Default Great scrapbook online printing

I just received my first order of 12x12 scrapbook pages from Persnickety Prints. I'm am super thrilled with the quality--and they were super fast! I think they do an awesome job and are really eager to make you happy by doing the best job they can.

I've never had 12x12 pages printed before (I usually print 8x8 on my printer and back them with 12x12 cardstock or designer paper) and I love how these prints look. I'd highly recommend Persnickety!

I'm not affiliated with them in any way--just happy with their work!

Not sure exactly what you're asking. I use PSE9 and I save it as a large jpeg file which flattens the image so everything stays together when I upload.

I haven't had any pages printed yet, but when I do I want 12x12. I see that site's price is 1.99. Is that a pretty good deal? I haven't shopped around yet.

Sorry my question was not clear. I am using My Digital Studio, and with a little more looking I found out how to export it as a jpeg. Uploaded it, put in my order, and got an email saying they were shipped in less than 24 hours! I ordered 8 x 8 pages, can't wait to see how they came out! The price was excellent, too. Thanks for posting this!

There are companies that occasionally offer deals cheaper than $1.99, and probably Persnickety has sales too, but I think it's a decent price and I know I got good quality from them. If I find another place that has 12x12's at a cheaper price, I might order a few just to see. It's tough to just place an order for 1 or 2 they often have a flat shipping rate. I'm not sure if some companies also offer specials on shipping sometimes too. There are quite a few companies that do 12x12's.

All I can say is I'm impressed with the quality of the 12x12 matte finish pages I got back from Persnickety.

I've had digi pages (yes, you have to flatten the image into a jpeg) printed before from scrapbooksplease.com as they do $0.99 sales for 12x12. They have one going on right now. I've been super pleased with them. I always make sure all of my journaling and such is 3/4" inside the page for all printing sites.

That's a great tip about the journaling. Not sure I would have thought of that! I think I could hand 99 cents since I have a lot of pages to print if I start doing that. Is the coloring good with scrapbooksplease? On another site, I read that someone was very impressed with Persnickety vs. Shutterfly for their page printing due to the coloring being more like what the pages should be.

Did they print the whole page as it appeared on your computer? I've found some companies seem not to print all the way to the edge, or they have a funny size meaning that edges get chopped off unless you make the page smaller to start with....

Persnickety printed my 12x12's to the edge (beautifully!), but if you make a book with any company, you have to leave some blank space around the edges--especially the edges that will be bound, or you'll lose part of the photo in the binding.

Thank you for all the great info...I just decided today that I'm going to try a couple more digi layouts soon. Last time I tried it I had them printed at Costco, not bad, but I was a bit unimpressed. I'm off to check out Persnickety and scrapbooksplease.

I, too, was very impressed with what I received from Persnickety Prints. Quality and timeliness were both excellent. I will likely try Ritz for printing, too, since they are less than a mile from home.
Thanks again for posting!

12x12 prints
I am new to all of this digital scrapbooking stuff and was looking at this particular online printing store. I have a question though.... when I was trying to load up my page (12X12) it was saying the resolution was bad (it had the 3 red squares b the download)? I have changed all my pics to 300 dpi but now I'm worried that they aren't going to turn out. Can someone suggest something that I can do to make the layouts ok for printing?

TIA, Nikki

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Just got back last night from Disney World!

I would suggest that you send an e-mail directly to Persnickety Prints with your questions. They are very helpful and should respond promptly. I believe they have a contact e-mail address on their site. I hope it all works out to your satisfaction!

I just sent off my first digital scrapbooking order. I read the comments here and went with Persnickety Prints. My pages were just awesome and the service was great. I didn't know what I was doing and they helped me with ordering.

Also thanks to all who share on Splitcoaststampers - I also found my scrapbooking program (My Memories Suite - and am very pleased with it) by reading comments posted here.
