I sure can--what do you want for a theme? Friendship? Humorous cards? An old friend--using your favorite stamp set? We would do a swap where everyone sends in the number of cards as swappers, so everyone gets one of each back. Are there 6 or 7 of you that chat here?

Evening all!
Holly, I sent my sister a email...I'll let you know when she gets back to me.
Plans for this weekend are work on Saturday and craft on Sunday. Actually, I'm hoping that this cool weather continues. By cool, I mean it's only 68 degrees without the sun. That's pretty good! It's wonderful not to have to run the ACs during the night!!!
What's everyone else's plans?

Wooo whoooo!

I am so excited about my new clip board! I cut my guest book pages to fit it,

Barb... 7 counting you. We need your deets girl! B'day, address. You know all that private stuff! LOL

I am so hungry, but with this heat I do not want to eat!

I do want to go in the closet and dig through my Christmas stuff for lights. I have a feeling (I have not decorated in years) that my lights are only those icicle type in blue. The blue works

I have none of that stuff here. and I am not driving 13+ miles to get DQ.

SInce I am gone 3 days a week I don't buy stuff that would spoil while I am gone, or I can't eat all up while I am home.

But now that DQ is on my mind......

I came back online to say I got happy mail from Rachel!
That card is awesome! Thank you!

Clint hides (usually on top the fridge cuz I cant' reach) my mail and only gives me one piece at a time in trade for a hug and kiss! brat!!!

ok--so think of a theme over the weekend and I can organize one next week. PM me some ideas and I will let everyone know the details.

If I get everyone's email address, I can send out the details that way. Easier than an PM to reply all!

Okay girls vote on this

Type of SWAP

1. Favorite Color

2. Favorite Stamp Set (or Cricut Cartridge)

3. Favorite Technique

4. Favorite Theme (B'day, Thanks, Get Well, ...)

5. OR A CARD USING ALL 4
example, your favorite color with your favorite stamp, using your favorite technique, using a particular theme.

I like all of these ideas except for the last one - that would mean too much thinking!

OK - I'll do favourite colour.

Still waiting for the birthday date. It is 1.51pm here at the moment and I have been studying most of the day. Am just thinking I might walk away from the computer and watch some TV. Or, I might think about what I can do for a sw p I need to do. I have to do 6 or 7 cards using my favourite colour........

Oooh Oooh, I'm really up for any of them! I think the favorite theme would be fun, unless we're all really fond of Thank You cards, that is!! LOL That way we'd get a good variety of cards!

See, trouble is, I have too many stamp sets to say that one is my favorite... I have lots of "Go To" sets for different themed cards, but then again, it's not like we can only do ONE swap, right??

Really though, I'm up for any of them! Consider me Switzerland!

Rachel, you crack me up! I have email addresses for Kerriann, Vikki, Barb, and maybe Holly...so help me out girls!

I vote for theme. I will be honest...I am in need of sympathy cards, so would probably do that.

Okay, how about each person do which ever number they desire 1-5.
It will be 7 +1 (Barb gets an extra for herself for being our hostess (being responsible for mailing and sorting is stressful) You will get 7 back, including one of your own. Unless Barb has a stronger brain than me to do that math! LOL

Barb...
Laurie... Sympathy Theme
Holly .... Fave Color & Theme Combo
Kerriann ... Fave Color ( orange or Purple?? LOL)
Rachel... Theme (r u making a thank you? LOL)
Karen....
Vikki,,,, I'll take a #5 Combo Meal... err I mean card! LOL

Once Laurie gets our No More Drama data out with Barb on it you will all have her address.
I should have found a better name for this thread so I could have an Acronym! LOL
NMD seems odd!

Barb... you give us a due date.

Holly I saw that friends are like bras on a shirt! LOL

Here's another,
There are Big Ships and Small Ships
But my favorite Ships are Friendships!

I like that one Vikki!

We have a birthday party this afternoon. I am not 100% fond of the person it's for, but a lot of my dear friends will be there, and so we are going for a little while...until the heat and humidity chase me home.

Tomorrow I need to work on a batch of cards.

Barb, when do you want them due? Swaps are SO fun! We need to allow mailing time for Kerriann.

i keep forgetting to post pics of two bday gifts i made, they whipped up so quickly! the jars are from wylers bullion cubes, just had to give them a quick boil to get the smell out and the glue off from the label!

i found pretty pens ate the dollar tree and added too

filled the jars with wrapped candies, red cinnamon for the pink and butterscotch for the yellow

Hello all and thanks for the welcome!

You can put me down for favorite color too--red/white. I might use the new Cherry Cobbler like we used at Open House yesterday--KWIM Laurie?

Barb... Favorite color--red/white
Laurie... Sympathy Theme
Holly .... Fave Color & Theme Combo
Kerriann ... Fave Color
Rachel... Theme
Karen....
Vikki...#5 Combo

Would a due date of September 15th be too far out?

I would recommend sending just 7 total--and not get one of your own back. That might save on postage and not need for one card to travel around the world--twice!

If this is something that works, we could do a quarterly swap or three times a year. Everyone can host if they want, or I can do them.

Has everyone participated in swaps in the past and knows all of the details? If not, you can look at one of the swaps I am hosting from the links in my siggy to get an idea.

Keriann--do you have US dollars to send for return postage? If not, I am sure we can work it out.

I got the list of everyone's info from Laurie and will print it out. I agree that we need a name or something like that. DLL--Dramaless Ladies?

Thanks again--

Holly, if you consistently eat at the dollar tree, I'm gonna start worrying about you girl! The items are GORGEOUS!!! I love them! You did a great job!

Barb hosts wonderful swaps...just so you know.

We did a really pretty card in SU's new Cherry Cobbler. I love that color. Our demo told us that it goes really well with Garden Green for Christmas cards. Nice!

Hi all,

Hi Barb - welcome and thanks for organising us unto a swap. The September date is fine with me. I could probably get some US dollars, but, and you can so no, why don't I just do the next one and pay for all the postage and then it will all, sort of, work out?

Where is Karen?

Holly, those gifts look great. What are the big things?

DH & DS have gone for the day on their GT club drive. DSS is still asleep as the car was full and she couldn't go. Dh was up early after his night out and put the country music channel on, opened all the doors and windows and I woke up to loud noise and cold. He is one of those people that likes fresh air, but he forgets that other people get cold - it is still winter here you know! Anyway, I am up early for a Sunday and the music is now off, as I like peace and quiet when I first get up.

Laurie, I love how you are so honest. You make me laugh

Racehl, I am a bit the same with stamp sets. I have ones I use all the time, and then there are some really nice ones that I have never used because I always just grab the easy ones. I need to rearrange how I store them I think so that I can see all of them more easily. Not sure how to do that. I think I might have to take them all of their wood and start using clear backs. How do you girls have your rooms set up?

Hello everyone! I'm here! I went back to work full time on Thursday. I have to admit, I've been coming home, having a glass of wine, and going to bed!
Barbara..welcome aboard! I'm pretty sure Laurie has my email address? If not, I will send it again. I would love to do a swap. I have honestly been thinking about the colors Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler. Maybe I can do a card with coffee......, maybe I can do a card with cherries......, maybe I can do a card with a POTATO BEETLE in it...Ugghhhhhhh! nooooooooooooo....LOL
Holly, I will be sending out to you a SU catty on Tuesday --as a RAK. My sister said you can go online at SU and order the diecut. If you'd like, you could put her as your demo. Her name is Ann Marquis. If you rather not order online, I would be happy to order it for you. Whatever is best for you. BTW, those are GORGEOUS gifts. WoW! You are a very talented lady!
Laurie, I will be sending out your re-inker also on Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding. It's been a crazy month of July--and I can honestly say I will enjoy seeing it come to a close. LOL...now I just have to remember what color you wanted!
Vicki...I LOVE your clipboard. The colors and flowers are perfect for your wedding. Also, I'd love to send you some ice cream from the place that's just about a mile down the street. They make their own ice cream and it's sooo good! I really have to drive a different way home at night just so I avoid the temptation!
Rachel, I took your card to work today, it was cool to hear everyone say "how did she do that?" Sigh...now I need to buy that stamp set! LOL.
Ok...here's a dumb thing. I'm making post-it note holders and I needed some chipboard coasters. Um...well....um....instead of ordering 20, I get a shipment with like 200!! Get ready girls, the post-its will be in the mail soon! I couldn't tell Jim. He brought the package in and said "what the hell is this?". Lol....thank god chipboard is pretty cheap!
I wrote this long post to you all and then hit the wrong button and it was gone! So I've just reposted. If you get two posts from me--skip one of the two--it's just me rambling away!
I'm heading off to bed now. Sometimes when I can't sleep I lay there and think of cards I can make..or color combos I'd like to try. Do you girls ever find yourselves daydreaming about card/project making? I'll chat more tomorrow!

oh yes, details on my project would have been good huh?! DOH..............

the largest is a covered note pad, the second largest is a teabag holder, and the little one is a mini post holder. i covered the jar lids with fabric, glued it on then glued ribbon aorund it and tyed it off. i always use wrapped candies, even though i know i have sterilized the jars, it makes the reciever feel safer ( me too when i recive one)

Good afternoon. It's nice here weather wise, but holy cow are the mosquitoes awful. They greet you as you go out the door like they just can't WAIT to get you. UGH! So, we sit in the air conditioned house...wishing it was nice enough out to open all the windows and turn on the country music. Well, I am listening to Nascar right now. That's all good too!

The kitchen is wall papered...kind of almost Crumb Cake (kraft) and white, and the bathroom is blue. Um...a dark shade of Bashful Blue...with butterflies and flowers...

Holly, I am ordering a ton the end of this month when I get my bonus. I need the new color's inkpads. i also want some of the new stamps. So I can add yours then if you'd like.
My kitchen is wallpapered...and I HATE IT! That's the last room i have to do over. The wallpaper is only about three years old so it's not in bad shape. It's like a pacific blue and creamy carmel. Small design on top, small design on bottom. It has a boarder also. My bathroom is like a sky blue that I did sponged over with a darker blue. I will never wallpaper again...only paint! i hate removing the paper when i want to change it.
Here's a picture of what I made today. I made a journal and some coaster "post-it" note holders (now, I only have 198 coasters left, lol!). I'm making them for Christmas gifts for my office. I watch "Lord of the Rings, the return of the King" while I stamped and had a delightful time!!!1 Sean just got home a vacation in the New Hampshire Mountains. So, it's our usual Sunday night pizza. I really try to stay IN on Sundays. I consider that my 'day of fun". No cooking....no running errands...just me and my stamps!

Karen, Sunday night is pizza night here too! YEAH!!! Love your projects! they are so cute! You are too funny with the coasters!

Holly, you getting ready to paint the kitchen and bathroom?

Working on a stack of cards today. YEAH! I love getting inky, and I love having time to do it!

Not much else is going on here today. I went to the laundromat SUPER early to beat the crowd. My comforters do not fit in my washing machine, so I have to take them to the laundromat. Otherwise, I've been home all day. I have a roast and carrots in the slow cooker for dinner for tomorrow night. Tom doesn't like the potatoes to be made that way, so we will make them separate.

Next weekend my Aunt Sandy will be down. I am SO excited! Hope the weather cooperates for us!

Awsome on the Pizza Laurie! We are not only stamping sisters...we are pizza sisters! I admire you--omgosh...you already have dinner prepared for tomorrow night! I am so bad ...I always try to come up with something as I'm driving home from work at 5pm. But, now that you got me thinking...I do have leftover hamburgers and hot dogs in the fridge. I can pick up the fixings for a salad or a mac salad. THERE! Tomorrow night is done for dinner..WAHHOOOOO! Thank you Laurie!
I think it's pretty funny we all described our colors by SU colors...lol. I actually did do my livingroom and dinning room(Jim likes to call it a dinning room..I call it my craft room!) in creamy carmel and Crisp Cranberry ( i think that's what it was called...it was a "in" color). I just poured myself a nice cool wine cooler. Now I'm watching "The Hunt for Red October", another one of my favorite movies! Do you guys seem to want to watch the same movies over and over again??
