Question Do downloads work with SU My Digital Studio??

You all sound like such experts on digital scrapbooking! I purchased the Stampin Up My Digital Studio and I would like to add more to it than just what SU has. Has anyone done this? If so, how do I do it? Thanks so much for helping this newbie in digi! Jackie

What are you looking to add to it? More stamps or ?

When my sister setup MDS I had to help troubleshoot the program (the publishing feature does not like satellite internet connections...)

In that research I found that the program primarily uses the directory structure and files contained in it to build its library..

essentially in your "Program Files\My Digital Studio\Components\Stamps\" directory is sub-directories for each stamp collection...

You should be able to create a directory folder called "My Stamps" (Or whatever category you want) and drop your .PNG image files into the directory.. Start (or restart) MDS and your stamps should be available...

Let me know if that helps...

Here's a great site--it has a freebie every day and lots of great designers. I especially love the kits created by owner, Royanna. The site is Divine Digital --here's the link for the freebies: January DAD | January 16 - 31 - Forums

I hadn't been to this site lately, so thanks for the reminder!!!

There's so much online these days for digi-scrappers. I remember the early days when it was hard to find anything--especially 300 dpi stuff!

I have so many freebies now (and not free stuff too!) it's mind blggling!

Something I just recently ran across (and signed up for! ) is this blog that lists free digital stamps.
Of course, you have to like the style she finds, but there have been some things that I really enjoyed. And they led to purchases - which is sort of the point, right?

Oh, also, not really a digiscrapping site - but some *very* cool info (and freebies if you sign up for the newsletter) is Kim Klassen Cafe. I took a free class of hers in December (she's all about textures, although she does have some other classes I believe) and it was AMAZING.
She teaches you a lot about adding textures to photos, blending modes, etc. It comes out looking like you spent HOURS making this artistic print. Anyway, she's running another free class.
If this is anything you're interested in, make sure to check her out!

Just stumbled on this today, not sure if it is already listed:

Everyday Mom Ideas

She has a ton of cute kits that are free.

I found a site that is more than wonderful and it has many sources of free items every day. I found a blog train on it that had over 100 designers. I followed it and downloaded more than a huge mega kit. It is called Creative Busy Hands. Please try it and let me know what you think. Kate

And here is one more site. I love it and all of her items are free. I'm not sure how to put a link in here but the name is Scrappiness Downunder. She has really pretty things. All of her kits are small so they download quickly.

Thanks for all the new links everyone! It's nice to get current stuff since I'm sure some of the earlier posts/links are outdated. There are SO many cool digi sites these days it's hard to check them all out by oneself!

I love Bethany's Elegant Word Art. I often find freebies from her on Digiscrap Depot. I like Raspberry Road Designs too.

Thanks for the link!

To include a link in a post:

1. Open a second window in your browser
2. Go to the site you want to link
3. Copy the link (http://etc...) from the top box
4. Go to first browser window containing your post
5. Paste link into message

Voila! That should do the trick!

I'm back with a new name. I got a new laptop and could NOT get onto SCS at all with it. I had to go create a new email and a new user name. I used to be KateD. Now I have to create my avatar and all. It only took me three weeks to get onto Gingerwood with it. I can get here on my old computer, but it blew out yesterday. Troubles, troubles.... I'm just happy I'm back.

If you love Little Dreamer Designs, know that Michelle Coleman has decided to close the shop on March 15. In the meantime all of her product will be 50% off. I'm very sad to see her going and I hope she comes back soon.

I was going to post this info. too -- I just received her e-mail about this yesterday. She's great and I'll miss her work. She said that she won't be selling her products after March 15th, so if anyone likes her stuff, now's the time to stock up.

I tried clicking on her site last night, but it was offline at the moment. Gonna go check it again now!

I had the same problem with her site. It was iffy this morning. I imagine there is a larger than usual amount of traffic.

Thanks for the tip! I found a few things I am going to try and pick up before she closes... whenever the store is working, that is!

I had some problems on there when the news first came out, but I placed an order 2 days ago that went thru fine, so I think it's OK now.

Default Just thought I'd share...

MaryPat_419 asked me if I had a personal list of digi sites I like since she lost her list when her computer crashed. I went through my links and came up with this list. There are SOOOO many great digi sites out there, and this certainly isn't a complete list of great sites, but it's a good start!! Most of these are listed in earlier posts in this thread.

Digi Freebies and/or other great digi-scrapping kits/information:

Digiscrap Depot (freebies collection—tons of stuff!)
Craft Crave
Creative Busy Hands Digital Scrapbooking Freebies Digital Scrapbook Faves
Bon Scrapatit (scroll down several pages—she has a list of some good freebies and other good digi tutorial sites, etc.)
Gingerscraps (free daily download)
Divine Digital (free daily download)
Peppermint Creative (freebie kits change occasionally—free template each month)
Designer Digitals (Every week they have challenges and supply free elements and templates)
freedigitalscrapbooking
scrapbookflair
Gotta Pixel (I think they have daily downloads)
Nothing But Freebies
Shabby Princess
Delicious Scraps
Mousescrappers (awesome Disney site – I know they have freebie templates w/challenges—don’t know about other freebies, but there are lots references to other sites that have giveaways, etc.)
The Blogtrain Blog (about 100 designers offer new themed kit every other month –next one is in March 2011 I think. Travel from one link to another to pick up freebies.)
Another blogtrain: LDS Blogtrain

Other great sites (not sure if they have regular freebies):

Digishop Talk
Scrappers Guide
Just So Scrappy
Shabby Miss Jenn
scrapgirls.com
Digitaldesignessentials
the Lilypad
rakscraps
scrapbook-bytes
funkyplaygrounddesigns
christinareneedesigns
sweetshoppedesigns
scrapbookgraphics
thedigichick
shabbypickledesigns
weedsandwildflowers

There are also many good digi-scrapping tutorials available on YouTube or other sites--try googling the topic you're looking for.

I have never come across reference to "tubes." I'm curious too.

I have had a great time checking out the list. One site that I like, but did not see mentioned is MY GRAFICO - DIGITAL ARTS AND CRAFTS STORE They have freebies and their regular priced items are reasonable as well.

Thanks again.
