Please keep my friend Ginger's son in your prayers. He passed out at school last night. Took campus people 25 minutes to find him. He has no memory of things for the past few years, and is at the hospital. They are going to do an EEG this morning and see a neurologist. I am pretty sure he is a college freshman. Don't know much more than that...

I also love the fact that there is a buzzer that goes off so that I don't have to worry about overbaking the bread. I can also make just the dough only. That way I can do bread rolls if I want.

The cookbook also has recipes for sweet dough, pizza crust and much more. I have made the pizza crust and it is delish, just not big enough for my household.

Thanks Sue! i am thinking it is going on my Christmas/bday wishlist

Clint hates soup, doesn't care for BBQ sauce and only eats white meat.

i was thinking of just stuffing it and baking it.

thats what we do......bake it whole, and serve with gravy, mashed taters, stovetop and freshbread......nummy.......

I would have been so scared. They were on the phone, and he said...Mom I feel dizzy. She said sit down, and that was it. He apparently dropped his phone...so the whole time they were looking for him, she could only hear noises in the background. He was unconcious the entire time. They don't know if it was a seizure or what. They are doing an EEG this morning.

Laurie, Prayers are being said as I type...please let us know.
Jim mowed our lawn this past weekend and removed all but one of the ACs. Seeing the weather reports, it might be the last time he has to mow.
I overdid it a bit on Saturday and my leg was sore yesterday. Today it's a bit better. I'm trying to decided if I should go ahead and go to the store by myself today. It would be my first time out by myself. I think I'm good to go if I make the trip fast and can get a close parking space. I really REALLY would love to make dinner tonight. I can't bend down to put anything in the oven, but if I got everything else done, Jim could pop it in!
I've gotten one half of the shawl done for Katie. I'll try to remember to post a picture here of it when it's done!

Morning Girls
Well yesterday I ended up getting nothing else done except the floor mopped as I went for a trip in the truck. Was nice. Today I have an early doctor appointment, then will do the ironing and tidy the house. Have a doctor appointment after I drop the boys at school. Have been feeling down and have decided that I need my anti-depressants again and another referral to my physcgologist. I am ok, but want to make sure that I don't get any worse. No idea why I am in a funk again, but best to get myself out of it before it spirals into something worse. Probably just the being sick and the stress of it all I suppose - and the fact that I seem to 'need' the help to let me feel 'well'. I have decided that it is better to accept that I have a depression problem, rather than fight it and feel worse again. That isn't meant to sound depressing - it is a good thing!! I have also decided that I need to get out more - I love being on my own, but need to meet up with some of my friends more often. I am missing the monhtly craft that I used to go to, so will have to track down something as the girl that was doing that has stopped.

Still waiting on word about my friend's son. They did the EEG and they were to have a neurology consult. Still hoping for the best.

We had the beef roast tonite. I'm pretty sure it was the best roast I've ever made. It was a chuck roast. Good stuff!

Turns out he had a stress induced seizure. He is taking a very full class load and they are all accelerated/honors courses. I think it just got to be too much. They are putting him on anti-seizure meds and meeting with the school counselor to rearrange his schedule.

Dawn has been on Facebook lately, so as far as that goes, I know she is OK from there.

FYI - It is National Cookie Month! How fabulous is that??? Who doesn't love cookies of some sort right?!

Good morning all! I put on my own socks today!!! I used the rug to help get them on. But I'm still calling it a successful morning.
Laurie, Glad to hear that maybe if they re-arrange his schedule and take off some of the stress, he will be better.
Katie is coming home for the long weekend on Friday..I cannot wait!

Good morning! Happy Wednesday!!!

Tom is off today and tomorrow Barb! Tomorrow he is going fishing (thank you God!)! He has been wanting to go so bad.

So, here I am at work, with not so much desire to be here when it's so nice outside. Hoping for Friday off, but not so sure that will happen.

Morning all
It is a rainy day here today. I have no housework that needs to be done, so not sure what I will do. Still have no urge to do any craft, but maybe sitting at my desk at starting might help that. Otherwise I have some tv to watch. Had my last specialist appointment yesterday after having all the tests done. I have gastritis because I have it. Maybe stress, but the stress was ages ago, but may have 'caught up' on me. Anyway, he has referred me to a new pshyc who is her in town, instead of in Brisbane (an hour away), so will see him and we shall see why I am getting stressed. I suspect I just need to to the whole'depression thing' for a while and all will be well.
I have some 'dates' booked with some girl friends. I am going to go to bible study every Wednesday morning at the church where Bug goes (he goes to a different one than me) and a craft evening every 2nd Friday night. It is one that a friend goes to where you take your own stuff, which is not really what I want to do, but I am sure I will enjoy it anyway. A lady who runs a small 'shop' out of her home has it and you can buy stuff from her if you want/need to, but also just bring what you are working on from home. I will have to plan in advance, which could be interesting. Both start next week.
Anyway, must take Bug and Matt to school....

Good morning Ladies! I'm off to the Doctors today to see what he has to say about my progression. Jim is thinking they will say one more shot (ugh!). I'm hoping they will say I'm close to going back to work. Have a great Thursday!

Karen, I hope you get good news from the doc today!

Another fabulous day weather-wise here in SE Wisconsin. Tom is out fishing with his buddy James. I already got texted a pic of a really nice bass they caught! I hope he enjoys his time out there. He needed some R&R!

I have a somewhat icky project on my desk today. I FINALLY got the 2010 info for a client that we run annually. It's a complete and total train wreck. I will be curious to see how it all turns out in the end.

Good Morning--yesterday I started to go through some of my "stash of cards" to give to a friend who will take them to the local craft fairs. I also am getting a bag of cards ready to take to the Ronald McDonald House. I plan to make some Halloween and Thanksgiving M&M treat bags to sell. I have four photo boxes full of cards that will go to the craft fairs and then a bag of about 200 more to give to RMH. I need to get these off of my craft table, so I can play!

Save some to sell at the Admirals game Barb!

Oh this project is just a gem. We do this every year, and every year it's right up to the deadline. It's just a joke. But whatever...he pays us to do this, so I will do it.

Don't worry--I have lots and lots.

Do you think holiday cards---Thanksgiving and Christmas-would be better than the general categories--thank you, get well, sympathy, birthday, etc.? Or some of each?

Any idea on how to display those for sale? Should we try to put them in boxes with divides by categories like I do for the craft fairs or will they just get messed up? Or maybe, just lay them on a table and let people sort through them that way.

Laurie--do you have any type of info on the event typed up that you can email to a few people? I know you said you had some fliers--do you have a pdf of that?

I do not have a PDF because they took the Make & Leave flier off their website. I'm kinda mad about that. I need to call John tomorrow, and see what he has made up for fliers. I can create an email to send out.

I think Christine will have her cards in a box by theme. I think all themes are fine, and maybe we put some out on the table just to attract the attention. I don't know how well they will go over, but figure it's worth a shot!

OK--I will make a box or two up also. Plus, some on the tables will be good.

If you could put some details together in a word document, that would be good. Any word on the food or glue dots?

No. I am quite not happy about how he has NOT responded to my last few emails so I will be calling tomorrow when I have more time.
