like it's going to be better than the book. Lots of action. You just don't get that in the book.
That was really hurtful of this lady, Shell. Can't get over how some people act. That is so "high school". You want to tell them..."they are the grown ups!"
I didn't realize that Hunger Games was a big deal. We hadn't read the books...We've seen the previews of the movie.

my church's steak supper is tonight... I help in the morning getting the tossed salad prepared. got that done in a short two hours. Of course I had help... 3 others helped and two others were working on washing wrapping the potatoes to be baked... a yummy rib eye steak with the salad, potato, dessert and drink... I can't wait to eat!
Dinner sounds delish, Debby! Wish I were closer, we're having chicken with that new Kraft crusting...forgot what it's called already, lol. It has shredded cheese and bread crumbs & spices.

Yes. She's angry. She's also the drama teacher that I was not happy with. I can honestly say, though, that I wasn't the one that caused this. I'm not positive who was, but that really doesn't matter at this point. I have no issue with her quitting ... or being angry. Taking it out on the kids (by dropping the class she was suppose to teach, holding the drama dates at the theater without us being able to use them, and such) is NOT ok. Problems with adults should not affect the kids.
The movie was actually one of the most accurate book-to-movie flick that I've ever seen. It was not better than the book and not worse than the book. There were a couple of things that were just plain wrong, but I tried hard to ignore the fact that they were not in tune with the book.

hi all....
We went to one of the high schools last night...was fed dinner and we judged some of the categories. The high school that we have our rocket teams did have some things in to be judged. But, lucky for us...that wasn't something that we had to look at. We judged the rubber band airplanes...plus a few other events. Now, Jack is over their watching them fly. We both figured I didn't need to go to that.
I'll get our stuff ready in a little bit for our teams to fly. That's if they remember!!! We'll see which ones show up!
The teacher in charge of the judging last night wanted us to go out of town in April to judge the state competition. He would buy us dinner and put us up in a hotel. But, we had to decline...it's the same night as our rocket teams have their last chance to fly before all paperwork is turned in.
I hope you had a good turn out today with the rockets.
I'm sorry that you aren't able to go with them in April. You are getting very busy!!

Yes, it was. It was completely uncalled for and spiteful.
I have read the first book and am in the middle of the second. Very good books. Very good movie.

it is delicious!!! and one that I don't have any stress with... LOL...
I've grown to love the honey mustard salad dressing...yummmm

It went well. Only 2 of the ladies came. The one I talked to that was sick last night didn't show. I hope that she'll come another time. We only got the box done to hold the cards and one lady got 2 cards done and the other only 1 card. The box took a lot of time. We're going to get together again so they can finish up the cards. I started working on a second set, not quite like the first so I can use up the extra stickers and papers. I'm thinking that I'll give a set to each of my girls for Christmas. Maybe I'll make a set for my DGD who is off at college.
I made a card tonight for The Outlawz and got my blog updated. I wanted to get it done tonight so I could get it posted on their site so I could get the new images tomorrow. I really like the way it turned out. It's for Easter. I need to have at least 3 cards. Going to send one to each of my families - DD, DD, DGD with some Easter goodies.

I will when I get them all finished up. I bought a tutorial for the 10 cards and the box. I did make a couple changes to 2 of mine, plus I didn't have the same stamp set she used for the sentiments, so I just used the different things that I had.

That was nice that you got dinner last night. Sorry that you can't go to the state competition to judge. I hope your rocket teams come through for you and make a good showing.
Off to get a shower. After that I made see about getting my PSC card done. I have an idea of what I want to do for it, so I hope it'll come out the way I envision it.

Good morning Quackers. Got my chores done for this morning, now off to get ready for church. We're supposed to be having greart weather, but it's really foggy/misty this morning. Not good hair weather. SYL

wow, that was surprizing...it's been 125 days since I was on the Wii. It felt pretty good except for the dizziness going from floor work to standing. I also started laying out things to make Alyssa a dress. I can't find my pins or zippers but I can buy more of those. I set up 1 sewing machine but will keep the room neat as a pin for awhile. Guess I need a WalMart run before I can sew but NOT going there on a weekend!

I'm sitting at work and because they company allows me to chat when not working. I think I will take advantage for a few minutes. The weather is so beautiful, that I am hoping we don't have any severe weather to deal with.
I just took a call from an insured in Lawrenceville GA. Would you believe it? Made me think of Shell right away.

Yes, well .... that 'sweet' gift is now cooling my bedroom since the a/c in the house is messed up. Argh!! At least we were able to move it down here to use. I have Jaydin sleeping in the floor in here with me.
Lobster does sound yummy! I think it's been about 30yrs since I've had lobster. No place close to me to get it at a reasonable price. I'm not paying $35.00 for a 6" tail.

I've been sleeping with the windows open too. I was told that the central air is not working - certainly hope he plans on getting that fixed in the "off" season.
Thinking maybe I should try the central air at my house.

I'm thinking some peony bushes in the varigated white would be beautiful. I have a lilac bush that would be close by and it is a double-petaled dark red violet color. I'm trying to coordinate all my flowers into red and white shades in that are of my house.
I do want to start another bed in the front of the house, but that may be a few years away yet.

If no one has told you yet, go to DailyCheapReads.com and sign up for their daily enewsletter. Every day you'll get a list of books you can purchase for FREE to extremely reasonable. They have apps as well as books.
Is this just for Kindle or can the books be gotten for a Nook too?

I know how you feel after being away from the Wii for so long. It's so hard to get it going again. I had been doing really well and had progressed so much and after being off it and sick for so long over the holidays, I'm back to the starting point again and trying to build up my reps and my stamina. I've notice though that the Wii does not really work the upper body much so now I do the Wii on M- W & F. Then on Tuesday and Thursday I do Kathy Smith's workout with weights and I do the Upper Body workout.
What kind of dress are you going to make for Alyssa? Is it for Easter or just a new dress?
Yes, I don't like to go to WM on the weekends either or even at all if I can help it.

Sounds like a practical idea. Just in case you need it.

Awww!! Thanks for thinking of me. Cool that you had one for Lawrenceville ... that's where Dody lives!
