I need to start keeping track of my downloads better!
Remember how I didn't have anything fall?
Well, as I was going through the list from SU! of ALL my downloads, getting ready for the 50% off sale next week (so I didn't duplicate), I found that I had the Autumn Spice download! It seems I downloaded it on one computer, but not the other!!!
So, not only do I need to keep track of what I've purchased, I need to keep track of where I've downloaded it! ACK!

Digital Scrapbooking Day is this Saturday (11/3/12)! We’re starting a little early to get all the digi goodness out of it as we can!
We’ll have 6 challenges in total, starting with the first one tonight (11/1/12) in just a few minutes— 6 p.m. EST. Challenges will be posted in the Digi Scrap Challenge forum here:
I flooded the kitchen today, so I've missed a lot of creative time cleaning up. maybe later after the kids are in bed ...
Oh yucky Angela! Challenges will all be posted by bedtime, and they aren't all tough! Join us this week - or as soon as you get the chance. We're anxious to see your fun pages!
Yes Terri! As soon as I saw those, I figured you'd be happy!
I'm not going to buy them (today ).
I'll have to find Ds' basketball photos.
But the Game Day album could be used for so much more ... like Theatre Plays!

If anyone has been thinking of buying Adobe Photoshop Elements, Costco is having a great sale between 11/08/12 through 11/25/12.
$30 manufacturer’s discount:
Online Price $79.99
Less -$30.00
Your Price $49.99
It also includes a BONUS Scrapbooking CD by Linda Sattgast from Digital Scrapper (she's a great teacher!) plus *50 FREE Prints (I think this part is only offered by Costco.)
i bought pse10 a year ago and pse9 the year before that and forgot i had either. i finally installed pse10 here a couple of months ago and installed the pse9 at work for my boss. i wonder what pse11 has that i cant live without? i was using pse6 and truly there was not that much difference between 6 and 10 that i have been able to find or at least remenber this morning. but i love my photoshop.
I own, but never installed 10 because my HDs are kind of full and I didn't want to potentially cause any trouble. I don't know what 11 has that makes it worthwhile, but I figure if someone wants to get started with PSE, they might as well have the newest one. The extra learning CD is a nice extra too.
I plan on sticking with 9 until the day comes when I have to upgrade my computer!

Angela...I notice you use a program called Craft Artist Professional. I've never heard of that program before. How long have you used it and what's it like?

I see you have an avatar now--it's nice to "see" you, Lori!
Hello Wendy. I've been using Craft Artist Professional for a couple of years, I've used it's predecessors' before that.
I learned to scrap using a desktop publisher by the same company (Serif), and then when they crated Digital Scrapbook Artist I switched to that as it had more specialised features than the desktop publisher. A few years ago they added extra stuff and renamed it Craft Artist (I personally don't think the rename was a smart move, but that's not my decision).
What's it's like? It's really really quick and easy to use and learn. My eldest started out with DSA and has now been upgraded to Craft Artist. She's been digital scrapbooking solo since she was 4 1/2, before she could even read, it's that easy to use.
There is a free downloadable cut down version called Craft Artist Compact. It is well able to do all the basics. The masking, blending, stencils, advanced shadows, and fancy scissor/punch cutting tools etc are disabled in it and you'd need the full (Professional) version for that.
Being a bespoke scrapbooking/crafters software package it has everything you need to do available in a mouse click and is much more suited to scrapbooking quickly than something like Photoshop, and a small fraction of the price. I don't know how it compares with the other scrapping packages around as I haven't tried them. I do know it has more features than My Memories Suite does, as I was doing something with a user of that and she couldn't even do some of the basics that can be done in Craft Artist Compact in My Memories.
I can achieve the same results as all my PS CS using friends can get so I think Craft Artist Professional is fully featured as well as simple to use.
Serif have just created an upgrade (Craft Artist Professional 2) that has more features in it designed to help paper crafters produce printables for their projects easier, one of the new features does automatic 3D decoupage assembly stuff. I haven't upgraded yet.

Hmmm, I'd never heard of it, but it sounds pretty good! Maybe some beginner digi-scrappers might want to check it out. I'm fine with Photoshop Elements (and also own MDS), and I know several of the other gals here use MDS, but it sounds like another good option for newbies if it's easy to learn. Thanks for sharing in depth with us!
There's a new weekly challenge blog up - MDS Monday! The designers are all SU demos who will use exclusively MDS, but you are welcome to create with any digital software. Check it out!

This is great, Terri! I checked out the new site and one of the things I love about it is they have quite a few MDS How To videos and tutorials in there already!
I am definitely planning to participate. Thanks for sharing the info!
gosh, i am still working on the circle layout from last week, i am getting behind and these people think its thanksgiving or something and want a meal!my shop is closed today thru sunday, so i hope to get some scrapping done this morning and then start the cooking. my son's sweet sarah flew in last night from buffalo, my daughter will be here late morning tomorrow from iowa. this coming year will most probably be another year of change as we will not know where my daughters call will be and i am feeling like these holidays will be our last "normal" ones. we have a big weekend planned. my son and daughter are getting small matching tattoos on friday. (doesnt every family celebrate with tattoos?) my husband and i do black friday shopping, not to buy anything, just to drink coffee and eat donuts and people watch. generally people are in the spirit and i look at all those people out and about as the sun comes up and i think maybe the economy/world is not so tragic afterall. and on saturday we are all going into the city to shop/look/walk and have a nice meal compliments of mom and manny of course. and sunday sarah flys back and my daughter drives home. sooooooooooo.... if i dont scrap something this very minute it probably wonts happen at all. happy thanksgiving.

I recieved my printed 12 x12 digi pages which were my first attempts that was inspired by you ladies here. I cannot thank you enough for encouraging me (& others) to slowly and happily jump into the world of digi. I was amazed at the quality of pages and my daughter said they should be framed. wow now that's a compliment worth much more than any amount of $
