Good morning all! Doctor said two to four more weeks. He did a number of tests, and had me do some exercises. My left leg is weak and I need to build up the muscles. He gave me some exercises to do. Once I can stop dragging my left foot and I can "tiptoe" and walk on my heel using my left foot, he will let me go back to work. I'm walking up and down the stairs also. I plan on being ready in TWO weeks..not four!
Laurie, I'm making 20 of those candy bars. When do you need them by?

I'm sorry Barb. I wasn't trying to be short or snarky! Honest. This project is a disaster rush job. Half the checks are blank records but cleared the bank. All from 2010 and he has no idea what they were for. I am just really under the gun today and all next week. UCK!!!

Holly, this project is to put together monthly financial statements for all of 2010, and then put together a Schedule C for the personal tax return (final extension is due 10/15/11). I cannot read 1/4 of the check stubs. About another 1/4 are completely blank. Two months worth (possibly more) are missing. I hope in the end the payroll numbers from this hodge podge lodge match the W2's I created based on information I received from the client back at the end of January (another rush project - and actually I think they were quite late). It should be very interesting! I get it that the client is paying us to provide the service, but oh my! It takes creative accounting to a whole new level. I have a list of questions that is quite long, and we will record the answers the client gives us. It's just a process of back and forth, and it frustrates me because it really does not have to be this way. It also strains my eyes working on these checks that are such a mess, and that makes me cranky too.

Barb, again, I apologize if I came across witchy. I will call John tomorrow, as I need answers to those questions as well as a few others.

Ok, off to walk Chey and hope our lil coyote family is visiting a different neighborhood tonight! TTYL!

Karen...still giggling over what I THINK happened to chocolate bar #20!

Good Morning Ladies.

Karen--you cracked me up with your counting of chocolate yesterday!

Laurie--you were not snarky on bit--I was headed out and needed to get off of SCS.

Roomie took today off and there are a few projects to get done. She is repainting a sign at church and we need to also clean out the vege garden as they are starting on the garage/greenhouse project next week. We also have some trimming of shrubs as we have a friend's trailer to fill up. We are also taking supper over to her house--she had surgery on her foot last Friday and needs to stay off of it for up to 8 weeks. We will also watch the Brewer Game--this is the last game of the series and they are back home where we are sure they will win!

Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

The imitrex and a nap helped.

Some critter (squirrel?) Is already trying to munch on one of my pumpkins. I don't carve them. I leave them whole & then pretty close to Thanksgiving (depending on the weather) I break them open for the critters (deer) to enjoy. The squirrels love them too. I just wish they would wait! Apparently they have the same lack of patience I do!

Oh goodness! I am so miserable! 3

I got home tonight. ate and moved the computer into my new space.
Hooked everything up, lost the Hot Spot for my internet.. found it! I took int he bathroom with me! (oh brother)

Got all things up and running! Including my poor nose and eyes!
I look like I am sitting here crying! LOL

Finished my VSBN obligations, and my monthly challenge check in, popped over here.
We got the Dish all hooked up now in our name instead of the inlaws
Internet has been taken care of for awhile now, the electric is next on our list.
Once we get some kind of credit established we can try for the mortgage again

8ui9... Wilbur said hello!

My first goal for tomorrow is to find my BRAK list and then update my blog and gallery

Now i must go to bed!

gOOD SATURDAY MORNING LADIES!

Oops.

Well I've been up for an hour, used half a box of tissue (LOL) started some chili, got a load of clothes in the washer.. now I am ready for a nap! LOL
Oh empties the dishwasher too!

The leaves sure fell over night, it was so windy here. Spook (the youngest kitty) is funny, he chases leaves.

I have some Minestrone heating up for me to eat, skipping breakfast, straight to lunch. Soup is all I want right now!

Signed up for Dish and now we get 2 free All Day Passes , Clint wants to get Fast & Furious 5 and Rio, That bird show looks hilarious!

Oh! Judy (my ex MIL) says she heard from Rachel. All is good, baby is fine.
She has not returned any of my calls, so I am sure I said something and didn't catch it! Leave it to me.
Just thought I'd let you girls know the baby is fine. If I remember right she is due in November.

Good Morning.
Vikki, I hope you are feeling better soon! Glad you got your computer up and running. Sounds like a cool day to watch all those fun movies with Clint. You can sniffle away at home! Thank you for letting us know that Rachael is doing well. I'm sure she is just really busy getting life together. Nothing to worry about. I go disappearing from here myself many times when I have to work a ton.
Katie is HOME and making pumpkin pancakes for me! THAT"S RIGHT! Pumpkin Pancakes. I can't wait to try it. We are then going for a "field trip" (that's what Jim calls it when they get me out of the house these days) to the store. Later today, we are going to make Pumpkin cheesecake brownies! Oh my heaven...they sound so good!!!! Katie is making sure that I have a wonderful fun filled day! I am loving it. It's so good to have company. I am already dreading Monday when she leaves to go back to college. But fear NOT - Annie called and she is going to come see me on Monday so we can do cards....(YES!! CARDS! I can sit up long enough now to make cards!) on Monday. I will report back on how the pumpkin pancakes and brownies are. Love to all!

Ok, I need to borrow Katie for a few hours! Just kidding! I'm so glad you are enjoying your time together and are doing better as far as sitting up! YEAH!!!

I too have a NASTY cold settling in. Lots of sneezing, coughing and runny nose. My boss and his sons have shared with me. How sweet of them...

I did manage to get outside right away this morning while I had some ambition to take out almost all of my annuals and cut down my flower bed in the back. I left my mums up because they are only going to start blooming, and my sedum is looking FABULOUS right now. Such a deep color to it this year. Very nice. Even thought the Asian Lady beetles did a number on the leaves. Oh well.

I had planned on cooking the next two nights, but um, Tom doesn't want that. So I am thawing out spaghetti sauce for tonight and tomorrow he can cook for all I care.

I need to make a card kit quick. By then my hair should be dry so I can run to the grocery store for salad fixings for tonight.

Well rearranged my desk a bit, this new desk .. the monitor sits up higher so I took the pivet base off (old school monitor)
then my monitor stoped working. It needs dayquil I guess! All good now.

Pumpkin Pancakes.. not so sure I could be brave enough to try them.

Well Fast 5 is rented and starts at 2. I am taking my scrap basket and a few sketches and trimmer and I will sit in the man cave. I told him no smoking!

Zeus came in to visit and got himself in the dog house right away. He found my plant! little booger pulled it out of the dirt

Made myself some Minestrone with Rotelle (hot peppers in tomatoes with Chili's) I am sweating like mad! LOL

Well get inky ladies!!

The pancakes were AWSOME!!!!! So so good. We didn't get to make the pumpkin cheesecake brownies, so it's on the list for tomorrow. Tonight is Chinese food. Katie will go pick it up. Was a fantastic day!! I hope both Laurie and Vikki are feeling better!

Default Here's a challenge for us all - I found it on Facebook

52 Weeks of Mail, brought to you by Etsy Greetings Team, is designed to encourage people to be more intentional about relationships and keeping in touch with friends and family by sending out a card or letter each week, for the next year. I don't know about you, but I LOVE getting a personal, hand-written card or letter in the mail.

Throughout 52 Weeks of Mail, we are asking everyone to commit to sending just ONE card or letter each week. You can send more than one, of course! 52 Weeks of Mail BEGINS on October 9th, 2011, and ends on October 7th, 2012. Please feel free to blog about this event, or share it on your Facebook page. Share it on Twitter, or any other social networking site too!

We are hoping to get 1000 LIKES by the end of September. Please help out by sharing this with all of your Facebook friends! Let's make this viral!

If you are looking for some GREAT handmade cards to send out to your friends and family, please visit etsygreetingsteam on Etsy, a global handmade and vintage marketplace.

Here's a great idea: When you send your card to Grandma (or whomever), send a brand new card with an envelope that already has a stamp on it, so that she can send a card to someone else! Be sure to explain in your card what you are doing, so she will know why you sent her a brand new card.

Kerriann, I am in!

Vikki, Dayquil and I don't play nice together. I am taking some Theraflu before I go to bed. Will probably sleep sitting up. I cannot breathe thru my nose at all, so I know I will be snoring. UGH!

Karen, those brownies sound simply heavenly. Please share the recipe if you think of it.

Talk to you all in the morning!

Hugs!

Good Morning Ladies--Hope your day is a bright and sunny and warm as it is in Wisconsin! Temps to be in the 80's today--I think October is nicer than June was! Going to do some projects outside today--move some plants, trim some shrubs, pick the rest of the items in the vege garden--all of this needs to get done as they are starting on the garage/greenhouse project on Wednesday. The Brewers play at 3:00 and the Packers at 7:00--so another awesome sports day in Wisconsin!

I hope you have a great day too!

Hi Barb! It sure is another great day today. I love having the windows open and airing out the house (esp cuz I live with a smoker).

Admirals won last night! 4-1 at the home opener in Peoria. I was very happy! We have such a new team this year, and they did a great job. They were a little too excited at first and got some penalties, but they settled down and got down to business! YEAH! Home opener is Friday night, and I will be there. Hope to hear from John tomorrow Barb.

What do you plan to sell the M&M tube treat bags for? The other thread says most are selling for $1.50, but that seems high for me. I know a bunch of mine sold at the craft fairs last year, but I cannot remember what I had the marked for. LaVerne, who is selling them again for me does not remember either, but knew I also had them at 4 for something. So, I am thinking I had them at $1.25 or 4 for $4 or $1 each and 4 for $3. What do you think?

I had cards the year before at $2.50 or 5 for $10. Then, last year I changed them to $2 or 7 for $10 and lots more sold.

I was thinking $1 each for the M&M's and cards I was thinking $2. I like the 7 for $10. I was chatting with Lynn P from stamp club about it, and I agree with her that cheap will sell more. I don't want to go too cheap though. We also have the items Holly donated, and I think Christine has full size composition books she may be bringing. Christine has a bunch of cards as well.

Lynn is making us Any Hero Cards! I am really excited to see her getting inky and coming out of her shell a bit. She will be joining us that night!

Oh, I'm also going to make (or my Mom might be doing it for me!), some tubes with the York Peppermint Patty bites in them. They are the same size as M&M's, and they are Admirals colors. So...who knows what will go and what won't. I'm sure RMDH won't mind getting any extras.

So, the cards that I am bringing for donating to OWH--not the ones to sell--those are the ones that Christine and her mom are adding envies and anything else to that night, right? I do not need to do anything else to them--just bring the box full along. And, it is OK if there are names stamped on the back, right? Many are from swaps and some have names on them.

We are supposed to have this weather for a few more days! YEAH!!!

Barb, the ones we are selling at the table to the general public at the game need to have envelopes and be ready to go. I don't mind if any (for sale or OWH) have someone else's info on them. The cards that we make in the kits for OWH will need to be stamped on the back with the OWH logo and be tucked into envelopes as well as any cards that are being donated directly to OWH. Everything that is sent to OWH needs to be stamped and tucked. A big project huh? That's why I'm thinking a few people will need to be doing that for us that night (such as Christine's Mom and my Mom if she decides to ask off work)!
