Kerriann, the scrapbook pages are awesome! I read the first book in the Fifty Shades series. I haven't had the cash to get books two & three. I don't have an Ipad or anything like that. So, maybe I will never get a chance to read the other two. I guess I will have to see what comes along.

We had a nice weekend. I had two cookouts yesterday, and both were very nice. I took Tim along to both, and he was very well received! Yea!

Hot and sticky weather here today. Thank God for air conditioning.

Supper tonight is leftover brats/burgers/sweet corn from yesterday. YUM!

Kerriann,
the pages are beautiful! and i do not blame you one bit for putting that girl in her place! my gosh, you do twice the work with the papers, you email AND send hardcopies, what more does she want? maybe next time you should say something to her like " well, i am sorry that emailing them AND sending hard copies isnt enough for you, shall i come into the office and do them up for you as well"?!!! some people!!!

you were not petty at all!!

sooo...thats what todays errands were, getting them all paid, plus a groceries run. i also spent a lil time in Michaels, bought a punch,a die and a package of the cutest lil metal "antique" keys. i hit Starbucks for a latte too, a "salted caramel mocha", pretty good!

then i came home and got the groceries put up and then striped the bedlinens and am now getting the laundry done.

tomorrow is back to painting at Moms. dinner will be something in the crock.

dinner tonite is sandwhiches, easy peasy

Morning Girls.

I was up early again this morning. Someone suggested it might have something to do with the full moon around. I think it is because it is lighter earlier.

I had lots of fun at my design class yesterday. I have the colours for the walls picked. I hate my kitchen with a passion, but it is still in good condition - it's 25 years old and won't wear out. I have found out that there is a place that uses the benches that are there and 'coats' them with a granite sort of stuff. I can get new doors made by Laminex and presto - a new kitchen. I will do the same in the bathrooms. I have found a tile tht I like and am going to get a few of them in the next few days so that I can put it all together. We are going to put bamboo flooring in the whole house except for the bathrooms and the laundry.

Bug has a short day today at school. I don't get much done on these days - except things like ironing.

Back later..

Hi everyone!
Work has been kind of low key lately, and we are all enjoying that! Whew!

Nothing much new is going on.

I have planned out my fall decorations. I am just waiting for the local farmer I like to buy from to have his pumpkins and corn stalks ready. Then I have a few things I put out as well.

I am looking for a good recipe for breakfast bars. Preferably something that is somewhat healthy.

well, today marks 2 yrs of losing Dad, hard to believe! i took Mom some mums and lunch and we chatted before i got back to the painting.

there was so much left after i finished the hall that i offered to paint her bedroom as well, LOL...........i figure since we have the time and i am on a roll i would go ahead and knock it out! besides, no need for a can of paint to go to waste

i have about a third of it done already. next i may do the laundry room and then that will be it....the spare bedrooms can either wait or stay as is!

i hope to get inky this weekend....we shall see if i have any mo-jo

Morning Girls

We had a nice weekend. Saturday I watched TV and did some washing. We got pizza for dinner. Yesterday we took the XR8 out for a drive. There was an open day at a new 'factory' where one of the V8 teams that the boys follow is. The V8's are similar to your nascar's. I would rather have poked my eyes out with a stick while we were there but the boys enjoyed it. We then went for a drive and had lunch at a yuppy place that was a little brewery and a cheese making place. Then, lamb chops & vegies for dinner.

Today I need to do some housework and some paperwork - after I go to the gym.

Hi everyone!

Holly, thank you for posting the recipe! They sound yummy!

Spaghetti for supper tonight. I'm in the mood for some Italian, and it's quick and easy! I baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies this morning. I plan on giving the maintenance guys here at the apartment a dozen. They have done a lot for me since I moved in. I will give them a nice platter of cookies at Christmas time too. I know they appreciate it!

Chey has been restless at night lately. I know she is really enjoying the cooler weather we have been having, and quite honestly, so have I! So glad to have the air conditioner off.

Vikki, how are you? I know you are lurking. I haven't seen you much on Facebook either lately...and that worries me.

Kerriann, I would have been happy with the boys. I enjoy Nascar a lot!

Laurie, I enjoy watching it, but looking at dozens of open engines at the 'show and shine' and then having a tour of the new factory where they make the car and all its bits just bored me to tears. A car is a car is a car - is what I think....

I have caught up on lots of paperwork today. Everything is up to date except for the filing. Bug only has to go to school when he has an exam at the moment, so I had time to drop him at school, pick up the mail, go to the gym, come home, have a shower and go back to school this morning. And that will be tomorrow as well. Mitch is taking him on Wednesday at lunch time as I will be out. He then has Thursday, Friday and Monday off, goes to school on Tuesday and then school camp until Friday.

I am off to get dinner ready and then sit down to watch Bold and a few other things before I need to cook it.

Physical Therapy once a week, I am now up to 4lbs

I have to do 50 reps without any pain before I can move on to 5 lbs

1 is simple arm curls, that is so easy!
the 1 where I have to turn my arm to the right ( like sitting nex tot someone and touching their belly with the back of your hand)

Enough venting,,,

How is everyone? I miss you all tons!
I can do about 5!

I can't lift my arm up from my side straight up. I can get about chest high.
washing my hair is like getting beat on! It takes me forever, I have to take breaks a lot

I have been doing the washer-marathon today-the last load is in and I think it is #6. We are making sure everything is clean before being put away for the season. We are headed to a visitation and memorial service for a friend who was killed in a motorcyle accident Labor Day Weekend.

I will be back tomorrow morning to chat before heading to the stamp room to get caught up!

HI Girls,

we have a very special tiny house guest! Robert found him when he was at his workshop over at his moms, he was all alone in the middle of the yrd in the daytime! Robert was gonna bring him home right away but we worried maybe momma was still around. well we found out the nieghbors have been setting cat cages and having the pound pick them up! so, 2 days later there he still was alone and no signs of any others, so i grabbed him up and brought him home, ............... he was up every 3hrs last nite, he can cry VERy loud when he wants too, lol.
he is very tiny, his head is the size of a walnut! i sure hope he makes it. i have been feeding him special kitten formula from an eyedropper, and keeping him warm in his little nest..........we shall see!

i have named him Hairy Potter, ha ha ha.....

Oh Holly! He is SO cute! The kitten formula is really good stuff. We had to give our Midnight that too for a few months. He got dropped off at the Humane Society too early. He shouldn't have been away from his mama yet. What a sweet lil baby! Do you intend to keep him?

I have some errands to do tomorrow (car payment, grocery store for eggs, and farmers market). Then I want to try to make apple jelly. We shall see how that goes. I have strawberry down to a science. I also hope to get at least one butternut squash. I was SO excited to see them two weeks ago!

Not much is going on. It was a pretty busy week at work. Our part time girl quit with no notice. I am less than impressed at her lack of professionalism. Oh well. Guess that is her problem. Now we need to find someone and train her/him before year end. Whew!

Hope everyone is doing well. My left eye is giving me issues. Allergies have it very upset and irritated. I've been trying to rest it as much as possible.

Hi Dawn. Diabetes is sucky...

I feel like I havn't had time to breathe during the last week. The little girl across the road was taken to hospital last Wednesday with vomiting. We ended up looking after their 11 year old as Mum was in hospital with her (she is 18 months old) and Dad had come down with the vomiting. She is still there so I have been doing extra meals etc.
Bug had exams so I was running him to and from school at stupid times because he only had to be there for exams.
Now we have Annabelle and Fynlay because Des has the flu real bad and was told to stay away from the kids. Peta just called - Des has the first case on influenza B in their town this year. Weired...
Bug goes away to camp tomorrow, which will give me a break, but I'm not sure how long the kids will be here for.
We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and another one two weeks later. The weekend in the middle is our anniversary. Not sure what we are doing as we will have the kids and it is a long weekend.
anyways, Annabelle is harassing me so I had better go..

HI Girls,

well, today is day 7 w Hairy, and he seems to be doing very well.....he has even begun purring!! he loves to snuggle.

when we first found him, we were strictly in rescue mode, so unsure he would even survive, but there is no doubt that he has us wrapped around his tiny little paws,LOL

we are very concerned for our troops, with all this mess going on, we just Pray for their safety.

Dawn...holy WOW is that scary! I hope they can figure it all out and quick! Please keep us posted!

Holly, I've been praying a lot for our military and all that are overseas. It is SO scary! I just worry...a lot!

I am so glad Hairy is doing well! They can be such a joy to have around! YEAH for fostering!

Not much is new here. I had a busy weekend. We went to the Farmers Market, and picked up some butternut squash, cantaloupe, apples, pears and crazy corn (regular popcorn, cheese corn, and caramel corn!!). I used the apples and pears to make freezer jam. It turned out VERY yummy! Cantaloupe are getting to the end of the season. I also made from scratch some chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. Tim really likes them! Mom always frosted chocolate cakes with peanut butter frosting.

Speaking of Mom...she cracks me up! Her 60th birthday is coming up on the 28th. She tells me...I would like friendship bread, chocolate chip cookies, and an orange jello poke cake. I only turn 60 once! Then she was laughing. So! I will be busy baking toward then end of next week. I am hoping to take the day off to have lunch with her and take her up to Holy Hill to see the fall colors.

https://www.holyhill.com/ (just in case you were interested in seeing it...it's SO pretty up there!).

I am stamping with Barb and a couple of other friends on Friday afternoon. I am SO excited about this! It's been forever since we have had a get together, and I can't wait!

wow Laurie, busy times and someone to tag along?

well Brian's sugars were normal this morning so they decided to have him use his pump because al the info in it said he was doing the right things and the math worked out. while on the pump his sugars went up 3 times in a row so they took it off tonight and are giving shots. so one of 2 things, either the pump is haywire or the adjustments on wens. were incorrect. the diabeates educator will be getting info from his regular doctor (nurse) tomorrow and we shall go from there. he won't have labs tonight or any vitals or sugars after midnight so hopefully he'll get some sleep. he seems exhausted.

Had a trip to the vet today with Miss Cheyenne. She has an abcess on her lower lip as well as a suspicious lump on her neck that has been biopsied. Results probably won't be back til Friday, and you all know how much patience I have! So anyways..here we sit and wait. Good news is that she is down to 90.6 pounds!

Dawn, I hope your brother is ok. Please keep us posted.

Laurie, I hope Chey's results will be good.

Brian's pump was working properly and they now think he has a heart problem. he will be having that test tomorrow.

Hairy's eyes are open and he's eating a tiny bit more, thank goodness. i called the vet to see when he needs a first visit, they said 6-7 wks.

it's been a very long time since we had a furbaby , and there is no doubt that Hairy is meant to stay! Robert does not want him declawed and i def agree, but he will be fixed......or she, should i um, be wrong, LOL...........

anyways, dinner tonite is meatballs with cream sauce(think "alfredo"), mashed taters for Robert, noodles for me.

Holly, I am definitely ready for fall. Bring it all on. I can't wait to decorate my porch, and then I will have to post a pic for you all to see. I do fall...not Halloween...because then it can stay up til Thanksgiving!

I need to chat with Dr. Eli yet, but from the message he left me about an hour ago, I am pretty sure it is NOT cancer. He had some big long name for it. He wants to look at it again after we are done with the antibiotic. So, that is what we will do.

Hi Girls

I am exhausted.......

Annabelle and Fynlay went to daycare yesterday. I then drove about 40 minutes to where my Grandmother lives. She has been living in her own unit which is 'attached' to a rest home. She has not been well and has decided to live in the rest home. She is 89. Mum and her Sister and Brother were all at the unit getting rid of stuff. When she moved into the unit about 8 years ago most of her stuff was culled, so ther is not lots and lots of stuff from years and years. But man!
I have lots of old tins. A lot of them have stuff in them - buttons, cottons, lace, etc. I got a bunch of old sewing patterns, some old tupperware, old baking tins, old cooking stuff - think meat grinder, utensils and some old doiles and things. A lot of the stuff is for the 'old' collection in my outdoor area. The other things are just sentimental. All Peta wanted was an old melamine canisterr set that is orange and yellow. It was always in the kitchen and was the lolly jar. When she has some time we will go through the sewing/craft stuff together and share it out.

The daycare called while the kids were there yesterday as Fyn had a temperature. Des went and got him and took him to the doctore. He has tonsillitus. So, as it was only Annabelle and I last night we had take away. She wanted nuggets and chips. We then watched a Dora movie and went to bed early.

Bug gets home from camps this afternoon and will have a bunch of washing. It is one of those outdoor/bonding sort of camps. The funnist thing wa the list of things to bring. At the tops of the list was 'underpants' in capitals.....

We have a wedding tomorrow. Friends of Brownys from forever - one of their sons. It is going to be a bit 'agricultural' I think. Will post photos afterwards. I plan on drinking lots That is the only way I can get through a few hours in these people's company without slitting my wrists, speaking my mind or calling htem on their ridiculous ideas.

It is soooo quiet here this morning. Mitch has gone to work, the television os off and all I can hear is the dog with his bone out of my window. It is raining a little, which is nice. Not nice for the wedding tomorrow, but that will add to my fun. I am not being nasty. I will post a photo of the invitation and let you draw your own conclusions.

Today I need to do some housework. I wonder how much I will get done....

Hi Girls,

Well, Hairy gave us a scare and needed a visit to the Vet early yesterday morning, he has an infection in his front paw and it is very swollen, the poor lil guy! He was a bit listless yesterday, but he woke us at 4am with his usual LOUD meows, which made us feel better........tonites dose will be #4 and i pray it works very quickly

He is on Clavamox, which, for some funny reason they flavored it bubblegum! HA.....for a pet!! you would think they would do meat flavor or something...but bubblegum??!

the vet said that otherwise he looks very good, he weighs 2 1/2 ounces!

and......they also think he is a SHE!! they said when they are this tiny it is really hard rto tell, so we shall see!

weekend is going nicely, dinner tonite is our fav crockpot dish, chicken over noodles, easy peasy
