they explained it by saying that Langston had taken his ex-wife away for a full recovery. so basically they are leaving the door open for the Langston character to return.

The Danson character is kind of quirky, but I love it. He's always coming up with a weird angle or thought regarding a crime - sometimes right on and sometimes not.

Good morning! Chey's vet appointment went pretty well. We are waiting to hear back on blood work, and then we can get on with life. She does need her teeth cleaned again, but I am going to wait on that until after Thanksgiving. They do sedation dentistry, so she isn't on anestesia (or however that is spelled) which is pretty much what killed my Midnight. Anyways. Overall a good appointment.

Life at home last night was nice as well.

It's goofy stuff Barb...goofy. I don't like it at all.

I didn't get any stamping done last night. I needed to, but my body told me I needed rest, so I was sound asleep by 9:20 or so. I watched OWH TV at 8:30 (Sandy does a live 1/2 hour webcast which is usually pretty cool. There is a live chat with it as well). Then pretty much went to bed!

That's awesome Barb! Thank you!

I am headed home for the day. I think I will clean the house quick before Tom gets home, and then I pretty much have the weekend to myself to do some stamping and a few quick errands. YEAH!

The dinner was nice. Then we went and got caramel apples. Rylee and Owen got their faces painted. Just little skulls on their cheek. That was really the only boy thing they had. Then we went to the bake sale and got cupcakes and (of course) brownies! I got to meet Rylee's teacher. She is sweet, and her baby is due a week from tomorrow. She is ready any time though! All in all, a nice time. Now to get inky. Masculine thank you cards have been requested, so I am gonna go surf the gallery for a bit to get inspired and get a card kit done.

Having some spearmint tea and hoping it warms me up. Thermostat SAYS it's 68 in here, but let me tell you...my hands are like ice cubes, and I have socks on. Have I ever told you all that I prefer to be barefoot year around. I dislike wearing socks and shoes, and have been known for many years to kick my shoes off under my desk at work. Anyways, my feet were cold. I have a sweatshirt on and a fleece zipper jacket over that. Tomorrow flannel sheets go on the bed for the winter. They are so cozy in the cold months! Ok, back to getting inky. I have been inspired. This kit should go quick..it's mostly using a jumbo wheel and my star punch. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Good Morning-I am heading out in about an hour. I plan to stop at Archivers on the way even though it is a bit "out" of the way. I am meeting my friends at 12:30, so I have a bit of shopping time beforehand.

Weather is to be great the next few days--that is a plus for driving.

Hope you all have a great weekend and I will check in as I can until I get home late Tuesday.

Holly, thank you for the pretty card you sent! However, I almost didn't get it. YES, our mailman strikes AGAIN! We got one envelope. Around 6pm our neighbor from the other street over brought all of the rest of our mail (including your card) over. I was SO mad. AGAIN! There has got to be a way we can get rid of this incompetent jackrabbit! UGH!

Anyways. I've had a very productive day at home, but I need to get inky. Listening to the Admirals game and stamping. Great stuff!

If I posted these already, I apologize, but I don't think so. I'm tired tonight, so will post and get to bed. Tomorrow flannel sheets go on. That was supposed to happen today, but did not.

The first card (the butterflies) is cased from here on SCS. I did change it up a bit. There is a Tangerine Tango piece under the butterflies, but I think it's hard to see in the picture.

I used a 1/4 inch circle punch to punch out the letters from Hello Blossoms and adhered with Glue Dots on the last card.

The middle card is a 100% case from a card we made in stamp club a couple of years ago. It uses my favorite stamp set Simply Said. I was sad when it retired.

The third card uses SU's Reason to Smile (also retired) in Tangerine Tango. I love the embossing folder, and if the card was not for OWH, I would have put glitter in the middle of the flowers instead of just marker. However, I still think it's really pretty even though it's really simple. I also really like the brad in the butterfly. That came from a swap card from stamp club a few years back as well.

I asked Tom what color tulips I should make, and he said purple. This is the new in color Wisteria Wonder. The main image is stamped off Wisteria Wonder (or whatever it's called), and then the 2nd step of the tulip is "full strength". The green is Wild Wasabi.

The moose card is not my favorite, but it's OK. I cut them all out while waiting for my scratches on my CRV to be fixed.

This is the raffle basket Glue Dots donated for our event, and they also donated 38 of the Dot N Go. These are 3/8 inch Glue Dots. They are awesome. I need to look again at how it works so I don't mess it up, but I love Glue Dots. I hope to get a Thank You card made for them tomorrow.

Ok, off to bed. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep. Chey won't understand. She is fine when we spring ahead, but the fall back just throws her for a loop.

Good Morning--checking in from my bedroom as I am not sure anyone else is up in the condo yet. I had a great day yesterday--stopped at Archivers on the way up (made a cute card during their free M&T, bought some sweet Christmas DP), met my friends and had a good lunch, went to a cute LSS (it was packed as everything was 10% off, one item 40% off, and they had some wonderful door prizes too--lots of sample cards to inspire--and enable! I got a couple new stamps and more DP!)

We then came back and watched the rest of the Badger game and then went to the Past-Presidents Dinner--very nice event. Came back to the condo around 9:30 and sat and chatted until midnight--glad we gained an hour of sleep!

Off to shower in a bit and head to help with registration--I am one of the four memtor coordinators for the state AD association (it is our state conference), so we are taking turns helping and being able to meet many of the new AD's. The first session is at 1:00 and goes through until about 9:30 tonight.

Hope you have a Great Sunday!

I would start keeping a list of the dates, the number of pieces of mail involved and the type of mail (first class, etc). Then when you can show the frequency and the quantity, file a complaint. Have you tried calling the post office to see what they recommend.

The postal system is having enough issues without some jackrabbit making them look incompetent too.

Sue, thanks for the compliment. No, I don't do lessons. I just make whatever comes to mind.

As far as the mailman. I have complained, and it's gotten me absolutely nowhere. Tom is going down on Wednesday (his day off) to talk to them in person. Wish I could be there for that!

its been a very nice weekend here. we spent most of the day in jammies yesterday til hunger got the best of us, LOL. we dressed and zipped out for subs and brought them home to eat. then i fell asleep on the couch watchin tv.

today i ran to wally and got a few basic items as well as stuff for the casseroles for turkey day. alot of shelves were empty already and we're not even really that close to the day! sheesh...............

no big plans so far for the week, no appts either as of yet. which will make for a nice week. Mom and i can get mroe stuff done and i will plan a day home to egt inky.

spose to be sunny agin too, i hope so...we've been a bit gloomy the past few days, and damp.

HI Girls,

I'm back.......

We had a lovely time. The weather was beautiful. We were camped on the top of a hill (almost anyway) and had a breeze the whole time.

Holly, I didn't get a tour. The girls I met with were wonderful! I was only there for about three minutes. They seemed in a hurry. Oh well! Maybe next time!

Good Morning--quick check in and off to help with registration again. I have been awake since 4:00--it will take me awhile to adjust to the time change.

Barb, Cheyenne is having a hard time adjusting to the time change too. I think she thinks she is being punished cuz I won't get up to feed her at 5am. Silly girl! I figure about a week til she gets her internal clock sorted out.

We have her on a very mild painkiller now for her arthritis as well as Rimadyl and Cosequin. Poor baby. Her hips are going downhill fast, but there is still a lot more out there that we can do for her. This is just mild, and I am seeing results with a half dose twice a day. I can give her up to 2 pills three times a day, and I am giving 1 pill twice a day at this point. Yesterday we were more active so at the 8 hour mark I gave her a half a pill, and that seemed to take the edge off for her.

I am tired today, but my throat doesn't hurt as much as it did yesterday. I can still tell it's irritated, but feels much better. I will keep drinking hot tea. That seems to be doing the trick!

I just almost hit a deer on the way into work. A really nice buck. We were very up close, and I counted 6 points on him. So...it would have been a nice one. We could use some venison in the freezer, but I would prefer a traditional kill vs. using the front of the CRV! I saw him coming across the field, and then he stopped. Traffic stopped, and I lost him behind a big semi. Then he made his move...quite fast thankfully. He was very handsome!

Morning all!
Sorry I've been MIA. I went to the Doctor's last week and he put me out of work for four more weeks!!!! I am discouraged, but I am trying to look at the bright side of things...this will be the first "day after Thanksgiving" that I will be home in about 30 years. I always worked. That is the biggest day of the year for retail. It will be nice to have that time off to visit with Katie while she's home from College.
Laurie, you should be getting your candy bars in the mail by Weds. Um...there are only 17 of them. I am pleading the 5th on what happened to the three lost bars. The bars cost 2.00 a piece, if that helps you with setting a price for them. The Old Olive colored bars are milk chocolate. The Cajun Carze ones are semi-sweet. (Apparently, I am a milk chocolate fan, since those are the ones missing three).
Sue, Sounds like you had the surgery? How are you feeling?
Holly, is it your son who is being deployed? How are you doing
Laurie, I am sure you are crazy busy getting ready for Saturday!
Vikki, I love LOVE goats! Take pictures if you can
Barb, Sounds like you never stop! I am beginning to wonder if you sleep at night or just go gang busters 24 seven!
Katie is coming home this weekend. I'm sitting up and going for walks every day. I am still dragging my left foot--I kinda look like I have the "Zombie" walk. But I say to myself, I may be slow but I am lapping anyone who is sitting on the couch!
