Where is everyone? It's been snowy here this weekend, so I've been nesting inside. Finished one baby sweater and now making a little baby dress. What's everyone else doing?

I'm still working on a ripple afghan with the Lion Brand Hometown yarn, but I usually only work on it during DD's basketball practice. I don't get much done there, though, since one of the player's sisters is learning to crochet and I spend quite a bit of practice time helping her. It's sorta fun to teach her though, since she seems so determined to learn. I also plan to make a monkey of sorts.

I have a couple different baby blankets (one crochet bag in the family room for when I am there and another in the living room for when I am in there) on the go, plus some kitchen towels that I finally sewed up the tops on so I can crochet toppers for them(these are what I try to do on Ladies day- I can get about 8-10 of those done on a Wednesday. And then I have another bag of crochet cotton ready to go when we travel- I can't just sit still ever- I have to work on something- could be because I always have another project on the go. lol- But I lost some crafting time this year due to illness, so my goal for this year is to pick up my hooks more often-- and complete everything I have started- so that I will have my totes fully stocked for the craft sales in the fall. I have six scarves done now yeah- just need hats to match- but for those I need concentration- guess I will have to start them while my daughter is at school- alas- there is still stamping, scrapping, and painting to be done lol. Time flies when you are having fun.lol
Isn't is crazy, you mean. LOL We'll be here cheering you on with all your projects.

I have only 2 projects going right now. One is a ripple afghan done in single crochet which I have been working on for a long time. I just do a little here and there because I get bored with it. I am also working on a scarf for my neighbor's son to match his jacket. I am doing it in half double crochet, and alternating sections of red and gray.
Yay! Another attic girl. LOL

Can't wait to see when your done.

It's sweet of you to help her. A couple of my cousins kids want to learn. I need to set up some time to teach them.

Sorry I've been MIA girls. My grandpa passed away this last week & I've been super busy with family stuff. I've barely had a minute to hook.

I'm so sorry, Shelley. Grandpa's are special. That yarn will be there when you're ready. Thinking of you...

I finished the baby sweater. Gave it to my coworker today. She really liked it. The sleeves really gave me a problem. Am now going back to making covers for my Swifter. At least until I hook up with my friend who has other baby sweater patterns.

Good afternoon ladies. Lazy morning for me. I do have to get some grocery shopping done today, but that's about it. I hope to get some hooking in as well.

Shelley, are you getting this snowstorm up there? We survived grocery shopping yesterday, but it was crazy! With the snow forecast, Walmart looked like Christmas all over again. They were completely sold out of lots of things. I should have paid better attention to the weather reports this week so I could have had it done before. Oh well. We are all in and hibernating now - me with my yarn. Hope you got some yarn time in yesterday.

Nope. Not a flake to be seen here. It's cold though. 18 degrees. brrrr Glad you guys are snuggled in all safe & warm.

I've been working on my mom's ripple afghan. I'm about half done.

I have almost completed a baby dress. Just have to put a little trim on the bottom and I can say it was a day well spent. It's good to be stuck home sometimes.

Sorry I haven't been on much girls. I am bummed right now. On thursday night my pinky & ringfinger on my left hand started tingling. Like when you bump your funny bone. They are still this way. I went to the doctor yesterday & she thinks its just inflamation in my wrist pinching a nerve, so I'm taking ibuprofen & not crocheting all week to see if it helps.

Have you been leaning on your left elbow more than usual or sleeping with your arm bent? I have had the same issue and was told I have ulna nerve entrapment.

Bummer. It's good to rest, but no crochet is tough. Hopefully, your nerve irritation will resolve quickly. If it doesn't though, find a doc that does upper extremity (usually orthopedics) and they can give you some good gentle stretches or resources to get you on track. Don't pretend it away. That's what I like to do... and it doesn't work.

Or maybe carpal tunnel?? Although probably not. Mine caused numbness at night mostly. I had trouble knitting or crocheting for any length of time until I had surgery in Dec. Still don't have full dexterity back, but it is better! Hopefully your problem can be taken care of quickly and easily (not surgically!).

On a side note, although I taught myself how to crochet, I don't feel very comfortable that I'm doing it correctly, so I'm taking a class at JoAnn's tonight! YEA!! I probably could have skipped the 101 and went straight to the 201 class, but I wanted to make sure I don't miss any of the basics. I can't believe the trouble I've had picking this up! I taught myself to knit just a couple of years ago and am advanced enough to cable, etc. But the crochet is kicking my hiney!!

I am making the tiny turtle, it's all the way at the bottom of the page.
I hope I learn enough in class to make some of these!! SOOO stinkin' cute! My cousin is a turtle fanatic, so of course I'd have to make her one!! (plus she crochets, so I gotta show her that I can do it, too!)
And the ugly troll looks kinda like those dolls that TY released a few years back...(beanie baby dolls, I think they were called?)
