So I started out with Creative Memories Storybook Creator - and I loved using it. It was easy, quick and still gave me enough freedom to do my own thing...now that CM went bankrupt I'm searching for the next great scrapbooking program - that's where you come in What are your favorites and why. I'll be honest right away - Adobe intimidates me! Thanks for your opinions.
I started out with a scrapbooking program and I do not even recall the name and within a month or two I found it to be very limiting. I use photoshop elements. I bought a program thru scrapgirls that included some product and 20 or 30 videos of class instruction. that was the single most helpful I have ever done for myself. there forums are awesome and if I ever have a software question I post it and within hours if not minutes I have the answer.
since the full on photoshop because available for a monthly subscription I also have that, now that's a tough program. I am learning, but I still use photoshop elements 99% of the time.

I am a photoshop elements girl-I am using PSE 12 now and it is so easy. Granted, I still have lots and lots to learn, but I feel like I can zip around pretty easily in this program. Every new addition, makes making magic that much easier!

I started out about 10 years ago with PaintShop Pro when Jasc still owned the company. I loved PSP and even used it when I started designing. I stopped at version 10 (X) and still use it quite a bit, but I've moved on to Photoshop CS5 since I mostly design these days and don't get very many layouts done. There are a lot of free tutorials out there if you want to learn just about any software. The way I learned was to just google how to do what I wanted to do and over time, I think I've got a pretty good handle on the programs.
