CAS66 - Inspired by Kelly (May 10, 2010)
A Little Announcement: Clear your calendar
Due to the holiday weekend going up against the finale of the next DT search, we'll be kicking off the fun on Friday evening, May 21. Get your bags of paper crafting supplies packed. We're heading for a thrill-seeking adventure! To help you get your bags packed, here are some supplies you won't want to forget: * Ribbon - Fun, splashy, thrilling, and one-of-a-kind ribbon! * Any tool(s) that can add texture to your card * Accessories that can add dimension to your card * Items that would assist you in making an interactive, moving card ******************************************** What is CAS? CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple. There are different ways people view CAS. It is very subjective. There is no list of rules that will fit everyone’s personal definition. The following are possible guidelines, only. Please do not feel afraid of playing in the CAS challenge or debate with yourself if you’ve created a CAS card. If it is a CAS card to you, put CAS in the keyword box. 1. Clean: the design is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. Simple: having a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it. OR 2. simple in design regardless of the number of embellishments or how long it takes to color, stitch or to use a special technique OR 3. can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly… usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques OR 4. any combination of the above ************************************************** ******* CAS Challenge: A Sketch Inspired by kmahany Thanks for sharing your talent with us, Kelly! Thanks Jen...and Kelly for a wonderful layout for today's CAS. Loved the original! I don't think I'm a CAS girl-at-heart, so mine might be a little more than CAS! ; )

Hey girls!
sorry to be MIA the past few weeks...:( I tried to make up for lost time by making 2 cards this week though *giggle* http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...words&si=CAS66 & http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...words&si=CAS66 TFL! |
CAS66 Marcasite Chandelier
Here is my MARCASITE CHANDELIER. I added the black strip across the top after I embossed it with Swiss Dots ef because I smudged black ink on it :( so I had to cover it up, of course! Anyway, my chandelier is stamped with VersaMark then sprinkled with Marcasite Opaque embossing powder and heated with heat tool. I added a small bow, adhesive pearls and it's done. A little more than I usually do on a CAS card but hey, what you gonna do?
