Hey, is anyone on here from Southern CA? I am moving out there in 3 weeks. Got any tips for living? Any good restuarants? Any tips for saving money in the land of the sunshine tax? I am moving to the south suburbs of Los Angeles.
Im in So. Cal. I live in San Bernardino Cty and work in Orange Cty. I dont have much advice on money saving in So Cal (I am a stamper u know) But, I love to eat out and might be able to recommend some places to eat. What area are we talking about? I have friends in the Sherman Oaks/ Burbank area.
I live in La Mirada (between Whittier and Fullerton right on the LA/Orange County line). I help graduate students relocate to La Mirada, so I might be able to give you some advice depending upon the area you are plan to move to in LA. Unfortunately for you, I am relocating soon to Charlotte, NC. In the mean time, ask away! Email or PM me!
My DH got a new job and they will be moving us at the end of December. DH was born and raised in northern CA and we have been living in LA for about three years now. Never thought we'd leave LA or CA because DH was heading into sound for film but then suddenly got this great offer doing sound for a radio program. I have heard a number of people moving from CA to NC. Strange!
Wow, a lot happens when you leave the computer for a couple of hours!!! I am moving to Bellflower. I am renting a studio house. I am single with no kids.
I recognized some of the cities you guys are talking about. You all are so helpful!!!
Hey - you'll be here in time for the Stampin' Event thatJoleen and Joy are planning in Ontario in September! You need to come so we can all meet
Thanks, Jami. I was just thinking the same thing when I started reading the thread. Jen, it will be great for you to come to the event. We can help you get started in Southern California! (I hope to see all of your SoCal'ers out there! )
Wow, that is coming up quick! I will try. I am not sure I will be ready for a big event right after I move...there are swaps there? I know I won't have anything to swap. I can barely fit all of my stamping stuff to move much less swap cards!
You guys all sound so nice and I hope that I will get to meet you sometime.
Bummer, I cant make it to the Ontario event. Four weddings in one weekend. Can you believe it?! And it is just minutes from my house. Please keep me in mind for future events. I have a get together at my house every month. (im not a demo) But, its not enough. Have fun ladies.
I decided to move because I visited California for the first time 8 years ago and I fell in love with it. I know that a lot of people dream to live in California, but it's different than that. I went to college in IL, but did my student teaching in Bellflower (Valley Christian) because I wanted to experience CA living...that sealed it.
I am a little scared because I am moving 2000 miles away from all of my family.
You guys are just the GREATEST!! I love how threads on here just take off. It is so different from the SU! site where it has to go through the moderator and if you post at night it doesn't go on until the next day.
I am not so scared to keep stampin' and demonstrating in CA anymore because you are all so kind and loving.
