They changed our forcast for this week.. yesterday it said rain today, now it is partly cloudy all week adn rain on the weekend... go figure! LOL

Well I spent a lot of time in the gallery yesterday.... I try to pick one topic (like a particular theme, or stamp set or technique) and ooh and ahh over it all day! Good for my post numbers but really bad on the house work! LOL

This thread cracks me up because I could have written it! A bunch of us would get together when we could to scrap and stamp and there is 1 girl in particular who would spend the entire time complaining and putting all her marital, family and work drama on all of us. She was really kind of pathetic and so we all tried to help her out. I cant even tell you the countless hours I personally have spend trying to help her in her life!! Well, it made that time together less enjoyable for all the rest of us. To make matters worse, we would all give her advice, pretty much always the same sound, resonable advice, which she would always ignore. She was a real downer to be around. She is now going thru a divorce and several of us have sort of ended the close friendship and just talk to her now and then. When she calls, I set a limit of how long I will talk and then just tell her I am busy. I now mostly get together with a friend and sometimes her daughter and I enjoy it so much more without this other "drama mama"! LOL

I couldnt agree more with you that its such an energy drain and it always did reflect in my work too....negative in, negative out. Its just no good!

Vickki...I just went to look at your gallery but the card still isn't posted. I love making the folded paper cards. I've made a couple of them and used it to make my Easter Cards. Now comes the hard part...actually MAILING out the cards! LOL! I still have cards I made last year for Easter. I love making them. I just don't really get around to mailing them out! I just got home from working about an hour ago and I'm sitting here enjoying my wine. I'm trying to stop myself from making some Kraft mac and cheese...it's wayyyy to late to eat, but I haven't eaten since this afternoon. Now I'm hungry but don't want to eat this late. I have NEVER been that kind of person that could eat late at night. I am not a skinny girl to say the least. I'm off to see Kelly's gallery. That is the perfect way to end a night..to look at some nice cards!

Laurie, ohh! Don't pack your stamp stuff till you need to. Moving can be stressful, you'll need your stamps to work off your stress! Where are you moving to?

Hey Karen...I am not moving far, but I am in the midst of tax season, and I really don't have a lot of time to stamp anyways right now. Makes me sad that I can't get inky as often as I would like! Can't wait for May!!!

Vikijo...you are way to kind to compliment my gallery! Its not that big and i havent added anything in ages because everything I have been making has been for the Stampin Up Artisan Award contest so I cant post it since I am sending in to them. I just bought some Copic markers and am going to try them out this weekend. (Yep, I know, way behind the times on just getting those, huh? LOL)

I swear that Reindeer Poop always gets a laugh! And honestly, I bought that SU stamp set JUST for that reason. I knew that the reindeers in that set would be perfect. And then the snowmen are perfect for the snowman soup stuff and the elves in it are perfect for the Elf food. That stamp set gets a workout at Christmas cuz everyone I know gets reindeer poop! LOL

Kelly, I have NOT jumped on the Copic wagon yet....I just can't get sucked in until my bills are caught up. So...I am way behind on that too!

No copics here either...I think they would be too much for me to use, and lead to frustration. I just started on the Nesties craz, and I can tell I'm going to want to buy more, and they are not cheap. This weekend is not going to work fo me to stamp. I have to work on Saturday and Sunday we are going to visit my BIL and SIL for pizza at my DD favorite pizza joint. My DD just turned 18 a couple of weeks ago and we are just going to catch up with them. It should be a fun time. My Dad and Mom will meet us there.
I did get to stamp a bit today. I made some more Easter cards (here's hoping I actually get them in the mail) and a "Heard your expecting a baby card. I did a bit of cleaning..but not as much as I should have! It's 430 here and now I'm trying to figure out supper. It's hard because I could be feeding 4 or just myself. With my kids being older, their lives are filled up with events, and DH never is sure when he'll be home. I can tell you...I'll be having a glass of wine!!

Good afternoon ladies! It's nice that the website seems to be up and running again. It was my day off today and it flew by...without even making one card! . I had to take the kitties to the vet for a check up. Then it was errand city. I could be making a card right now, but it seems too late to start. Do any of you do the same thing? i feel like I have to have the whole day in front of me to stamp. If I only have an hour or so, it doesn't seem worth it. It can take me two hours just to work out what I'm going to stamp! LOL! Tonight's dinner will just me me and my husband. Both of my kids are out and running around with their friends. So....to cook? eat out? or take out?? What is going on in your lives?

I think we are eating out tonight. I have a swap in the works...cardstock is all cut and corners rounded, etc...now I just need to stamp and assemble. I'm hoping to work on that after we get home. Work tomorrow, and then we are celebrating Easter a bit early with my family due to some schedule conflict for next weekend. Sunday I work a half day (I do taxes by the way.), and then I am hoping to catch up on laundry and packing because I am moving at the end of April.....crazy busy as always!

Holly...I will bring that wine RIGHT OVER! I'll watch you sew and keep your wine glass full. Last time I tried to sew was in 8th grade and I failed something awful!!! I never touched a machine after that!
Laurie..I would come over and help you put those cards together! I do that sometimes for my sister and I love doing it just to be stamping. You sure have a lot going on this week with moving and the cards to make!
I came home from work today and my dear DH had supper already simmering on the stove. Wow! That just kinda made my day. I am so enjoying this night. I am sipping wine (of course) and going into every corner of this website having a WONDERFUL time. I would love to be stamping but that is the one and only flaw of my stamping room....poor poor lighting in the evening. Anyone have suggestions? Tomorrow I hope to stamp in the early morning light before I have to get my family moving for the dinner with my parents.
Ksvip, LOVE the raindeer poop,,,I know a few of my friends who will go ga ga over that.
Vickki...how's your weekend going?

Our thread could be No More Drama and No one has Copics! LOL

Me either! I do most of my coloring with the Pastels and pencils.

I love that Easter Bunny Poop! LOL

I was on a Nestie kick for a short while, now that I have Story Book for the Cricut, It has one very similar to the Labels Nestie

Well gee, Laurie is packing the stampin stuff, Karen is bringing the wine, Holly is cooking, I'll do the kitchen clean up.... sounds good to me! LOL

I spent today helping my mom and sister move. They are only moving 7 blocks from where they are so they can stay in the school district for my nephew next fall. He is 9.
Well the school decide that they were changing their lines for 2010 - 2011 and they were 2 blocks from the line and stupid stress!
Anyhow, I am beat!!!

Karen I know what you mean about just an hour isn't worth it! I take that just to decide the base! LOL

Okay girls.. wanna hear some news?
Clint, my boyfriend of 4 + years asked me to marry him. Well that was last Monday (or was it Tuesday!)
Anyhow, today he gave me his grandmothers (she past away in 2007) rings. His dad gave them to him to give to me.
Monday I am checking with the county as to the cost of a license.
You girls know before anyone else, so shhhh. LOL

Okay, I am off of here now for the night. OMG My body hates me I tell ya! LOL we moved them using my mini pickup (which was awesome for the really heavy things we didn't want to lift higher) But seriously is tiny!
My brother brought his full size truck, my mom and sisters truck and another sister, her dh, my niece and her dh. We did over 20 loads, and are not done! She has until May 1st to be out of the one, that gives them time to do the cleaning and hole filling. But my brother is leavign for FL tonight with his wife and 3 grand daughters and won't beable to help again until the weekend after Easter. My sister from WI and them can come back that same weekend.
I stay with my mom during the work week... saves me a long daily drive.
Well I think this turned into a book! LOL

Good night, and I'll be back to do some more gallery gazing tomorrow

OMGOSH!!!! Well Congrats on the engagement! Boy, talk about a whirl wind week for you! AND ...reasons to make cards! LOL. "We're moving" for your mom and sister and "We're engaged" for yourself! I'm sure you are exhusted but happy.
Could you post a picture of the rings? I would love to see them.
I'm in the middle of making homefries for my family and cleaning the kitchen....um...well.....I'm really here typing! I got up this morning and started cleaning. Then my DD said she'd like some homefries...then DH went out to get some eggs. Sigh...so much for the plan of stamping this morning. I am still set on getting some stamping done today. We have to leave here at 3pm to get to dinner with my folks, so if I can get the cooking done, and the dishes clean, I might be able to squeeze in one card at least! Ok..timer is going off and that's my sign to get moving! Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Vikki, I would love to see pics of the ring too....meanwhile...here are pics of my "new" stamping room...the color is almost amethyst... a little lighter than the pics actually show...and the new floor Tom put in. I LOVE IT!!! The ceiling is white. I think he did a fabulous job!

That explains why you didn't answer my text. I thought you were upset! LOL
One feature I dislike about this phone is while I am in the middle of texting if someone interrupts I do not have the options to continue texting and ignore them. So it is in my drafts and not even sent.
I told Clint I was wondering if you had gotten too busy. I sent (well thought I did) on Saturday on our way home.

No...not mad at all! I think it's awesome when families pass things down thru the generations like that.

Thank you! This is the 3rd time he has asked me, but the first time he's talked to his parents abut it.. so I doubt he will blow it off this time! LOL
Already started I did one using Wild Card for the Cricut for them to approve.. no to make 12 more! UFF DA today even! LOL
Nope, you girls are the only ones we are telling right now. My mother is very negative and i just couldn't handle that right now. We are going to get married with the justice of the peace, then have a party, so we will announce WE ARE MARRIED, COME CELEBRATE. We have to pick a date yet, he said 10-10-10, so he can't forget! LOL But now he says that's too far away. He also wants his mom's parents as witness'es. his dad's parents are both gone now, it was Grace's ring that he gave me.
Oh, I must have been really tired, I did not mean to put RINGS, it is one ring, and its a very old Gold band. They were married for 60 years.
His grama Grace was a little woman. When he first told me that his dad was giving her ring to us, Clint and I talked about needing to go get it resized. Here's the freaky part.. it fit me as is!

Well my mom just called me.. interrupting me and Laurie! LOL
She is so sick she can't get out of bed. She has an oxygen thing and Raye says she's been on it pretty much all day now.
She wants Clint and I down there today to help Raye. Raye doesn't seem to work well alone.
I was prepared to be home and able to get inky until Wednesday
I may not be able to visit here again until Sunday.
Be good girls!

Thanks Holly!

I have a huge Saunders book case that holds all my stamp sets, a corner unit desk for the computer. The desk has a matching printer stand and file cabinet (that holds all of my cardstock...2 Stampin Up color families per drawer), a table I am getting at Sam's Club, a new Ink caddy I need to order when I get paid from my part time job on April 7, a small dresser to hold all my supplies ( crimper, heat tool, chalk, etc) and a curio cabinet full of hand blown glass...trust me...the room will be FULL!!!

Vickki...sorry your mom is sick. So hard to keep the mojo when that happens. I think the ring is BEAUTIFUL! It reminds me of my Mom's ring..so pretty! I hope your Mom is doing better soon. Prayers to both of you.
Laurie...I LOVE LOVE the color of your room. I actually did my stamping room Cranberry crisp and I love it. I don't like my living room color although I did it at the same time..creamy carmel...it's just too netural. Maybe I should go the route you did...it's just soooo beautiful.
Now...my stamping room is really suppose to be my dinning room. DH has been ok with me changing it to a "sort of" stamping room. But he still wants it to be a dinning room...lol! I just recently told him I'd like to add another table...it's really tough to try and make room on just one table for my tonic cutter and cuttlebug AND have room to stamp. He put his foot down...said "I'd like to keep it somewhat looking like a dinning room and not a craftroom. We own a two family house and rent the downstairs. So we don't have a lot of room. I have to think a way around this. I use the room WAY more than we do to have company over.

Thanks Karen! Did I mention (maybe you can tell from the pics) that the ceiling is white, and just the walls are Almost Amethyst. He put down a Pergo floor, and it went really well. I am really excited about it! Thanks again!

Well change in plans. My sister decided she needed some drama in her life more than help, so we left!
I gave my mom a vicks rub down, top to bottom before I left though.

Now I am going to do the Mojo challenge form yesterday. I'll post a pic later! First I really need another Dew! LOL

Hi Girls,

i am here..... had dramas with computers the last little while. My new computer has died and it appears (pray hard here girls) that they can't get any info off it all for me. My external hard drive didn't do it's back up the day before and I had finally finished loading everything from the old computer on, so I will find out today if it is truly lost. There are some new photos that aren't backed up and I will have to reconstuct some bookwork etc as the external hard drive's last back up was corrupt which basically means there is no back up. Most of the photos are on dick, but everything else isn't. I will have to get an older accounting file from the accountant and re do that, and then reconstruct all the spreadsheets etc that were on there. They have one thing left to try, so I will find out today.
Vikki Jo - that is fabulous news. I am so excited, but won't say anymore until I see something else on here about it!!!!
