Standard Expectations for a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round. * Please keep in mind this term runs through the BIG end of the year holidays!*
CAS Fall Design Team Schedule (September - December 2012)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. If you would like only to be considered as a guest designer, please let us know on the thread and/or in the comment section of your card when uploading.
TIP: This is a contest for CLEAN & SIMPLE. We all push the definition once in awhile and while we LOVE to see people change things up and see the challenge in different ways, it makes it difficult to judge for the design team. This is why in this case we lean towards the conservative CAS designs.
Advice: Please remember that everyone who participates wants very badly to be on the design team. The reason why Jen started the guest designers was so that more could get involved. That said, there will always be disappointments. Please remember it also comes with more opportunities. This happens every 3 months. Four times a year is great for this type of event! To do it more often would be too stressful. These events take a lot of time and Jen and I always loved doing them. And it's easier and happier when everyone is a good sport. We do this for YOU! (In fact, the CAS challenge was the very first challenge to have a design team!) We want as many people as possible to experience being on the team. Some people may have to wait longer than others, but waiting builds perseverance and strength. Please have fun!!!
Photos: Please remember the clearer the photo of your card is, the better it will look. Make it stand out and make us say "WOW!" Photo software programs have editing options. The most important ones for us are the lighting and sharpness features.
don't worry about that...it's just ideas to get you thinking! It doesn't really have anything to do with sports...you can use any materials, stamps and stuff!

I have posted challenge #2! Normally we would have narrowed the field down to the top 10 but this way everyone gets to play in 2 challenges! We will pick the top 10 to participate in the final challenge on Sunday August 26th. We will post the top 10 and the challenge around 8pm...see you then!

I'm with Melina - too much going on with the start of school for me. (Who signed me up to be on the pta board??) I can't even find my desk top right now - and I'm a clean freak when it comes to my desk :(
I've been waiting for challenge #3 to be posted for an hour. I have a wedding this weekend and I was hoping to to my third card tonight before I leave for the wedding bright & early tomorrow morning. Can anyone update me on this? Thanks in advance

Stalking myself ladies...I work 2 - 12 hour shifts this weekend and was hoping to find out either way tonight. Wonderful work in the galleries for each of the challenges!

After looking through the gallery I can understand why they haven't announced anything yet... The cards that you ladies made were just fantastic. I wish you all the best of luck!!!
Having 2 daughters and knowing how much work is involved when you are Mom of the bride, the LAST thing I would be looking for is to make a card!! But maybe it keeps you calm, cool and collected? Best wishes to the happy couple.

Thankfully, the happy couple has done a lot of the work! I've also had the distraction of a kitchen remodel the past couple of weeks in addition to a semi- crisis with our 18 year old who 2 days before he was due to leave decided to finally tell us that he didn't want to go to college. The card making is definitely a sanity control for me. I have one more project to do for the wedding after getting this one done today Collage for Caitlin
Glad you got your new kitchen Gail. My husband is a cabinetmaker and he was supposed to remodel my kitchen after Christmas, but some other lucky ladies wanted their kitchens done first. So as the saying goes, the shoemakers kids have no shoes.....the cabinetmaker's wife has to wait for her new kitchen! He promised me he would do it for sure after this Christmas, and I'm holding him to it this time!! And hopefully your son just doesn't quite know what he wants to do in life yet. We all want you to stay sane, so stamp away......................

Thanks Mary! It has been a long road, but worth the wait. We had a small kitchen fire in our parsonage kitchen last November....took a while for the church leadership to decide what to do, but we were blessed that they decided to redo rather than just repair! We even took down a wall between the kitchen and dining room so it has made a HUGE difference.
My son has worked his way up from dishwashing to being a line cook at a really nice restaurant and feels like he wants to work a bit then go to culinary school. So, it is not a bad thing, just interesting timing ;)
Ok ladies... I don't see this posting tonight so I am off to work on another project that I need to get done in the next couple days... Good luck ladies..
Gail.....culinary school is a good thing! Maybe he will be a famous chef some day!
I will wait a little while longer, then I'm off to bed as well. Have to get up early tomorrow as the wedding is a 3 hour drive my house! And I can't be late as I am the personal attendant to the bride. YIKES!

I've been popping in occasionally-- watching pre season football and at the Verve release party. I won a $25 gift code, random pick from posting about football! Who'd a thunk...
Still no third challenge?
