Default there are a lot of sites

As you look through blogs, you might find trains or I think some call them Caravans... but they are a bunch of bloggers who get together and each one has a free kit or elements or something that coordinates with the rest of them. Some Trains have less then 10 "conductors" or members, but others have as many as 50. There were HUGE trains around Christmas and New Years. Some of the kits may still be available, but most are down now. Some of the people who sell kits participated with free kits on the trains too.

I'll see if I can find some of the trains that are out now. Should be some St Patty's day and Easter ones.

You will find more freebies on blogs than in some of the stores.

I like ScapGirls. ScrapGirls is rated #1 for Digital Scrapbooking Elements on TopTenReviews.com. I think the templates and graphics are amazing. I'm a graphic designer myself so I'm pretty picky. Most of the "clip-art" stuff that comes with programs or are free online are really terrible. Even if you don't want to buy anything, it's a great place to get ideas for templates.

Default Hundreds of FREE designer kits--right now!

Right now, the most awesome freebies are on
www.digiscrapaddicts.com.

They are having a designer contest (So You Think You Can Design) and they are up to FOUR weeks worth of wonderful, amazing FREE kits. There are HUNDREDS of amazing kits for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're crazy not to check them out. The contest is still on, but I don't know for how much longer, so check it out and get busy downloading those FREEBIES! You won't believe the quality of the kits.

Have fun!

If anyone out there is looking for more freebies (and aren't we all? ) the June blog train is open at the Blog Train Blog. I believe there are 77 or so stops & the theme this month is 'My Favorite Guy'. That's an awful lot of freebies that will all work together like a GIANT kit!

This week is the final round of this amazing designing contest - I have been blown away by the number and quality of kits that have been offered up as freebies over the last month. There are only about 4 more kits to be uploaded in the final round before the final voting begins and the winner is named. I've been 'collecting' digi-kits (both purchased kits and freebies) since early 2004 (I digi-scrap but I also love to use the digi-papers in my cardmaking) and I don't think I've ever seen such an awesome 'giveaway' event!! I've been filling up my EHD with these great kits...

e-scapeandscrap.net is a fun little boutique that has been steadily growing over the past 5 years. Lots of talented designers, some freebies, a great gallery for inspiration including hybrid!

Here's a lovely site with free kits every day for 30 days. You can make a page from her kits and email the page to her for voting. For me it has been a great source since I'm brand new and had no digi stuff at all before. I love that there are whole kits, in quite an array of tastes, to choose from. Check it out!

Another really cool site to watch for freebies is www.divinedigital.com

At the beginning of the year, they had given away lots of daily freebies and from 8/1-8/15 they are also giving away some very cool kits.

For templates, check out www.pencillines.com The PSE files only go back so far, but they also have lots of PDF files to check out for ideas as well.

Your pages are awesome and how nice that the site has free software you can use. I know what you mean about learning PS. I bought PSE7 for christmas for myself and it wasn't until jessicasprague.com had a free class that I actually could figure out how to use it! Now I wouldn't use anything else for the world. I bought one of her classes and with all the free tutorials on different subjects, that's probably all I'll spend on it.

Keep scrapping! You are doing beautiful work. Check out our SCS goal thread here November 2009 Scrappin' Goal Thread and join us! Even if you don't want to post your pages online, you can still join in!

I am going to give a plug for Log your Memorys the blog http://feeds.feedburner.com/LogYourMemory
and the community forum
http://logyourmemory.com/communityforum/
Lots of inspiration and a variety of digi supplies used-the guest designer brings some free supplies and some templates can be found in the forum.
It really is a place to use whatever materials you want and log your memory of the year, fun site, relatively new with a new twist to a digi scrapbooking site that also has paper scrappers uploading to the gallery

Looks like they're doing some maintenance and won't be back up until Monday. I'll be back to check 'em out then. Thanks, Valerie!!

Close to My Heart Studio J is the way to go!! You can play all you want, you only pay for the layouts you actually want to print. There are memberships starting in a couple of months to get cheaper rates, but it is pretty cool right now!

I love The Daily Digi for general information. And every month they have "The Digi Files," which is a collection of kits and other products from designers for just $5. The kits alone are usually priced above $5 each, so it's a great deal.

Also, someone mentioned Digiscrap Addicts - they also have a free e-zine that comes out on the 15th of every month. Then there's The Fix, which is $3 and contains four kits from designers around the digiscrap community. The e-zine also has coupons for various designers' stores so it's worth a look-see.
