Question glass lids on cookware - oven safe?

I have stainless steel cookware and the website says "pans are oven safe" but does not say anything about the glass lids that come with it. I want to try a new recipe that calls for putting a Dutch oven in the oven -- ok the pan is fine but the lid???

Any advice?

(I did email the company but it takes 2-3 days for a reply.)

I would say no. I mean, they are probably fine, but we recently bought new pots and pans and I specifically was looking for oven-safe lids and handles and didn't end up with glass lids. You could always move it into a coringinware or something?

Good luck!

I do not have a dutch oven, nor do I have ovensafe cookware (well, cookware with oven-safe lids. I have made recipes that said they required a dutch oven by starting them on the stove and moving them to an oven-safe casserole, or moving them to a crock-pot and finishing the recipe that way, and have had good results either way. If you're going to need browning, I suggesting moving the "stuff" to an oven-safe casserole.

Just cover your pan with foil and seal it well.
