Quick pop in to let you all know I'm still kicking. Life just sucks right now and I'm not sure how much more I can take without breaking. Thank you all for being my friends.

Grace, that is a big birthday. So glad you are all going all out. She will love it!

I have a neurology appointment today. At this point I think they are a waste of everyone's time but they like to see me yearly so I go. It's always a longer wait then the appointment. And there is nothing they can do to fix anything, I swear its just for the money at this point.

Have a great day!

Sorry but I have not figure for a bunny costume! LOL
I will be working the front desk of the Grand Hinckley Inn (Huge hotel)
Black Slacks with a burgundy blouse. Thankfully It is not to be tucked in,.. chub roll would look awful!

Tell me about it! I was looking at vacation pics and my fat roll looked awful with shorts on. Short of getting a tummy tuck I won't have firm anything!

Hi Girls,

Don't know where I have been this week. I did basically nothing on Monday because it was my birthday and it got worse from there. I have caught up with everything, but it seemed to take forever. I did catch up on the mending though!
I have been off my anti depressants for ages and started taking St John's Wort about a month ago as I was feeling a bit blah. I ran out a couple of days ago and I have really noticed the difference. I ordered some online and they haven't turned up yet, so I went and bought some yesterday to tide me through. Bizarre though, if they wear off that quickly. Can't be all that.....
I got my ufo's in order this week and made a card for my cousin who had a baby boy.
I have the kids again today as Peta has an extra day's work. I have to go and meat her shortly. I need to weed the front garden and will get them to help me. I threw grass seeds on the front lawn ages ago. Some of it has come up and it growing nicely but a lot of it got washed away in all the rain we had. But, now I have it coming up all through the garden - it's been at least 6 weeks, probably longer since I put it out there! Anyway, the kids should enjoy it!
Off to get ready and get the kids.....

Well Kerriann is a good thing you can tell the difference when you're off them. It would make ya wonder if they are any good if you can't tell a difference right?

Very chilly here today... snowing again. Some one please have a talk with Mother Nature and tell her it is May, we are s'posed to start having flowers for heaven's sake!

I have orientation on Monday and Tuesday,8 hours both days. Monday I get my badge and schedule. Then I must go shoe shopping. they are particular on what you have on your feet.

Hi Girls,

Feeling good today. You are right Vikki, about feeling different when on them! Off to have breakfast with a friend. Then I need to do a bit of shopping. We have friends coming for dinner tonight and are feeding Bug's youth group dinner tomorrow night. Beef stroganoff tonight I think, and hotdogs with bacon and onion tomorrow night for about 40.

Hi girls,

We have Jordan and Jessie tonight. Hard to believe Jessie is going to be 1 next month. Don't know where the time has gone. She's almost walking on her own too.

Hope to be back and catch up soon...

Good Morning!

Our early bird, Jessie, got me up at 5:30ish, then went back to sleep... gave me time to make blueberry muffins for Jordan's breakfast. Speaking of Jordan, now she is no longer calling John & I, B-pa & B-ma, it's Grandpa & Grandma... Guess our girl is growing up!!!!!

everyone have a wonderful day!!!!

Thanks Joyce. wish I had gotten video of Jess yesterday, she was hilarious! We take the mattress off the twin bed in the guest room and put it on the floor of our room for Jordan to sleep on. Jess climbed on it and was crawling around on it, then spinning herself into a sitting position, taking off crawling, then flopping on the pillow... giggling the whole time. She was making circuits of the mattress and having a ball doing it! Those two are growing way to fast!

Afternoon ladies,

Quick pop in... allergies have been kicking my rear this week... stayed home today... took a short nap this morning... feeling better... don't know what pollen was in the air so hoping today's rain knocked it down for the count. Took Claritin and Sudafed this morning, both 24 hour, fortunately had some of each on hand since one is an anti-histamine and the other a decongestant so the pressure in my head and ears has diminished... just still exhausted. I even have a Rudolph nose!

Glad you popped in Sue, sorry to read you are having a tough time still. Didn't mean to be so long in acknowledging your post.

Everyone have a great end to your week and enjoy your weekend!!!!

Hello dear friends! I haven't been around lately, but always have check in every now and then...love keeping up with Vikki, Laurie, and Kerriann on Facebook. I just wanted to thank you all so sweetly for the cards that you sent on my Mom's passing. Even though I haven't been posting, it meant so much to me to know that you all were thinking of me. I have to say, everyone who has come to visit and offer their condolences have looked at my cards and said "Oh, this must be one of your card buddies, what beautiful cards!"
I have been finding a lot of comfort in my craft room writing thank you notes for flowers and Mass cards. I've also been making cards and finding a bit of peace in that. Thank goodness for our hobby...it does help to have something to do when things are tough! Much love to all of my buddies here!

Quick pop-in to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day - mothers of humans and pets both.

Life is improving, not by leaps and bounds, but in small steps which is good. Leaps and bounds would be difficult - unless the leap forward was because I won the lottery LOL

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday to start your week.

Hi Girls,

i hope everyone is doing well, can you believe we are half way through May already?? sheesh!

Vikki Jo, did you start work yet? do you like it? the colors of your uniform sound pretty, and i like that you dont have to tuck in your shirt.....i never liked having to do that!

Sue, big hugs to you (((HUGS))) i hope things are improving for you.

Laurie, how is work going, are you down to half-day fridays yet?

Grace, i hope you are feeling better

Joyce, how are you?

Barb, WHERE are you?! we miss you!

Kerriann, how are you? you are headed into winter now right? i always find that so weird!! we were in the 80's here, but had a "cold front" move in and are in 60's next couple of days............

we are ok here. my ankle/foot feels better than it did last weekend, but still some pain and a little swelling. i am home today so keeping it propped up.

last week was Roberts trip with his mom, an aunt and uncle to louisianna. He came home sick. he did have a fever, but i think most of it was because his mom and aunt smoke so heavily, and he is not use to that. i didnt go because i cant handle his mom on a trip, she acts like a 5 yr old hyped up on sugar! he even said he wont go anywhere with her again for quite awhile cause she wore him out so bad, LOL!

not much going on this week, 1 appt for Mom and one day of stamping for me.

i need to get inky and post something on my blog, its been awhile!!

Hi Girls,

We have a cold, wet day here today. I was planning on steak and veg for dinner tonight, but I think I will do something in the slow cooker - it is that sort of day!
Nothing exciting going on here. In fact, there is really nothing at all going on. I had a nice Mother's Day. Did nothing and stayed in my pj's.
I am off to take Rascal to the vet very shortly. He has a lump on his back. I took him last week and they tried to get some samples. One of them was a bit dodgy, so they are putting him under today to try to get some better ones. I am trying to believe that all is good and they are just being sure. Other than that I have a few jobs to do - a bit of paperwork, get the clothes dry (the rain started yesterday and is supposed to hang for a for days), go to the library, get the mail, pick up a few groceries....
I have the kids on Thursday as Peta has work at the Lutheran school down the street from me. Friday is a holiday as it is our local show day.

Morning Girls

Cool enough for ugg boots this morning......

I had the worst nights sleep last night. The night before I felt like I didn't sleep at all, and last night I kept waking up from weird, scary dreams. Browny was away, so I kept having to calm myself down and tell myself there was nothing out there......

Have not done much at all this week. I went to the library though and have read a couple of books!

Off to make Bug some lunch and wait for the kids to mess up the house.....

Wow, where is everyone? Busy doing season change activities?

We have some of our garden in, still have a bit left to do. Need to plant the asparagus roots I got and also some seeds.

Relaxed today, which really felt good and I enjoyed a quiet afternoon to myself... as much as the pets would let me. LOL..

Everyone have a great start to your week!

quick pop-in to say Happy Sunday! Been sick for last couple of days - to the point where I called in today. Wanted to stay close to my OWN bathroom. Spent most of my day between the bed and the bathroom. But around 2:00pm started to feel a little better and then my PC went down. What to do??? You are not going to believe what I did...

I got inky and created two graduation cards and using some existing card fronts that I got in some swaps about 100yrs ago, I created two birthday cards. It felt so good. I had to take the graduation cards over to show my DD to get her opinion. Nothing real fancy, used colored pencils to color the image because I wanted to soften it a bit. but just the fact that I got inky for the first time in over a year is the great part. Am trying to scan it so you can all see, but with my PC issues not sure if that will happen.

Sue, that's great to hear about getting inky, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you got the rest you needed. Can't wait to see what you created!

Good morning,
I'm around, but don't want to be the only one posting so I wait a bit between check ins

Grace, glad you had a relaxing weekend. How is the job going? Is the transition complete?

I found a desk at a yard sale fair 10$, we refinished it this weekend. It looks awesome! Now I just need to get knobs. I think I want pink or green glass. I need 11 so it won't be vintage ones. The vintage ones I wanted are at least 7$ each.

Joyce, the deal closed back on the 7th and so far everything is pretty much the same, just lots of meetings and e-mail updates that don't really say much more than we know already. It's going to be a process getting everything working together as far as people and systems. Only time will tell as to how everything will shake out.
The desk you found sounds really cool, I hope you find knobs that resemble vintage ones you want that are more reasonably priced.
So sad about all the devastation from the tornadoes in OK. Was watching on the weather channel and to see homes flattened with fatalities makes me want to cry.

Hi Girls,

I hope everyone is doing well.

Sue congrats on getting inky!

Joyce, that is an awesome deal on the desk, and i too hope you find pretty knobs at a good price. Maybe try Lowes for clear ones and stain them with alcohol inks???

had a very nice weekend here. My ankle felt better so i carefully tackled the spare bathroom and it is now primed and ready for paint......no clue what color i want yet tho, lol.................. but at least it is all ready when i do decide.....definately nothing dark again, whew!

should be a quiet week here, Mom has one appt, and, this coming Sunday if everyone is feeling better we will have a belated Mothers Day lunch.

not much else going on here, no excitement to share, lol..................

Happy Birthday Laurie!

Sorry ladies the list isn't iPad comparable that I can figure ou and I don't use the PC often so cards will be late. If anyone cares to post or send me monthly reminders I wouldn't mind. As of yesterday I have reading glasses, there is no denying my age and all the issues that come with it
