I have n idea what the crescents are, but I am thinking either chicken and avocado, or chicken, swiss cheese and dijon mustard, or maybe some honey mustard.
We can buy frozen sweet potato fries over here - you know, in a bag from the supermarket.
I gave whole heap of jars to a friend a week or so ago, as she had lots to things that needed bottling, and I didn't have anything, or the time. Anyway, she paid me back by giving me a jar or everything that she made. We have cucumber relish, pickled peppers & chillies, tarragon jelly and a jar of spiced pumpkin puree. She says that the pumpkin is ready to go straight into a pie (she is from America). Anyway, I had to ask what the tarragon stuff was (we guessed while we were waiting for her answer, but only because I had my herb book out and compared the leaves in the jar to everyerb in the book), so I don't want to ask how to make a pie, seeming as I suppose you just put it in pastry? Do you generally put pastry on top too, what to you serve it with - icecream, cream, custard??

Good Morning--It is Friday! I am headed out for awhile--stopping at a rummage sale, need to get a battery for my camera, a stop at the bank and then some grocery shopping. Some friends from Colorado are coming in tomorrow and we have tickets for the Brewer game in the afternoon--we "hope" to tailgate before the game, but they are saying colder and rain tomorrow.

I am back and checking the threads and blogs--now that Blogger is up. I have the salads made for tailgating tomorrow, the brats and Italians cooked, chairs/table are in the Pilot along with the grill. Just wish the weather would cooperate as it is to be in the low 50's and rainy tomorrow.
I keep forgetting to tell you that I got the stampt swap during the week. Will get it and the image swap out int he next fortnight. We are about to go out to soccer - Bug is still on the sideline though, but it is a home game. Annabelle is getting dropped off at soccer and is having a sleepover tonight.

I don't have much planned for this weekend either. I might go visit a friend of mine tomorrow night. Other than that, I am staying home.
I got some cough medicine from the doc today. It has codeine in it. I took some, and it's not doing much for me. Maybe I am expecting too much. I just hope to sleep good tonight.
I have to get some cards made up too. I had a lot of cards to send out this month, and I haven't made any card donations yet this year to RMHC or OWH. I feel bad about that. I also have not started on my Christmas cards for this year. I am going to make 80 and call it good. I found a box of store cards I may use up this year.
gosh Laurie, i hope you feel better soon. i think they only put a mild form of codiene in the cough stuff.
dont feel bad about the cards, you have had a super busy tax season, and not feelin well zaps mo-jo too. you'll catch up when you are better!
wow! 80 Christmas cards? holy cow! we only send about a dozen! maybe a few more. and some on the list always get store cards cause they dont apprciate the handmade stuff. i got tired of the snarky remarks, so now they get store ones

Our demo showed them to us Wednesday night. They are prettty neat. The doily one makes punches that could easily be snowflakes. The bakers twine is really nice as well. I might get the sailboat stamp on page 11. also heard a rumor there will be stuff to go with the postage stamp punch in the new big catty. Oh my!
Vicki, I got your card today, such a surprise! and very pretty! Thank You
Laurie I also got the jewelry today. the bracelet is even more pretty than I thought! the other things might be gifts or I might just keep them so I won't talk about them here hope you start getting better soon.
Kerriann, wow you have a lot going on still, hope you are getting enough rest so you don't get sick like Laurie.
I saw that dog video at the begining of the week, and shared it on my facebook page, my brother Brian and I have been quoting it all week!!!!
Barb, have fun at the game! last I checked the chance of rain was 60% so heres hoping it'll be dry for the tailgate.
I gota go and get to bed now, my sister Robin and I are having a rummage sale tomorow(village wide) and I have to get up at the b** crack. it's going to be a long day. at least we are having it in a heated garage!!!

Yucky morning in SE Wisconsin--and not much better this afternoon as it is to rain more. Kind of drizzly now and cool. We went to a farmers market this morning--got some asparagus and scallions. Our friends from Colorado are about an hour away I think. Not sure what we are going to do with tailgating before the Brewers game this afternoon--might go to plan B--eat at a restaurant on the way to the game and then come home afterwards and grill here. We had plan to do the opposite if the weather cooperated.
I will probably not be back here until tomorrow--so hope everyone has a great weekend.

For me it would be chicken, crm of mush soup, craisins and stove top stuffing.
The other combos you suggested sound great too. Must put those on my list of future supper meals. Getting tired of eating all the same things.
Sorry for being MIA for so long, but major health problems in the family have really put me into a black hole.
Youngest step-daughter was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She is 37 and the mother of two boys, aged 16 & 12. Larry is not taking it well. We don't know the "plan" yet. She is meeting with UW MDs on Tuesday. One 2cm spot and several other small spots. This is not sounding good at all.

I'm here today, just for a short time. Got your PMs. The only stamps I am offering for sale is the SU stamps and the Judith stamps. I sent you a PM with the Judith stamps. I am only offering these stamps at the prices mentioned to my friends. So, let me know which ones you are buying.
By the end of the month, I will be putting them onto to eBay.
Lots of emotional things going on in my family right now and am trying to keep my sanity.
Having new pain now, right hip is getting worse. Hoping to hold off surgery as long as possible.
Work drama has shifted in perspective. One of my co-workers was escorted out of the building and the rest of us are on pins and needles. The person at the heart of the problem is leaving the department for another job after causing all the trouble. Oh well, gotta have health insurance, so I shut up and show up. Only 1,873 days until I retire.

Its a digi I found on Raye's computer, I'll have to ask her. I know it doesn't count toward my resolution! LOL
hilarious! Barb just asked about you and POP there she is!
Louie is home again. I gave him a bath last night, he took it very well. No claws!
He is not well though. the vet was not helpful.. cash up front and blah blah blah
I am making him stay inside.. he is far from happy! His leg looks better today. very swollen though.
Gloomy and chilly here. the neighbors mini horse and mini goat went on a walk about this morning we spent a few hours trying to find them. the goat showed back up at home, but so far no horse. he was in my yard (it used to be our horse) I think he is in the woods between our places. his tracks go back there.
The sun is peaking out,but it's still quite chilly
Dinner last night was a frozen pizza. Dinner tonight is baby back ribs on the grill, baked potatoes, and Caesar salad.
Barb, as I was driving to the South Side around 3:30, I was telling myself - I bet they didn't tailgate...it's just TOO yucky out. Now today this wind is so cold. Tom (weatherman) says we will probably go right from this cold, damp, yuck to hot and humid yuck. No nice spring in between...again.
Vikki, we did get your card. Thank you! Yes, our mailman is a jack rabbit. I do not like that man. We got our neighbors mail again the other day. I put it back in the box (no bills) with a big bright sticky note that said DELIVER TO CORRECT ADDRESS PLEASE!!! Oh is he a putz...and they think they deserve Christmas presents and stuff....not so much!
Our furnace is making funky noises. Yes, we have the furnace on. They are calling for frost tonight. Anyways...after it runs it makes a funky clunky noise. That just cannot be good. So, we are preparing for replacing it this summer. I gotta be honest...it's looking more an more like our vacation isn't going to happen.
I hope you all have a fabulous day! I am going to get inky.

The new recipe I made for the party yesterday was a hit. Pizza Salad. Uses pasta, peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms, blk olives, grape tomatoes and Italian dressing. Yummy. Our supper was burgers, brats & hot dogs on grill, with salads (pasta w/ham; 7 layer; potato; Pizza), deviled eggs and ice cream cake for dessert. I had a couple glasses of red wine before eating and then a bottle of beer after supper.
Hmmm, maybe the beverages are the reason I overslept this morning and didn't make it to church. LOL
