HOLY SHNIKES, MAN OH DAY, GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, Seriously??? DID I ACTUALLY SAY I WAS CAPABLE OF BEING A CHALLENGE HOSTESS???....THE CHALLENGE FOR ME IS NOT IN THE CARD, BUT IN THE HOSTESSING. IF YOU ARE READING THIS CHALLENGE RIGHT NOW, AND IT ACTUALLY WENT UP WHERE IT'S SUPPOSED TO GO WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO THERE, YOU NEED TO ALL SEND ME A BIG FAT CONGRATULATIONS CARD, THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY. THIS IS A LOT LIKE PERFORMING BRAIN SURGERY FOR ME.....THERE IS A FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING,,,,I FEEL LIKE INSTEAD OF LAUNCHING A COLOR CHALLENGE I AM LAUNCHING A SPACESHIP.......I AM SUCH A LAME-O BLOOMIN' IDIOT ON THE COMPUTER...and didn't i read somewhere that we aren't supposed to use capital letters on SCS, but hey, I had to express myself back there.....but look guys, I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT....ALL BY MYSELF, THIS IS ME, HOSTING THE CHALLENGE all by MYSELF!!!.....(okay, along with a little help from my buddy Vicki Dutcher who finds my lame ways amusing......good thing for me......)anyway....the colors this week are:
NOT QUITE NAVY
CAJUN CRAZE
DAFFODIL DELIGHT
And the dessert? Well what else??? Wide striped gros grain ribbon of course!! If you have no wide striped gros grain ribbon, well, first I give you my sympathy.....but then, I tell you you can substitute any gros grain ribbon, fat, skinny, polka dots, whatever!! Just have dessert!! Remember, life is short, so eat dessert first!
WEIRD COMBO, RIGHT??? Well I made my card and THEN chose the colors....and THEN I thought TO MYSELF, now THOSE are some CHALLENGING COLORS!! I was going to do my usual flower thing and do like Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizazz and actually it was Jenna who took a look at this card and said, "Oh come on, use THIS card and make it a challenge!!" So here you are with some WEIRD colors, be challenged my friends, as I have been this week!!!! Happy Stamping everyone! (STAMPING, now that's the EASY part!!)
Here are my fellow partners in stamping (and I)to show you our wares:
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC309 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here! (and if anything actually happens when you "click here", give me another big fat pat on the back....cuz I have no idea if that link will actually WORK after I post it!) NEXT time it's my turn this is gonna be a piece of cake,,,,oh yah.......
I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!!!!! (DID I MENTION, I DID IT!!!!) WHOA BABY I DID IT!! WELL, WITH A LITTLE LOT OF HELP FROM VICKI DUTCHER......BUT STILL, I DID IT!!!!! AND THE FEW CARDS I HAVE SEEN SO FAR, MY COLORS ROCK!!!! JUST SAYIN...... I THOUGHT THEY WERE WEIRD BUT THEY ROCK!!! OH HAPPY DAY, I DID IT!!!!!

Way to go Karen. I feel your pain with posting a challenge. Been there -done that and it is stressful, for sure. You done good girl. I'll try your challenge tomorrow. For now - nightie night - I'm crawling into my warm, cozy bed and watching some TV before drifting off and getting a good night's sleep.
LOL! I FEEL YOUR EXCITEMENT, KAREN! You really did do it! So proud of you, girl! It is technical and a big deal! The colors were fun to work with, too! Great combo and the dessert is fantastic!
congrats on hostessing your first challenge karen. I know from experience that it's a bit nerve wracking but your did it girl!! after I completed my card I did like working with these colors.
I LOVE not quite navy with cajun craze! Adding daffodil delight will be a fun twist for me. Fantastic color combo...thanks!!

Great job with the challenge colors and the posting of the challenge Karen!!! It's tough getting that first challenge up when you're trying to figure out how to get it all done and have a deadline of 'do it NOW!' LOL!!! I hope I remember how when I'm hosting again!
Congratulations on your first CC hosting job, Karen! A job well done, for sure. These colors were a REAL challenge, though. I had to keep it really simple, but I think I got the job done, too. (I DID it, I DID it, I really, REALLY did it!!)

LOL, I could identify with those techinical challenges myself. I had similar problems and struggles once trying to take part in a VSN. You did a great job, and although I don't have all these colors, I may see what I have that is similar. Your card is gorgeous.

Congratulations on, in fact, doing well on both your card, Karen, and the posting. You can shout it to the rooftops all you want, you clever person! I think the ban on caps is just for angry words--caps are great for joy. SO GO AHEAD!!!

BOY IS THIS LOUD...and I do mean bright It has been a "booger" to work these colors out for me...but I wanted to accomplish this...Karen was hosting today and I wanted her to know I appreciate her challenge! The stamp set is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and it is one that I won on their blog a couple of months ago...love their stamps! I had to substitute on the colors...I actually had Daffodil Delight, only because it was a WRAK from MommaPatti (aka Patti Tkacz) - thanks Patti! I used Only Orange cardstock in place of Cajun Craze. The ink is Not Quite Navy, Crushed Curry, VersaColor Green Tea and Paprika, and Encore Metallic Gold. It was actually a lot of fun but it was painstaking at times to make all the colors work Thanks again Karen..great job!
A big Congratulations to you for doing a great job. And be thankful for Vicki!! Most of the people in MY life - except for my sis, lacyquilter - are very impatient with MY lame computer ways. And someday I will be famous because Melody will have helped me. I think your colors are really funky and your card is awesome. And someday maybe even I will get brave and do a color challenge.
