Holly....that little notebook is SO FLIPPING CUTE!!!! I love it! Thank you so much. It's in my pocketbook--I love having a little noteb ook to joint notes down...I've already put it to good use.
Kerriann, I love your Baby card! I also am very interested in your canning. I love the jars and all the cool looking food. Chutney! mmmmm.
Laurie..I know you are computer less--but let me say HELLO! I hope you are back and running soon
rachel, that is one flipping cute graduation card. I see you are a nesties fan also? I just can't seem to stop buying them.
Vicki, everyone loved the graduation invites for my dd party. Thank you so much for helping out! I meant to take a picture, but I was so worried about getting them out in time, I mailed them before taking a finished picture.
It's hot as blazes here, about 90 degrees. DD and I just got back from a baby shower. It was a lot of fun--and the house had ac, so it was very comfortable!
Next week, Katie is graduating on Friday. Two weeks after that is some big deal at work that is major hush hush...but we have to work extra hours. Then the week after that is Katie's orientation at college, which is a two day overnight and then the day after we get home, is Katie's BIG graduation party. Then the next week, I'm off to Seattle for another kick off for work. I don't like having things crazy like that. When am I going to make cards and sit on my butt?
July will be much less crazy and more quiet. Ahhhhhhhhhh!
I promise I'll try to keep up with everyone here..I do love to read how you all are doing. If I don't post, just know I'm reading! Hugs to all!!!!
Welcome back!!

Kerriann...as far as little things that make me crazy...here we go...

We have three light switches for the light in the hallway. They really need to be all the same way (top pushed in or bottom pushed in). I will make sure they are that way all the time. Does that mean I have OCD?

I am very particular about the organization of my client files at work, but at home I live very cluttered. Not terrible...just comfortably cluttered. It's just how I grew up. But someone messes with my client files and I will go Kung Fu Panda on them.
Welcome back Laurie!!

She worked Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I chatted with her briefly Sunday morning via text on the way home from picking strawberries. I haven't heard from her today though.

I need to work on my red, white & blue swaps, but I just don't have the ambition. Someone needs to kick me in the tush and get me going!

Thanks! I needed that. So...what time is it there...just curious... I can never figure it out. I also need to make out my order for the Stampin' Up Retirement party my demo is having. YEAH! It's not until June 25th, but I can start playing around with the order now. Mostly cardstock.

Kerriann, thank you for the birthday card in case I didn't mention that before, and for the other card as well.

Holly, thank you for the cute note pad! Adorable!

FYI Kerriann is 15 hours a head of us Laurie!

Time Zone Map I use

http://www.timezonecheck.com/

I am so tired lately.. I can't find any interest in making cards. NONE!
The invites are done and out. The programs are designed, the Favors are designed. the Thank You's are created (maybe I might change my mind on them yet), I have the 2 baskets decorated, need one more yet for the Favors to be in.
Have 6 Blue Canning jars cleaned, 3 more that I don't think will ever come clean!

Oh, got the ribbon from Laurie! Awesome thank you!!
Not sure if I am figuring this right... it takes 12" each, there are 15 yards on a roll. So I can do 45 Programs,
Unless I do not tie a bow, just a knot that can be slipped off. hummm back to thinking! LOL

Then on the favors if I tie a piece around each one, that's even more ribbon! Man i sure didn't give this much thought before hand. The ribbon that I can get from the shops around here is the darker stuff I used on the baskets. I plan to use that on the jars too.

Do you girls think it would look bad if I used the darker stuff on the other stuff?

Holly Oh, Thank you so much for the cute notebook!

Kerriann I got the happy mail from you too! Awesome!

Well Clint gets his teeth today! So I have to go now.

YAY!!! HI Vikki,

no, i dont think it would look bad at all to use the darker ribbon. but, if you havent already cut it all, you could even mix the colors amongst each item. you know, do a few with the light then a few in the darker. that way they are the same but different, if that makes sense........?

anyway you do it they are all gonna be beautfiul my dear!

Watchout...kerriann is gonna kick us all in the tush!

Vikki, I agree with Holly, if you haven't actually cut the ribbon yet, mix it up. You are using both anyways, so you are fine. No wedding etiquette police are going to come and get you. Honest!

I'll join your "Lost my stamping MoJo". I have the day off...did my housework...and now I'm just staring at my craft table. I can't seem to get inspired...sigh....
I like the idea of mixing up the ribbons also, but I really think you can't go wrong in either direction!
Laurie and Kerrianne...Thank you for the happy mail! Boy, it's nice to be shifting through the mail saying "bill, bill, bill...OH A CARD..bill...bill.." LOL!
My car is in for repairs so I have no car today. Tonight I'm getting my hair cut. Boy..do I need it. I think I'm going to try and go get inspired again....maybe if I put on some happy perky music?

[quote=Kerriannb;16806800]I have an hour to kill before starting the soccer run, so I thought we might play a 'game' this week. I'll start by listing my strange little idiosyncracies - which my friend the pysch says are all ok and perferctly normal

OK....Here are my oddities!

1: when i go to bed, the closet door absolutely positively MUST be shut, it is after all, on my side of the bed, and i refuse to be the first one the Evil Monkey gets to when he breaks free.....ha ha ha...but seriously, it must be closed or i cant sleep

2: pocketbook always hangs on left shoulder, always hold phone to left ear, coffee mug always in right hand

3: i refuse to learn to drive stick because i cannot drink my coffee and shift at same time! right hand shifting no workie, see #2 above!

4: i have a favorite coffee mug and pillow.....both are off limits...no exceptions!

5: DH knows the craft room is mine and if i wanna leave it messy i will...so there

6: do not expect me to remember anything you say before i have my morning coffee, and i am not responsible for forgetting LOL

Firstly, thank you Holly for the Happy Mail.

Secondly, thank goodness someone else has some bizarre oddities!! Laurie had me worries because hers were so mild

Can't talk long as there is so much going on here. My almost 18 year old step daughter has moved in with us, after a grat deal of fuss and bother on the weekend (I won't even try to go into it, as ther is no way I could even start to explain). This is so much against her Mother's wishes, that her Mother is almost on suicide watch. Unfortunatley this is the type of thing that DSS has had to put up with most of her life - everytime she tried to make a decision that didn't agree with what her Mother wanted. The weird thing is that 18 year old DS is about to move out, so there is a free bedroom - God works in mysterious ways! Anyway, we are all happy to have her here, but it is causing some stress, and once she is feeling a bit stronger there will need to be counselling etc, due to the emotional turmoil and guilt that her Mother has been putting her through for most of her life. Nothing I can't cope with (with the help of the odd glass of wine, or the odd valium!!)

Kerriann, I sure hope it all works out for you and step daughter. Sounds like she has sure had a rough time! Whew.

Went and got my haircut today. We took 10 inches off. Now I feel I look like a mushroom. when the camera battery is done charging I will take a picture and post it. I am donating it to Locks for Love. That is why I was growing it. www.locksoflove.org.

I am on a roll this morning. Half made a card and have eggplant chutney (I have lots of eggplants and I googled recipes - who knows what it will taste like, but it smells good) on the stove already and it's only 6.56am.
first thing, Tomatoes are an amazing wonderful food. AS TOMATOES! Tomato Sauce I think it is just cooked tomatoes, strained, no skins seeds or anything. Ketchup.. I vomit at the smell! It has STUFF in it that should never touch a tomato! LOL

Annoyed.. I would be too! I do it to myself quite often. You are not alone!

The only Eggplant I have around here is from Stampin Up! LOL Sorry I could not resist!

I went to take a bite and I could smell it so much I couldn't eat. I couldn't figure it out. She finally told me it was in my burger.
I never saw it.. just the smell!

Thank goodness for the hubs and his Mighty Roto Tiller!
shame on you! LOL
I am so in the no-ketchup camp! YAY! Me too! I'm definately a mayo-on-my-fries kinda girl, and gimme the relish/mustard/onions on my brats! Yep, I'm with ya here too. But I like Horse Radish too!
I think it goes back to when I was a kid and we had a bottle that said Catsup.... my brother actually told me it was Cat-Soup! Yick! My stepdad used to say that too, back when I did like ketcup. I grew a strong dislike for it while pregos with DS2 But he loves the stuff. Besides, I like my tomatos savory, not sweet. I've actually heard of people slicing a tomato and then sprinkling sugar on it... eeew.

Kerriann - super cute baby card! I love that little ducky in the corner, perfect touch! Babies are so much fun, it seems like a third of my friends are pregnant right now! I've been cranking out pages for baby books left and right. *whew* I've been trying to make hand made gifts for Christmas each year, too. Unfortunately, my family is spread out all over the country, so shipping out packages is pretty spendy! Too bad we can't can in plastic jars, right? It sure would make things lighter! I like to send out home made hot chocolate and Chai tea mixes, 'cause those can be in a plastic bag instead of a glass jar. I also send out dog cookies, since everyone in the family has dogs!

Laurie - Bummer about the lack of connection! I'd be pretty lost, but then I'm online every day for work. Actually, I'd probably appreciate the quiet! LOL I got some very cute happy mail today! Thank you thank you thank you!! I'm also looking forward to trying out that recipe, there's a strawberry farm about 10 minutes away that my inlaws have all picked at for years. I'm seeing a field trip in my future!!

Holly - That cupcake recipe looks awesome too! What kind of texture do the strawberries have when the cupcakes are done? Kinda like apple pie, slightly softer but still has texture? Either way, it sounds nummy!!

Vikki Jo - I forgot to mention oh, a WEEK ago, that I Love your invites! They're adorable! My favorite flower is a daisy, and fave color is blue, so they're right up my alley! On the catnip note, my kitties are absolute addicts! We grow it fresh in the summer, and then dry some of it for the winter time. During the summer though, we'll mix some of the new leaves with the leftovers from the prior winter, and I'll mash them together in my mortar & pestle. The funny part is, I use my mortar when I cook also, and my fatcat comes running every time she hears the tink tink sound! Then she gives me "stink eye" when I show her it's just oregano and not catnip! I can just see her looking at you too! Very funny!
OH I also have Spearmint growing out here, I never realized that's what it was until the other day.

I just finished a stack of grad-party invites. The only request was that it have a Polar Bear and the color purple. I guess the Polar Bear is their school mascot, but I think they turned out pretty cute! I tried to keep the colors more grown-up so it didn't look like a kids birthday party. LOL I didn't think the 18 year old would appreciate it!
I honestly can not remember the last card I MADE!
That's so bad!

1. I must wear matching underwear. If I don't the whole day goes wrong
2. I only use white toilet paper, paper towel amd tissues. I would rather use tissues or even paper towel if the toilet paper is patterned or coloured, or visa versa.
3. When hanging out the clothes I have the underwear in the middle, the pants on the next row, the shirts on the next row and the sheets, towels and tea towels on the outside. If the boys hang out the washing I have been know to go and change it to the 'correct' way.
4. My wardrobe is in colours. Shirts, then skirts, pants and finally dressed and coast, but all in their colour range.

Does anyone have any odd things like this, or am I just more mental than I think? Or have I just excluded myself from any further 'No More Drama' threads?
First thing.. no you can't exclude yourself by admitting you are just like us! LOL

I am so with you on the hanging clothes. Also with fixing them when someone else does the laundy! OMG I always thought I was ab it OCD!

I don't think pattern Toilet Paper is available here, not since what the 1970's???
Paper towels, yes, they come all decorated, sometimes they even have a partial recipe on them, which annoys the stuffing right out of me! LOL

1. Toilet Paper goes on the holder.. not next to it! grrr I am not fussy about over or under with it as long as you put it on. and don't leave just a tiny square so you don't have to refill it!

2. Drives me batty when the can crusher and basket or sitting in the kitchen and 'someone' (i won't mention any names) stacks empty soda cans on the counter! We recycle, and I just threw about 20 cans in the basket un-crushed. He asked me why I am not crushing them. I simply said.. "oh I thought it was broke since it doesn't work for you!

3.Drives me batty when his parents use a garden tool of mine and then just leave it where ever... but if Clint or I use something of theirs.. they will say "that's not where you found that"

4Ya know what those sound more like vents than idiosyncracies.
Okay here's 1.. my scrap books are sorted by year and on the other shelf by family.
2. My SU stamps are sorted and labeled on the book shelf by size, but my House Mouse and Clings are in drawers by theme or topic
3. My clothes are sorted by season and then by .. wear in public or work in at home. Clint thinks that is very wierd!
4. My craft room is organized by walls, East wall is tutorials, educational, computer and stereo. North Wall is cutting stuff (cricut, big shot, trimmer, scissors basket), West Wall stamping table, inks and stamps, South wall is tv and tools, embellishments, punches
5. my craft papers are sorted by, local scrap store, and SU. scraps too!

Okay now that in print just made me feel a bit nutso! LOL

I went to Barnett Dairy tonight on my way home to get some Pepper Cheese, they were giving free ice cream cones.. man was that good!

The reunion was nice.
My DD and DS were renting a car in MO to come home (I haven't seen Andy since July 200 and she gets there and they tell her she has to have a credit card, not her debit card. Because she has bad credit history from her identity being stolen in 2005
So my mom was going to use her cc over the phone and they would not take it.
Then my other DS Joe.. his gf had to go in for gall bladder surgery, and they decided to tell her she can wait until the 28th now.
My oldest sister, Patty, who I haven't seen since 2002 and one of her daughters was there. My brother and his wife (I like her, can live without him!)
I was raised partially by my sister Teresa's boyfriends family. LONG STORY!
so seeing them was nice. hard to see the ones my age, grandparents already!

One of my great nieces was trying to understand how who was related. I am gonna try to make her a tree of some sort. I have 2 family history programs on here, I should be ble to make something!

The zero and the closing parenthesis makes the smiley goofball!

My mom doesn't like my hair. Oh well. It will grow. Tom seems ok about it. I liked it longer too, but it will grow out again. Give it a couple months and it will already be down to my shoulders.

Tom just got home. 14 hours today in the heat and humidity makes for a cranky bear, but at least now he is home in the air conditioning eating supper.

I figured Clint would need some adjustments. That is totally normal. Sorry.
