With the pollen count almost at 10,000, I'm not about to open windows! We're already having allergy issues. That would send us over the edge.
boy, that's the truth too!!! I wondered when I read Connie (granny) say that she is still hanging her clothes/sheets outside. I would not want to bring that much back inside. I am staying inside as much as possible but wow...ii's crazy this year!!

My Mom uses the VA too because she is a WWII vet. The good thing is that the VA in Madison is affiliated with the UW hospital system. She gets excellent care, thankfully.
I am so happy to read this!!! Our Vets desevre the very best care & I really hope I was wrong about ALL VA hospitals.
I just heard that Marylou is being sent to a critical care lung specialist...possiblity of finding sarcoid... again she is very very sick...
Prayers for her to accept this and be blessed with PEACE not fear
and for GOD to hold Bill very tight and help all of those that love them both
He will do what is best for her HE has answered so many prayers in her sick time
Also Randy goes to his first oncologist meeting today ...1:30 over in Indianapolis... I will update as I know any thing
Hugs for you, Soni as you travel through this dark time again. Prayers for peace in mind and body for everyone effected.
I need to do a big Kroger shopping today. My pantry & freezer are pretty empty. It just took me an hour to go thru coupons from several weeks....back to normal here.
Good Morning, yes the Mini Quack is up and moving this early
Actually, Daisy is up and has been out that is a shock lol
the kitties have been fed, my hair is washed and I have done dishes, I just did not do them last night... another shock...I hate dishes sitting
Krista and I are off to Lisa's this morning and I am not sure if will go anywhere else... After seeing her pics on FB, I sure have missed a lot...
You were up early and got lots done. I'm impressed! Have a nice visit with Lisa.
PEONIES - now that's exactly what I want. I love them. This bed is in the middle of the yard so will get sun all day. So whatever I put in there needs to be able to take lots of sun. A few peony plants would be perfect. I want something that comes up every year.
We had a whole row of peonies at the house where I grew up as well as all the bulb flowers and a lilac bush. I sure miss all those that I can't grow down here.

That is very good news. I'm sure you worry about her since you're not right there all the time.

Again, so sorry for Marylou and Bill. I will keep all of them in my prayers still for peace and comfort and healing if it be His will for them. Whatever trial we are given is meant for our growth and experience. He's always there to help us along the way.
I'm glad to hear that Randy is finally getting in to see the oncologist. I hope he gets some good news as to his treatment.

Have fun shopping. Don't you just love coupons. I do when I can get them. My DD here buys 3 Sunday newspapers every week so she can get the coupons out of them. She's really dedicated.
good morning... another beautiful day in central farm country!
I hope everyone is doing good today....
had two meeting last night for the "Berry Fest" coming up in June... Church meeting tonight... I need to get my memorial accounting done for that...actually it is done, I just need to get it typed up so much easier to read that way for everyone.
I stayed up until 1 finsihing Sonoma Rose. It was really good if anyone enjoys Americana history. It took place in 1921-1933 & was so interesting. Not really a quilt book, they may have said the word quilt 6 times but it held my attention!

Dody thanks, yes it seems to be a full time element of darkness... but I am trying to still smile and enjoy life the best I can... Some days it really is not too easy... and then some days it is ok... those are usually the days my family and friends are all around me ...
ASUS... got it at best buy when we were in Florida.
Randy is planning on using it when he gets in the field this spring.... but right now I've got control of it... LOL....I love the kindle in it... I've only downloaded free books... going to the library to see if I can book through them.
I went down to do the technique challenge three times yesterday, getting side-tracked both times by the stamp sets I pulled out to use. They ended up used. The technique, however, didn't. LOL Yeah, I'm thinkin' Cody isn't the only one with ADHD
But here are the first two "non-technique challenge" creations
Krista, I was able to open the baby cards but not comment. Silly SCS just kept processing LOL. Great cards. I'll try to check out your blog again later in the week. Bob's on his way home so not much computer time in my future
It's back to being a little chilly here this morning. Down to 56. And somewhat rainy.
Chilly here today, too. The rain finally moved in from the west but it comes in spurts. Just gloomy and overcast. Though as I was walking around in the yard at the cusp of sunrise this morning, there was a storm brewing to the West and I caught this picture.
I actually saw the sun rise this morning, it was so pretty ...had a beautiful red color as it was rising...
I hope I can start getting up a bit earlier now, I miss sitting outside with my tea and starting my day that way...
I agree, Soni. Such a peaceful time of the day to reflect. I used to start my mornings out like that... before the girls moved back home. Now I get up, make coffee and start right to work regardless of what time I start the day. Trying to break that habit. Especially with nice weather when I can sit outside away from everything for a bit.
yes...we've had some high counts...like Maple, Oak, an Mulberry.
I saw on the news last night where that is what we're dealing with right now... only in about the 900 range. I'm waiting for the spore count to rise... then I'm going mushrooming!
Love my Kindle, Debbie. Know I'm coming late to the conversation but if I can help with anything, let me know. I have the Kindle keyboard... not the Fire
I've deleted things from my kindle, Debbie. For mine, I have to plug it into my laptop and read the files on the drive, deleting them as I would off of a flash drive.

Has anyone tried to call Karen? Not like her to not at least pop in and say good morning. I will give Lois a call. They've been pounded with the rain the last couple of days.
Bob should be through St. Louis by now and only a couple hours from home. And here I sit. Haven't done a darn thing. lol Just been one of those days.

I don't know that one. The Fire has a tablet in it too. I have downloaded books from my library & they just disapear after my 3 weeks are over.
Kel, your sunrise is so pretty!! I took some pictures yesterday but need to find a cord to dowload to my laptop. My desktop is packed up and that's what I always put my pic on.

That is a gorgeous shot! But you know what they say about "red in the morning"? Sailors take warning!
