Hey Holly, 1 more post and your rank will change to Insane Embellisher!
Then at 1000 post it becomes Crimping Master!
Laurie is approaching 10,000 to become STAZON SPILTCOAST
there's nothing between that and...
20,000 you can pick your own!
YEA... although I have no clue what I'd pick.
Hello everyone! I am so tired and VERY crabby! I promise I will catch up to all the posts later but my feet are aching and I think bed is calling! I had to get up at 5am for a meeting today and didn't get home till 730...no lunch..and a huge headache! All will be fine by the morning and some sleep. I get more tired from sitting and listening to someone talk all day then by doing physical work and being up and about!
Quick note...Vickki...I accepted your "be a friend" from splitcoast..but I don't know what that means...but I'm excited to find out! I'll chat more after I get some food and sleep!

Karen, I dislike days like that...and for sure your day would have been a migraine trigger for me. I hope you rest well, and tomorrow will hopefully be a better day for you! HUGS! (I am big on hugs....)
Vikki, glad your truck is running, and I think a visit from your sister just might be a really good idea. Is your Mom feeling better???

Oh Karen what day! Uff da!
Not a clue what it means to be a friend on hee, but its there! LOL
I should go find out!
Laurie, this truck is a night mare, but in much better shape than my car. It burns oil, and only gets 18 mpg. BUT it has brakes! and when I turn the key it starts! LOL
I seem to be fighting off some sort of allergy/sinus thing. I think so far I am winning though! Hope so!
Happy Wednesday. Not much going on at work today. Tax returns are coming in at a snail's pace, and I don't get that. Oh well! Thankfully tax season is almost over! I am going to celebrate when we are done...well, with tax season and end of first quarter! Yeah!!!

Oh now that's just nasty! Glad I live in the woods and drive through so many mud puddles! LOL
Yes, I work Thurs, Fri and Sat. But my sister Teresa is getting a ride over here to MN so I can take her to our moms today. I might be able to use Rayes computer at night, but I won't hold my breathe.
Love the avatar Holly! And you are now an Insane Embellisher! YEA! funny those names they came up with.
Just wait to be Gabfest Goddess! like me! (I typed GAS FEST) oops
had a busy couple of days here. the good thing is we had early morning T-storms that knocked out alot of the pollen! woohoo......so i finally cleaned the inside of my truck, it'll make DH happy ha ha......
what are everyone's plans for the weekend?
Dh b-day is Sunday. we're going out with friends tom night to a farm that has a family style restuaraunt with yummy homemade foods. and Sunday we will grill out at home.
i bumped into his mother at the store today and she was actually nice to me, so must be a full moon somewhere BWAHA HA
and my folks were actaully both in good moods today while runnign them on their errands too, so yeah, must be something in the air

Holly...maybe it's the pollen! Just kidding! I never got along with ex-MIL. Glad she was nice to you though!
This weekend...work tomorrow and then home to do more packing and moving of boxes. Furniture goes April 24th. Sunday...work 9-3, and then we are going to the Milwaukee Admirals game (hockey) at 5. I am really looking forward to that!
have fun at the game and good luck on the moving, i know you will be glad when it is over and not see another box for a long time! you never know how much you own til you have to move it huh?!

You got that right girl! I know it sounds like I am constantly packing and moving...it's really not that bad. I do have a good size donation for Goodwill again though. I am getting rid of a bunch of clothes again (not moving them again...haven't worn them in AGES), and kitchen "stuff"...I have a ton of it! I love all my Pampered Chef stuff though. I can't part with any of that...except the Easy Decorator...anyone want it? Never used! Anyways....it's good to purge that stuff! Christmas decorations is the other thing I have just TONS of.
I love going to the hockey games. I am actually considering buying a season package for next year. This Sunday is the final home game for regular season. They made the playoffs, but I haven't gone to look at tickets for that. It's way cheaper than football (not like you can get a Packers ticket anyways), baseball, or basketball!
Holly, do you make a bday card for DH or buy one? Just curious. I always made Tom a card.
Hello everyone! Sorry I've been not here a bit...work has become very busy. I am SOOOO looking forward to Sunday. I have NO PLANS but to stamp!
So we know none of us are copics fans here...how about SU? I've been reading the forums here about how everyone is reacting to the color change at SU. I own a LOT of Su products. That's what first got me hooked on stamping. I'm not upset about them changing colors...some of the colors I have I have never used. Besides, I have enough paper to last me till the end of time. I'm going to try and read and catch up on my computer time. How's everyone else doing?

Hi Karen, I do own all of the colors that are leaving, and a few of them I will REALLY miss (creamy caramel and Handsome Hunter for sure!!!). I think we will be just fine though once the shock wears off! Seriously, it's a huge change, but they need to keep up with the changing trends as well...I just think smaller steps would have been nice, but there it is!
I am working today, but I have off tomorrow. I want to stamp, but we shall see how the day goes.
Holly...the resturant sounds soooo yummy! I'd like to join you guys!
Laurie..I am going to miss creamy caramel also...actually I love that color so much I painted my den room that color!

I bet that restaurant makes awesome muffins. I love muffins. Have you all ever eaten at a Perkins Restaurant? Their Raspberry Sour Cream muffins are the bomb! LOVE 'em!
We have nice weather today. Upper 50's and partly sunny! I just love spring!
Ok...gotta get going. We have a funeral this afternoon before the hockey game. The father of a friend of Tom's passed. It was expected, but still...feel for the family.
Rasberry sour cream muffins...mmmmm...sound wonderful! I spent the afternoon making cards. I did some embossing today-it's been a long time since I used that technique. It was fun. Hopefully, I'll post the cards I made tomorrow. It's a beautiful day here today. Hope everyone is ejoying their Sunday!

Hi!
I have not caught up at all, later.
I am beat, but still have so much to do.
I left for the cities last Wednesday, worked Thur, Fri and Sat.
My dd flew in form MO and I got to visit with her for an hour or so.
Found out my step dad (kinda) died
Him and my mom lived together from 1979 - 2001
I drove over there on Sat to talk to his neighbor and get some details.
I guess he passed away June 6th. OMG!
He told me if there was anything in the house or garage I wanted I could help myself
SO I found lots of pics. and old linens from his mom. There are no other family members at all.. how sad!
I got 2 really nice chairs.and I might go back tomorrow to get the book cases.
Anyhow.. there was a ton of little things I gathered up, he was big into wood working. So I am cleaning all that stuff and rearranging my house to fit things.
Taking a a break and just wanted to let everyone know I am alive! LOL
My mother is all moved, the other apartment is clean and empty!!
I think I need to think about supper, I skipped all meals today, I think I am hungry! LOL
Oh wow Vikki...I'm sorry no one let you know until now about his passing. That is just nuts!!!
The Milwaukee Admirals lost, but they are still in the playoffs, so Tom and I are going to the game Saturday night! We had so much fun last night! It was fan appreciation night, and although we didn't win any prizes, the atmosphere was great! It was just a much needed good time!
Vikki, i too am sorry to hear about your step-dad, and not knowing sooner, that must have been a hard shocker.
Karen, i LOVE SU markers and CTMH markers, which they are very similar to each other!
Laurie, sounds like the game was a good one
now, the resuraunt was yummy, i wish you all lived close enough that we could plan a meet & eat!
heres how they do it, it opens at 430 and you pay as you go in, $13.99 for adults, then they seat you and take your drink order. when they bring those (coffee tea or pop) they bring country ham biscuits and plain bisuits. then in a few mins they roll out a cart with dishes of hot food and place them on the table and as you need more of somthing they refill!
heres what they serve: fried chicken, mashed taters, corn, green beans, home baked mac-n-chees, pork loin, gravy, and more bisuits. THEN they take your order for dessert ( several choices) which is also all you can eat! we ate like crazy!!!

The purse sounds awesome Holly. I had dinner with my friend Jackie on Friday night, and she had a purse made out of pieces of fabric cut with the Big Shot....oh it was SO cute!!! I just know yours is gonna turn out just as awesome!
Laurie...I'm so sorry. Somehow when I was reading back to the posts I missed, I somehow missed your post about your step dad until I went back to review...I am sorry about your Step dad. That must be tough to find out in the way you did. God bless you and your family.
Holly thanks for the link. I went and looked at the farm..boy ... I would LOVE to have something like that around. It seems they really tell the histroy of the farm throughout the ages. Plus...GOOD FOOD! lol!
Today..well tonight...was a really nice moment in my life. I took my DD shopping for her prom dress. OMGosh...omgosh....she looked so beautiful. I brought my friend with me who has excellent style taste. After buying the PERFECT dress, we went shoe shopping. I guess i realized she's about to move on and out to college. She was just so pretty..and ready to take on the world! Kinda beautiful.....kinda hard .....kwim?

Karen, it's actually Vikki's step dad....My dad passed in January of 2004.
I never went to Prom, but I hear it was a good time. If you think of it, please post pics. How fun! You can't beat Mom and DD times like that! How did shoe shopping go? I am so picky!!!
Hi!
had a busy day here, was up at "O-dark-thirty" to go to a meeting with a friend ( she owes me big time cause i am NOT a morning person LOL), then ran errands...so no play time here yet....maybe after dinner!
Laurie, yep, thats the type of bag! i had a ''charm pack" of fabric which i used for the outside squares and then just had to cut the linig sqrs and batting. so far its been fun.
i ordered that sizzix die from SU this morning, so cant wait for it to come in, as i think i will like to make more of the bags.
awww...congrats Karen, i remember shopping with my mom for prom, it is a special moment! although mine was ages ago LOL.........

Someone hit me over the head. I'm sorry Vickki about your step dad ..and that I commented to Laurie instead of you. Laurie...thanks for the heads up that I commented to you instead of Vickki...and on a side note..I am sorry you lost your dad also. My dad is so much a part of my life...I can't even imagine. My Mom is pretty sick and dad has been her primary caretaker. Tomorow my son is going down to visit my Mom while my dad gets a bit of a break. I made cards today while nursing a sick stomach. I am planning on making some more tomorrow. My daughter has had my laptop today and will have it tomorrow also, finishing up a final paper for school. I told her dad I think we may need to buy her graduation gift early...which is a laptop....if this keeps up. I didn't know how much I use my laptop till I didn't have it.
Holly I give you TWO HUGE thumbs up to get up to see someone who's an early riser. Although I get up early, I am NOT someone you want to chat with until I'm up and ready to chat. If I have to get up early....I'm not ready to chat yet...
Laurie, I promise I will post pictures when the prom happens. It's still a month away. Her shoes are AWSOME!!!!!! She loves them. Katie said she'll wear them for the rest of her life...lol. The shoe shopping was almost more fun than the dress...ok...it was more fun!You had such a huge amount of stuff going on with the move, your Mom, your step dad...I hope you have had some time to just breath...big hugs to you.
Next week is vacation. I bought some more nesties to make cards next week....like maybe I didn't already have enough paper, stamps, ink, nesties, and punches, to make it through the week without a new purchase. I wonder which I love more..making cards..or going on the hunt for the new and exciting product of the week!
What is everyone else planning on doing this weekend?
