Default Going to See Bill Cosby Live tonight!

I finally get the rest of my Birthday present tonight. My DH bought two tickets to see Bill Cosby Live tonight at the Millacs Grand Casino. I can't wait to go. We had to dredge through 22 years of not going out unless it included the kids and now we take off whenever we want and whereever we want to go and no one gets an explaination anymore. Growing old with someone special has it's advantages after all.

I heard that he's making some political statements lately that are ruffling some feathers. Let us know what he talks about.

I saw Bill Cosby live a few years ago. It's like sitting in your living room with an old friend telling you stories. Wonderful evening!

As for his "political" stuff, the things I have been hearing lately is that he has said African-American parents must start taking charge of their children and stop expecting everyone else to do it for them.

Duh!

But this applies not only to African-American parents. And it's not a new concept. He's been saying this for decades. Why are people upset now?

I've seen him and he is great. I laughed all evening. He also will leave you with "food for thought" and you will remember it for many years. Enjoy, he has a great show.

OH - I WANT TO GO TOO!!!!!!!!

I need to get a copy of the HBO Bill Cosby Live at 40! I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard as I did when I watched that! The scary part is I was only 28 when I saw it and I could really relate to what he was talking about.

Couple of suggestions - take some tissues for when you laugh so hard that the tears start flowing and consider wearing depends in case you go past the tears stage

Have fun!

I saw him quite a few years ago at BYU. He was hilarious. Make sure you've emptied your bladder beforehand. He will have you rolling! Have so much fun! Kim

Default Bill Cosby

Just saw him last weekend for my birthday celebration with my husband. FYI - if you're in the front row - bring a camera. He picks out some audience members to talk to and joke with, then poses for pictures with them. He was great. Nothing political to ruffle feathers - before he started, he asked for rounds of applause to remember the troops overseas and their families. Have fun!

That was when he was addressing a college, not at one of his performances. Big difference. He's a smart man and knows not to make the statements he made to a paying audience that's just looking for a laugh.

I saw him 20 years ago and it is really hard to believe it's been that long. He was funny then and I'm sure he's only gotten funnier!! You will have so much fun!!

Default Going to See Bill Cosby Live Tonight!!!!!

Just got home from the show, I laughed so hard, I cried and almost wet my pants. He is such a blast. He did a little wife bashing, but all in good fun....he said men are just stupid and they should accept it. Or the wife will just keep letting him know over and over again. My DH laughed to hard at that one and gave me a little bump in the arm.....I'm not that way. He's not stupid, just a bit hardheaded. It did make me think of all the times he will ask me to get something for him and for years I did. Until I realized his legs weren't broken!!!!!!
I'm glad I had to wait a month and a half to see it...well worth the wait. I hope my pictures turn out...couldn't use the digital, we were too far away for that one. Had to use the good old zoom on the 35mm.
I loved the fact that it was just me and DH that went...our adults kids didnt want and couldn't get tickets. It was like having a date again, and after 21 years together, it was really fun. I think he's a keeper afterall.

LeAne - so glad to hear your date went so well!

I'll have to see if I can locate some kind of Bill Cosby schedule and find out if he's coming out this way!

I just absolutely LOVE Bill Cosby!!!!! I am so jealous but glad you had a wonderful time. I read his book called something like..."You are what you eat, and I'm scared!" Hilarious! I'm only 31 and it was geared to the boomers but I peeed my pants (this was before surgery) lol
