Here are just a few places I check regularly. You can google them. I have several of them bookmarked on my computer for easy access.
Gingerscraps has a Welcome Wagon where you can download freebie kits from several of their designers.
In addition, they offer a free kit monthly--also acquired through a daily download.
Gingerscraps also usually has one or two free templates offered to play in their template challenges.
Peppermint Creative also has a free template download at the beginning of each month, plus a freebie kit that changes a few times a year,

Divine Digital offers two daily download freebie kits per month--one from the 1st to 15th and the other from the 16th to end of month.
Digital Designers has weekly challenges that offer freebie templates and other stuff.
Digiscrap Depot has tons of freebies by all kinds of designers.]
Another site with freebies! Molly, our hostess this week for the Digiscrap Challenge said this about the site where she got her kit for the challenge pages:
"Digitals... great site - featured Designers with free daily downloads and great CAKE (create a kit event) sales once a month - one going on right now!"
There is a HUGE MEGA kit called Take A Break that Stuff to Scrap put together. You can start on my Facebook page and it is linked to each designer that has a part....

Thanks for the reminder for us, Jeanne! (And hello to you! Haven't been to the card of SCS for a while!
Thanks for this heads-up, Terri! I go to PC quite often, and they've had the Peanut Butter & Jelly kit as a freebie for a long time. They must have just changed it recently. Just went there and downloaded it. You're right, it's a great kit! :p
NOTE: I just downloaded these and discovered that they are stacks of 3 or 4 frames/pics, as if they've been tossed on top of each other, kind of overlapped. Not what I expected, but still cool.
Google Scrap Art Studiofor some cool stuff. There are a few freebies & regular special deals.
FREE template every week posted on Mondays. After the weekends the template goes on sale for Charity.
Occasional newsletter freebies and there is a nice big free kit for new subscribers to it.
There is a prize draw each month for participating in the Friday Challenge to win $5 to spend in the store.
Their "big" monthly special is usually launched the 2nd Wed of the month and called Color Play (a bit similar to the Digitals CAKE but with a more artsy style).
Stampin' Up! has three FREE downloads Oct 29 thru nov 5. They are cute, I just downloaded them and they are for MDS or other programs, so not just stampin up users. One is a kit with a template and papers and stamps and embellishments, one is Christmasy, and the other is a two page template and all the elements used to create it. you can get them at my su site, or any other demos site.

I've decided to have the BIGGEST SALE of the year and it only lasts for 24 hours so I wanted to give you advanced notice! I hardly ever do store wide sales so you won't want to miss it! Scrapbookgraphics.com :: Studio Girls :: Tangie Baxter
If anyone has been thinking of buying Adobe Photoshop Elements, Costco is having a great sale between 11/08/12 through 11/25/12.

Did you see the freebie download from Stampin Up today? It's a cute chalkboard style tag download, and it doesn't appear to have an end date as of yet.
You can win $100 worth of BasicGrey digi products!!
Did you know BasicGrey has digital products as well as traditional? Well, they do!
I just discovered that Basic Grey has this post on Facebook, so if you're a FB user, you might want to "like" their post:
"If we reach 20,000 Likes before Christmas, we'll select one lucky fan at random to win a $100 shopping spree to basicgrey.com. Spend it on yourself or buy something special for those on your list - the choice is yours!"
Update: Oops! This one is cute, but not free. It was the download of the month if you're a paid Gold member...sorry!
There a super cute FREE Collab kit at Digi Shop Talk called Candy Coated Christmas, available until the end of December. It is really cute and fun colors too. Go to post #1 at this link:
Divine Digitals has a free daily download "Countdown to 2013" from now until Dec. 31st. Each download expires when the new one gets posted, so you'll miss out on Dec. 16, but you can get the rest:
oh my garsh wendy, we switched phone plans and the kids and my husband have always had smart phones and they decided i needed a smart phone. so of course it syncs better with gmail. aol is very old school, i guess. i am pretty good at pse, i run this company using my computer for everything, i've fixed viruses, you name it. and i can make this phone do everything but make a freakin phone call! yesterday morning even thou it was on silent this horrible alarm went off, all the phones in the house. it was a blizzard warning. i jumped up to look outside and nothing. the warning was due to start in 9 hours. i thought it was the end of the world. not sure why it was neccessary to warn me in the middle of the night. i guess they didnt consider that menopausal women wouldnt be able to go back to sleep!
That's too funny (or maybe NOT from your standpoint ), Lori. I still have a plain ol' simple phone with minutes I purchase when I need them. I've heard stories from friends about the weather warnings. Guess it just takes time to get used to those extra "perks"! Being it was 12-21-12, I can understand why it was extra startling. Geez...
Windstorms, monsoons, flash floods, no tornados. In northern Arizona they do have snow quite often and do get blizzard warnings.
Flash floods are probably the worst in the Phoenix area; there's slow drainage, so a lot of rain coming down can cause the washes (low spots) to fill up and they look deceiving shallow, but they can be deep enough to submerse a car. Some of them are on roads and people have died by going through them. Most roads that have them have warning signs that say not to proceed through if raining. There is actually a "Stupid Motorist Law" that says a driver can be cited for driving across a flooded wash when warning signs are posted. The fines and rescue costs can be steep!
