Gallery Gazing
I have always admired one of our very own because it is a rarity that she does a digi page without giving the recipe so that the same page can be done traditionally. Of course I am talking about Anavon!
We have so many new players this year, and we have been doing so much gallery gazing that I thought it would be fun to go out and scraplift a traditional page digitally!
So my challenge to you is to either scraplift one of your own traditional pages from your gallery or scraplift one of the many awesome traditionally scrapped pages that have been done recently and are posted in the galleries here at SCS.
When you finish please provide a link to the page you lifted and the page you created!
Happy Scrappin'
Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
OH and I nearly forgot!! In order to give you a little extra motivation to play-I will be awarding the best scraplift person one of my newly made albums to alter!! Since this is a late date post for this challenge I will choose the winner of this next Friday Feb 20th! here is a link to a pic
Make sure you add DGC015 to your keywords (additional keywords are OK, just separate them with commas), and PLEASE post a link here in this thread; we would NOT want to miss it! Also, if you aren't a FAN CLUB member, please observe the NO UPLOAD on SUNDAY rule!

Good Morning. Saw your post last night Valerie and it prodded me to download my new PSE7 software...unfortunately, every time I go into Create and try to do anything in that spot, PSE shuts down. So....I've no clue. Hope I didn't spend a lot of $ for something that won't operate on my PC. Perhaps there are too many photos? I ended up importing in over 3,000 pics? I figured out how to look at all of them and deleted over 200 of them so far from the Catalog while trying to put them into albums. I thought it would be a piece of cake to do something simple but was very disappointed:( Will have to work on it some more today once my dgs gives the computer up from Webkinz!
Something I read somewhere said that PSE can really be clogged up-and then shut down if it has to work with so many images-I installed ACDSEE to keep photos in and I am running PSE7 on Vista and all is well-dont know if that will help-do you have Best Buy nearby? Their Geek Squad is awesome for help

I have a page in progress--hope to get it done after work tonight. I actually have another that I started first, but I'm not happy with the color scheme, so we'll see about that one. With any luck, I'll get at least the one finished and uploaded tonight!
Cant wait to see! I think it is fun to digi lift traditional pages! Now that I have learned how to use brushes and burn for the grunge look- I am an even happier scraplifter!

For the paper pieces, I cropped 12x12 paper, then used an edge distressing *action* to roughen up the smooth edges. An *action* is like a little macro that automatically does all the steps in PSE necessary to accomplish a desired result, in this case--to roughen the edges. First time I've used an *action* -- it worked pretty well, so I'll probably use others in the future.
This was a blast--thanks for the great challenge, Valerie!

It was on the Atomic Cupcake website. I'd never tried it, but when I wanted to distress the edges, I figured it was time to find out what it was all about! Fun--once you unzip and upload, it does all the work for ya! Pretty cool!
