Default NSR: Flying with children

We're going to be taking a trip this summer (Aug) and will be flying. My son will be almost 2 1/2. What is the age that we have to buy him a ticket? Any suggestions?

I think now with certain airlines, you have to buy a seat for them that early. They will have you bring a child seat with you. You need to contact the airline you will be flying with to determine if you need to purchase a seat or not.

Playing "Devil's advocate" here. But you child would be safer in his own seat, buckled in his carseat.Even if the airlines will let him fly free ,consider that when you book your flight. Have a safe trip!

When we flew with Jet Blue last April, our DD was only a little over 1 1/2. We did not have to pay for her, however my DS 4 at the time needed a ticket. I would check with the airline to make sure.
