Hi girls! What's new? I got my shipment from SU of retired accessories. I don't plan on unpacking it though! I need to make a few cards in the next few days here. I have a wedding coming up in June, and the bridesmaid dresses are very close to SU's Melon Mambo. SO pretty! So, I'm thinking of a card using Melon Mambo, Silver and Basic Black. We shall see. I usually end up going to Plan B!

The geese are swimming in my rain guage! LOL

I have alow spot in the front yard, it is about 20' x 10' kinda oval shaped
it is from when they came in to push brush for the well and stuff they scarped a bit much right there
on a dry day it's not really noticable but when it rains enough it is more then ankle deep

Nothing new here

I have a gazillion pillows ont he bed so I am well cushioned. If I move the blankets or a pillow just right (or wrong in my case) I am done!

I wroter Happy Mother's day on a card for clints mom (for grama) holding the pen caused that jolt in my deltoid that I get
it leaves me miserable for a bout 20 minutes

its like having a nerve exposed in a tooth and air can make it hurt
I can blow my nose once and be fine do it again and WOW

I go for walks witht he dogs when its not raining
I could really use a sunny day this week
just one would be ok

Clint took a baby pygmy goat from up a the neighbors during some of their drama, they had kept it in a keenel in the house and it hs a bad leg
he is about the size of my beagle
he follows the dogs rigt in the house
I fed him a pop tart and it was like a coke fien, he ia so adorable

I took 2 naps last nite
10pm till 1 then 4 till 7
I get cranky laying there so I have taken up playing Castleville on Face Book
I have even gotten so bad i am using my other ppls (sisters, nephews, my kids) so I can play 10 different ones when 1 runs out of energy I go to another

How sad is that

I got a new paper trimmer from Fiskars, I did like Holly said, wrote them an eail and asked what could be done with mine since the numbers are all gone, they sent me a brand new one!

I was so thrilled
I can cut pieces small then card fronts, as long as my left and can do the work, I can't cut bases straight the paper slips a bit so I jsut don't bother

Clint has offered to cut for me, just not so sure I wanna risk wasting more on bad cutting! LOL

I can't use my big shot it is a definate 2 handed job

Oh CLint brought home a nother puppy
a Bull dog lab mix
but I swear it has weiner dog in him too
he is really supper short and LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG he run like a bull dog, feet pointed inward and chest out
he can walk under the Beagle, Joker tries to teach him to play ball with me but he gets the ball and runs away!

Vikki, let Clint try to cut just a few pieces of cardstock. It might do you both good!

When you're done with yours, can you come clean mine? Just kidding. Mine is more like a junk collection station than my craft room/office right now. I need to lock myself in and get busy... Just not enough hours in the day, let alone much motivation or mojo at the moment.

Hi everyone! It's sunny out, and that has made all the difference in the world with my mood today! WHOO HOO!!!!!!

We got a sneak peak at the new In Colors for SU. I LOVE THEM!!! And the new ribbon is so fabulous! I cannot wait to order some! I am such a ribbon-aholic!

Vikki, did you let Clint cut cardstock for you? Tom did for me after my eye surgery, and it was just fine. He did a really nice job for me.

Tossing around the idea of getting my Mom a massage for Mother's Day. I'm just not sure she will like it. I personally LOVE it. I find it so incredibly relaxing. I just don't know.

I need to buy a new sofa. I want one that is Chocolate Chip in color. I think it will look nice with the really light color carpet and my kinda beige color recliner. So...that's the scoop on shopping for me lately.

What's new with everyone?!

oh... no fair! I'm not ordering anything that is retiring. I have an order all ready for next week - it's all stamp cases, the new style - DVD case type. I have found that with some magnetic tape, spellbinder dies fit nicely and I can get 2 sets in each case.

Cute pics of the robins. My cats would be fascinated spectators at the nearest window or door if it was my house.

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day!

I am headed out in a bit to meet roomie and two friends--they are biking 30 miles and then I am meeting them to go on a hike at a state park. It is a beautiful day and will be nice to be outside, enjoying the forest with friends!

Hey everyone. It's a sunny Monday, and I wish I could be outside with Chey instead of inside my office. However, I am very grateful for the job I have! Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Good morning Girls

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day - those of you who have four legged children as well!

Well, winter is here! I have the heater on this morning for the first time. And I have my robe and socks on. I realised this morning that I need new slippers...

I had quite a nice Mother's Day. Browny cooked breakfast then he went to work. Mitch came and collected his Brother and they went to visit their Gran (their Dad's Mum). Mitch bought me a nice bottle of wine. Bug was asked to go shopping on Saturday, then threw a little tanty on Sunday because I hadn't told him what I wanted. I threw one back and told him if he didn't know me well enough by now to not worry about it! So, it looks like he hasn't worried about it - being Tuesday morning.... Might just have to stop being so helpful to him for a while, methinks.

Today I am off to craft. I had a migraine yesterday and ended up getting a shot. Probably won't be real with it today, but that is alright

Kerriann, I feel for you on the migraine, I get them myself. hope you are doing better now, without the next day worn out/drained/out of it feeling.

Hi Girls!

Mothers Day was very nice. had a ph call from Rob, he said he got very sick on the trip back over, and had to have some IV's! poor guy, we are sure it was all the changes in water, and the long flights. he said he is doing much better.

today Mom and i ran like madwomen, but got alot done.

we stopped at one of the farm markets who had alot of flowers and herbs, and i got some herb plants for the kitchen, a mint for the deck, and a spider plant! all were $3 each!

tomorrow i have to do a grocery run, and pay one more bill that i didnt do today.

we have been cloudy and drizzly, good days to stay home and stamp, and throw something in the crock for dinner

not much else going on at the moment.........

Kerriann, take a few days off from being helpful and see how it goes. Ugh!

Holly, sounds like Rob is on the mend. That had to be quite an icky feeling though! Poor guy! Glad you had a nice Mother's Day though!

Mom came over for NY Strip steaks on the grill. They turned out good. I got her a hanging basket of flowers. I was going to get her a gift cert. for a half hour massage, but I don't know that she would like it. Flowers were a safer/better bet.

Chatted with Vikki Jo today, she say Hello.

she sounded much better, we even had a good laugh!

She saw the other surgeon today and was given much better answers and info.

the first surgeon removed a piece of her collar bone! no wonder she has been in such pain and why recovery has been longer than they told her! my goodness!!

She is scheduled for surgery on June 8th, the new Dr will be removing part of her bicept tendon, i think she called it, and will look around to see how he else can help her.

Please keep a Prayer and good thoughts for her, she will pop in when she is able!

oh! and guess what????

she will be meeting precious MJ soon too!! woo hoo!!

now, you just know he is gonna go home very spoiled from all the extra lovin he's gonna get, LOL................

Hi Vikki Jo,

No that's not being selfish. I love the concept. I came from a family of negative people, so that's something I've always work on, being positive.

Leave the crud on the other side. Good policy. Doesn't mean you still can't have compassion and not listen. Just do it on the other side.

Sometimes we have to do what's best for ourselves. No one knows their limitations better than ourselves.

Have a great day. Hope this helped

I got my shipment from SU today. Boy what fun!!!!! Got to look at the new catalog. Lots of fun exciting things. Haven't had a chance to play with all the new sneak peek stamps yet. Love the new in colors!!!! Especially the green and lighter pink. All so exciting.

I'm making cards for a craft fair this weekend. All vendors have to have all hand made crafts.

It should be fun. Now if my canopy will arrive in time, that will be perfect. I'd ordered what I thought was a canopy from amazon, but discovered it was just the walls. If I had poles, I'd wing it. But the event is rain or shine. So better be prepared.

oh how familiar that sounds. My son is the same way. The only thing I got from him for Mother's Day was dirty dishes in the sink. He cooked himself a crockpot full of food and left the dirty dishes for me to take care of. So... I'm not really talking to him. I'd also asked him to do a couple of things for me on Monday and Tuesday (his days off from work) - he did nothing and didn't clean up the dishes either. Wonder if I need to remind him of how much it would cost him to live on his own compared to the cost of living with me.....

Good Morning Gals--hope your day is Terrific!

We are headed out very early Sunday morning for vacation and will not be back until Memorial Day. We are staying at a cabin on a lake--it is early in the season for us to rent a place up north, but I am so ready. The owners are letting us use their pontoon boat and they also have kayaks--hope the water is kinda warm-- Some friends are coming toward the end of next week, so there will be 8 of us over the holiday weekend. Lots of biking, hiking, playing cards/games, and enjoying time on the water.

I am taking my laptop, so I will check in when I can. There are three little stamping/scrapping stores in the area, so one day will be a road trip!

Laurie -
things are rough right now. lots of stress because there's not enough free time in my life right now to get anything done.

I am struggling with the 12hr days (with the commute) and no time to pack Mom's things, unpack my things, get the rest of my stuff from LR and do the everyday living chores around the house.

I'm trying to work on the packing/unpacking thing whenever I have a few minutes each day. This morning I actually had an extra 15 min before I left for work. Probably should have spent that time doing the dishes though - maybe tonight when I get home I can take 30 min to do them.

Gotta love on my girls some too - they get little to no cuddle time on a daily basis... and it's starting to show in their behavior. Not enough outside time for them either.

Laurie I need to PM you, I have some questions on paperwork stuff that I know you did on your own a while back.

today was stormy, which i love on occasion!

got the house cleaned up and laundry caught up, and played in the room a bit.

tomor is a day of running. next week so far is clear of appts and meetings, so, i am hoping to finally get that floor in Moms spare bathroom done, and get the yucky carpet outta there! it looks really bad next to the new carpet where it connects at the doorway, LOL....i think she will like the tile floor better anyhow, esp in a bathroom.......

then maybe we will move on to painting the livingroom and hallway.....it'll be a nice coffee cream color.......SU used to have a color close to it but dang if can remember now to compare.........

and then maybe.....just maybe i will have decided on a new color for our bath here.....maybe!

dinner tontie is sammies again

She is scheduled for surgery on June 8th, the new Dr will be removing part of her bicept tendon, i think she called it, and will look around to see how he else can help her.

Please keep a Prayer and good thoughts for her, she will pop in when she is able!

oh! and guess what????

she will be meeting precious MJ soon too!! woo hoo!!

now, you just know he is gonna go home very spoiled from all the extra lovin he's gonna get, LOL................

MJ will be here very early Sunday morning

Yes, he will remove my Bicep tendon, i assume its much like your appendix not really needed. He says I will probably lose some strength every person is different. As for the pain in my deltoid, he says he will look at it but not sure its repairable.
Both MRi's are the same and show the same damages, but now my bicep tendon is worse. It is a small tube, but now with the tear it is a flat ribbon and since PT it is now more of a frayed ribbon

Back in a few..... just got company

Hi everyone!

Grace, I'm glad the card arrived. I know it was a very "simple" card, but heartfelt all the same!

It was very warm today, and my allergies have not been playing nice with me. No hives though! Yeah!

Holly, you are one busy girl! I sure wish I could borrow you for a couple of weeks!

Not much for news here. At least nothing fun and exciting to share. Well, one fun & exciting! I did get my new SU catalog. I have only found four stamps/sets that I MUST have, and there are some new embellishments that have me ooohhing and aaahhhing. I haven't had a chance to really sit down with it yet as I just picked it up about two hours ago.

Supper tonight was a bowl of soup from my very favorite Rochester Deli in town here. Chef Dan made Crab Jambalaya. OMG!!! To die for! SO incredibly yummy! If Tom doesn't wake up soon to eat his half of the quart, it may just mysteriously evaporate or something!
