Default Please be careful out there - road rage story

This morning another driver almost hit me when he decided to change lanes. I slammed on my breaks and hit my horn to let him know I'm there. He stops his big yellow truck right in front of me and gets out and starts yelling at me and flippin me the bird! When he starts to approach my car, drivers around me all start hitting their horns as he's completely stopped traffic. As I'm reaching for my phone, he jumps into his truck and, of course, speeds away.

It's the holidays and people are under a lot of stress and there are, unfortunately, too many people out of control on the roads. So please be careful, this can happen to anyone anywhere, even here in the "Aloha State".

I think I need some retail therapy now!

That man obviously needs a cookie. Or a Xanax. Or both.

Glad that you're OK!

efromhawaii, I don't know where about in Hawaii you are but I do know that driving in Honolulu is the PITS.

I lived on Hickam Air Force Base for 3 years and that area is one of the worst places to drive I have ever lived, besides the suburbs outside of Chicago. I have not been to the burbs in years, thank goodness!

Glad you are OK! Be well and safe driving.

Mahalo much for the well wishes. If I learned anything from this - it is just not worth it - if people want to cut in my lane, tail gate, whatever... they can. They have a bumper sticker here which says "Live Aloha" and I'm gonna get me one.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I honked at a parked guy in the car line at the Jr. High school here in Oregon. You're not suppose to park in the car line, drop and go....The guy went insane...raced around traffic to cut me off, screaming, bird, screeched out into traffic on the main road and almost caused a collision. After that the school posted a police officer directing traffic for the car line impaired.

Funny thing, this was the first time I dare to honk at anyone. Ugh!

Have you ever been to New York where all the drivers honk all the time at nothing at all? I don't get that!
