It is a cloudy day today outside. I think we had a bit of rain last night. Would be nice if we get some today. I spread some top soil and some grass seed on the front lawn yesterday afternoon. Bug helped when he got home from school.
Did the paperwork and most of the hosework. I have some more ironing to do now - the washing is finally up to date. Got the grocery shoppng done yesterday.
I have the bulk of the gardens covered in shredded paper and need to get some mulch on top before the dogs get into it any more than they have at the moment. It is starting to look good with all the mulch and the things in it - not many plants yet...... I also have started trimming the hedges. Along way to go on that as I want to bring them down about a foot. But, there will be lots more to mulch, so all is good.
Dinner tonight is beef stew with dumplings.

Sorry about the MEN
sometimes i guess I am glad mine is so zombied!
He sees the doc the 25th
I have a PT exam Wed and Thurs, 8 hours each day. to determine my abilities.
then the doc on March 15th to determine my level of disablity, then I must return to work with whatever restrictions, if boss can't use me the way I am, I have 90 days to find a job, work comp is done paying me
then based on my level of disibilty, work comp pays me off. it is $750 per percent and I guess arms are very low on the 'needed' scale
the least will be 1% HA HA
THE MOST WILL BE 50 % i THINK HE SAID
darned cap lock....sorry!
I have to sit funny to use my right arm, and if I use just my left it does whatever it wants like a defiant child! LOL
Oh, and if I have to cancel the PT appt, they charge me $2000 work comp does not pay that! Praying for no bad weather till then!

we lost our Cheyenne Tuesday
not sure exactly, thinking it may have been the train or the road grater. She chases everything. When we left for my doc appt she wouldn't come in so just the boys got locked up for the day.
Came home and there she was on the road right at the tracks crossing.
the boys go out and bark like they are calling for her...kinda sad.
Joker actually seems to be behaving better though now. No more snapping and snarling around food. and snatching food from my hand.
Him and Spike also don't devour their food like vacuums
Told Clint I do not want a 3rd dog, under no circumstances!
Still have Mia here, I have not heard from Tassa since Christmas, no clue if she is even looking for a home. i do hear from Julia (the daughter who is Mia's owner) she texts me almost daily wanting pics. Mia is so big! I tell Julia all the little antics she does, and her naughty habits I can't get her to stop. Like destroying Tassa's plants! LOL
I text Julia back in january that Mia has a shot due, she text her mom and said the she planned ot come see me...not a word form her yet.
Tommy came home the same kind of wound Louie had on his leg..nasty! he got loven'n and cleaning for the the dogs, then left again. He came back a few days later, got another cleaning, ate, took a nap and left again.
Wilbur has now become a very naughty boy kitty..really wish i could get him fixed, he tries to rape Spook. I spray him with the water bottle every time, now he just runs as soons as I move my chair, I toss him outside a lot too.
they can all just come right back in through the cold air returns, since the water line burst it made a huge hole in out under belly
LOL...Vikkijo.. thanks for trying... gotta love machinery eats envelopes and then spits them out much later!
Just got up about an hour ago... those little dolls wore me out! Jess is cutting teeth so gets really cranky at times and yells. Also, Jordan has now started crying and screaming in the car anytime Jess does so it gets a little loud!
May see if I can get inky today... finally got my kitchen clean yesterday and will get laundry caught up while I'm trying to be creative... wish me luck!
TTYL!!!

Woke up to a rainy morning. According to the weather it is supposed to be like this or most of the week. It is lovely and cool and great for the grass seed that I have put down.
We had a day in the yard on the weekend. Took some stuff to the dump and had a general tidy up. Browny fixed my 'thing' that catches the washing machine water and punps out to a sprinkler, so that is great. I started trimming the hedge at the back in a major way on Friday. It is now about 3/4's done. The cutoffs are all cut into smaller pieces and in a neat pile so that I can mulch them. Will probably stay away from it today though. I have sore arms and just need a break from the garden.
I have an enormous list of things to do this week. Today will be paperwork, ironing and vacuming I think. My oven needs cleaning and I really need to scrub all the kithen doors. They are wood with an indent in them and get stuff stuck to them.
Rascal is of to the vet for an immunisation. Browny is home and is going to take him. He also wants to get some blood work done to make sure he is ok. He is almost 9 and he wants to make sure he is ok.

Rain again today. Let's hope it doesn't wash away my top soil and grass seeds.
Yesterday I ironed and did the book work. We had crumbed steak and vegies for dinner. Todau I need to vacumn, clean the oven and the kitchen doors and make a couple of baby cards. Dinner tonight is beef stroganoff.
Browny is not working at the moment, basically because of all the wet weather we have had and are still having - driving me nuts.....

our incoming mail has been very slow for a long time now, and, come Aug, they will not be open on Sat.....not that that makes any diff here, will just mean everything will be backed up even worse..........and they keep raising postage
gas is also rising yet again, went up 6c in just about an hr the other day.....no excuse for that either in my opinion!
milk and fresh fruit seem to be on the rise here as well .........fresh veg, chicken, pop, coffee not so bad

the washing water to a sprinkler sounds very cool! details please!
the sprinkler idea sounds very cool!
i read somewhere about having your washer drain into an underground tank, then putting an old fashion pump to the tank for watering the garden and lawn etc etc. you have to be careful of soap types you use tho for food safety........i think they called it grey water something or other.
cool idea, would sure save on water bills!!

OK. Basically the water from the washing machine goes into a wheelie bin. This is what we call a garbage bin, I suppose. There is a submersable pump in it and when the water reaches a certain height it pumps the water out. There is a heavy duty hose attached to it and the other end of the hose is a sprinkler. As long as I use washing powder that is 'friendly', I just mve the sprinkler around as normal, but use waster water. Photos included)

My Nana, who is 95, fell and broke her pelvis yeseterday. She 'lost the plot' a little while ago and is being a trial to my Dad (he is the eldest). I am really hoping that this might be the beginning of the end. Sounds awful, but she isn't with it and is cranky and horrid pretty much all of the time.
Today I don't have a lot to do. A bit of ironing, mend some of Browny's work shirts and a quick trip to the shops to get some things on special today. Dinner tonight is pork ribs in char sui sauce and fried rice. I need to make soe cards today, so will post pictures when I do.
Tomorrow I am having a new cat flap fitted. Very exciting, I know. Ther is one in the door going to the outside area, but she won't use that. About a year ago she wrecked the screen in one of the front windows and has been using that as her door. Decided that I would fix the screen and get her a real door put in - finally. She will probably be very cranky for a while with it all, but y ou get that. Browny asked for one of those cool ones where a thing on her collar opens it. Not sure how that goes, but we shall see.
Browny is off to work this afternoon. He is driving me insane, so I really can't wait to see him go. I went off the other day at him - if he was sick go to the doctor, if he was tired have a slleo and if it was sh.t ont he liver then get over it. He has been behaving like a sulky teenager ever since - which is marginally better than how he had been. Anyways, if you hear of a murder in Queensland think of me.

Snowing like crazy here at the moment... supposed to get 1-3 inches before it's all said & done with this storm... first one in which the forecast was fairly accurate... had a not so fun drive home... not more than 40 mph at any time, more like 25 - 35... hoping for a snow-day from work tomorrow... brought stuff I can work on from home if needed and if not, can take back in with me to do there.
Laurie, sending you hugs and prayers... I know this is a really difficult time for you right now. Wish I was there to give you one in person!
Vikkijo, if it wouldn't hurt your shoulder, I would give you a hug in person too, 'cause girl, you have been through the wringer lately.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Still seeking my motivation to create again... just haven't had a desire to get in the craft room...
TTYL!!!!

Grace. How are those grand babies? And your daughter?
Hi Joyce. The girls are doing great, growing up so fast! Tomorow is Jordan's 2nd birthday. Jess is crawling and pulling herself up on furniture, in fact, she just turned 8 months last Friday. I'm sure she'll be walking soon. Jodi's doing well and just said tonight it's hard to believe that Jordan is already 2! The attached pics are of the girls sitting in Jodi's doll cradle. It was hilarious!

Well ladies I have come to the conclusion the 2013 SUCKS BUTT
Clint is on SSI Disability, when we got married in 2010 I sent them the Marriage Certificate, and a copy of one of his statements from them saying how much he got and and all that blah blah blah. cuz his case manager said getting married would change his Benefits
They sent the marriage certificate back, then a month later he get s the next statement with no change in amounts..okay cool
Yesterday he gets a call form a new guy, updating files.
Well seems that the first person never put it in that we got married, and now we owe them money..
Grrrrr
Yes, there is seriously something in the air or water that men are consuming..OMG
Yesterday I needed to move around a bit, Iget so bored sitting here. SO i decided I'd change thing a bit in my room here. I want to raise the stereo cabinet up (its an old phono graph with 8 track, and yes it really works) I use it for my Cricut and Bigshot, but it's like crotch height. I want to put a block under it and bring it up 12"
Clint came in to help, and he just stood there looking at me, like he got lost.
I found a board, it was a part of the old desk, huge bugger! then I wanted a cement block maybe under it, he was so zombified that I just gave up .
I did sweep behind it and scrubbed the floor, it hasn't been moved since I took over the living room as mine.
Well I ended up doing the whole floor on my hands and knees, great exercise for my arm, till I slipped in the wet spot,OMG that hurt the Hell!
Smelled a bit like a hospital in here the rest of the day. that actually took me all day. I had to keep taking breaks for my arm, then I'd have to change water. HE did toss the water water for me and get new each time, but other than that he just watched me.
You know its like he has something to say, but just doesn't. He just stands here looking at me, I had to tell him several times to sit, he was in the way.
Kerriann too cool on the washer water deal...I am so gonna figure out how to do that!
Kitty flap...yeah I'd have to have on that the collar activated to open, or I'd have all kinds of critters in here!
Oh my could you imagine!?!?! LOL
I would love one for the dogs too, but if it's big enough for Spike to fit, so could a young bear. Just what I'd need!
I could just see getting up in the morning to a little bear snoozing with he dogs on the rug! LOL

Vikkjo, it must be something about the year... not going so good for us in certain areas either. Sorry to hear about the person not putting in the information like it was supposed to be. UGH!
Don't have John underfoot this morning... he's working so I am actually getting some cleaning and straightening done... even dishes and laundry!
Kerriann, sure could have used the water recycling from the washer last summer for the garden... would have saved lots on the water bills!

Grace are you on Pinterest?
i saw a similar water deal for the garden except..
It is a rubber garbage container with faucet shoved in the bottom edge, for a a hose, and it catches rain water.
No pump, I think it was up on a pallett, I tried to repin it, but it comes up with a virus warning, so i liked it and it just sits in my likes folder. LOL
I keep a 50 gallon drum on the corner for rain water, till I learned that is a great place for mosquito's to breed! LOL
I think ll grey water (everything but the toilet) could go like Kerriann's got
Vikkijo, no I'm not. I'm not online much at all anymore. Haven't even made a card in over a month... my blog is terribly neglected, in fact about the only site I visit regularly is this one, so other than checking my e-mail and paying bills online, which is not a fun thing my laptop is off most of the time...
Got Jordan a princess bicylce for her birthday... it even has a carriage basket that is removable. going to pick it up from toys-r-us in a couple of hours before going to her b-day party... hard to believe she's 2 today! Here's the link to the bike... She loves the Disney show Sophia the first so it seems fitting and fortunately it's big enough so she can ride it more than a year.
