They are super easy to make as long as you have a crimper, and I think I used the sticky strip (the red lined tape) for the bottom...just to make sure it holds together...

The invite is printed on Opal Raindrops Vellum

Now for my dilemmas

1. I want to figure out how to attach the ribbon to the program , and make it so it can be unties, and the Daisy stay attached. Or just glue the daisy to the bow and let them slide it off??????

2. I only have enough SU Blue Gingham ribbon left to do 4 programs!

I did not think I would use up this roll in my lifetime! LOL

Laurie can you still share some??? I will pay! Anyone?

The ribbon I got form the LSS is way darker blue and wider. I am using that on the vases and the baskets I decorated

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Hello everyone. I have a pounding headache this afternoon and nothing seems to be helping it...not even the two hour nap I took late this morning. Oh well. Hope you are all having a fabulous day. I might get a carryout pizza for supper tonight. It's 84 degrees, and I have the a/c on, but I don't want to run the oven.

Vikki, I would do the thingys last and I would use 1 per couple.

Do you want the kids at the wedding? If you do put their name on the invite, if not leave it off. It's your wedding after all!
The invites and all look great - I would never have thought of daisies. I so wish I could be there!

Mitch finally got his licience today. We went and transferred the rego for his ute into his name, organised the insurance and joined RACQ which is one of those 'clubs' where they come and help if you break down or run out of petrol etc. He was whinging about all the crap involved. I told him this was only a minor piece of what it is like to be an adult. Poor baby.

Hi All!
Hope everyone is having a great day.

DH and i watched The View this morning and caught a few quick glimpses of DS. they gave away some really awesome stuff to all of them, so i know they all enjoyed it.

we zipped out earlier today for lunch and a nice drive. stopped by 2 local farms and got some yummy stuff. gonna grill tonight and have fresh veggies too! peas&onions, steamed whole carrotts, and some cukes that i have saoking in vinegar.

the rest of the week will be run run run......so today has been a nice break!

Hi Girls,
Beautiful brisk morning here today. No wind blowing today which is a change from the last few days. Lovely day for the first day of winter. 4 weeks until my exams and 4 weeks to holidays today!!!!! Mitch is on nightshift this week and his ute is parked in the driveway, so he must have got home with no dramas. I slept like a log and didn't her him at all. So much for the Mother in me - being half asleep until he got home. I posted you all a card yesterday made with my big shot. A couple are truly awful, but I was playing with stuff in my 'scrap' pile. For those of you who get an awful one be assured you will get a much nicer one next time.
Hope you all enjoyed your day off.

ok, couple of questions!

do any of you grow mint? i have some that comes back every year (DS brought the original "mama" plant home when was in "FFA" YEARS ago!), and i am thinking about finally trying to dry some of it for Tea, or bath saoks or whatever. but i have no idea what to do???

and, have any of you ever done Glass Etching?

I know, totally unrelated questions! but i just keep forgetting to ask them LOL

i have several clear glass mugs and i thought i would give a try and if i dont do well, i'm not out much

any hints or tips? never done before!

I do. It has taken over part of the garden. I haven't done anything much with it, but am always going to. To make tea use 1 teaspoon of dried mint to each cup, and if using fresh use 3 times this amount, but make sure the leaves are bruised or chopped. I also make mint sauce - 1 bunch fresh leaves, 2 tablespoons raw sugar, 3 tablespoons malt vinegar & 1/4 cup boiling water. Chop mint finely (Iuse my mortar and pestle) and add to a bowl with everthing else except the water. Pour the boiling water over and serve at room temperature. Another good sauce is 1 mango peeled and pureed, 1 tablespoon chopped mint (or finely chopped or morter and pestle), freshly ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon vinegar. Combine in a saucepan, heat gently and serve.

Hope that helps

Beleive me, you will agree if you get the really horrid one. I placed them in envelopes and sealed them, then wrote the addresses on, so I have no idea who got what......

Kerriann, you are so silly. I love any card I get. honest! You put your time in it, and it's from the heart. I stamp crooked (especially since my eye surgery), and adhere my layers crooked. just you wait and see!

Yes I grow mint.. it was called CATNIP MINT. My one cat that I gave to my dd would chase you down for it when dried! LOL
Max and Louie want nothing to do with it.

Glass Etching, yep. I clean the glass, use your Embossing Buddy (or a dryer sheet) to rub over it, stamp an image with versa mark, emboss it, careful the heat gun gets the glass preety hot!
then smear the stuff over it, let sit about 10 minutes, rinse. scrape the embosssing off.

Oh, I used CLear Contact Paper as a boundry!

I address my envelopes at Christmas time, lay them face down, then just stick a card in each. THen I go back a personalize the greeting or whatever, I always think.. oh I shouldn't send THAT card to THAT person. LOL

If there is a flaw, which there always is. We are far from perfectionist around here! RIGHT?

My bestie is about to be a Grandmother. Her 19 year old has been in labour all morning. I am very excited, although a bit sad, as she is such a young Mum. I have known her since she was 7 years old. Can't wait to be able to call my friend Grandma though!

Tom and I are not fond of them, but Jason loved the Manwich BBQ flavor (not the original). It would go on sale for $1 a can, and I would make that and let him take the rest for lunch. He was like....OMG that is so good. Whatever. I would prefer a PB&J anyday!

I would go more for a recipe that has tomato sauce/paste in it vs. ketchup. But that is just my preference. I would think just ketchup is too sweet.

Thanks for the etching tips!

i think my mint is spearmint

McCormicks (SP) makes a sloppy joe mix. comes in an envelope and i think you add a can of tom paste to it. its pretty good. i add onions and sometimes diced bell pepper to it too.
we use ground turkey instead of beef.

you can find the mix in the spices isle
