Encouragement Poetry needed badly

for a 20 year old friend who was in an accident and is paralized from the waist down, does anyone have a poem that would be encouraging other than footprints?
I would like to give him one or two to help him get through his day.

My heart so goes out to your young friend! I can't imagine what he must be going through right now. While it's easy enough for those of us dealing with so much less adversity to point to "success stories" of those who've overcome incredible odds, my heart trembles at the thought of facing it head on. The following has been a source of comfort for me many times (and I'm SO not religious in the traditional sense!). I learned of it reading about Corrie TenBoom who survived the concentration camps. HTH

My life is but a weaving

here's one of my favorite bible verses - this one has comforted me through some very hard times ~
. . . for I know the plans I have for you
says the Lord
plans to prosper you and
not to harm you
plans to give you hope
and a future . . .
I have a terrible memory for these things so I'm sorry I can't tell you where in the bible to find it, but I'm sure someone in SCS land knows.
