Well, he's had a hard time the past couple of days. His pediatrician is consulting with the kidney specialist tomorrow since he's never been seen (yet) and we can't get there until the casts are off. His BP is dangerously high even on meds.
He's also having problems with the casts and the surgeon's nurse is calling us back tomorrow.
Me... I haven't had a full night's sleep in awhile. (One night since the surgery.)

Hi everyone. We don't get smores here but I'm sure I can find something equally delicious and fattening instead! It's a wet, windy and miserable winters day here today but it's good indoor-sitting-eating-crafting weather so I'm not complaining.
I'm looking forward to the party!
OK, I'm a doofus. Even though I saw your location under your name, it didn't click with me that you're not having summer this time of year. So is it weird for you for us to be talking about summer?
Hi Ladies! Sorry to be late. Had a school event that went way late. I am excited to be here, although I do feel like a bit of an impostor I'll try to get caught up on the chatter now! I am looking forward to participating in CAS challenges DT or not!

I actually "mailed" Brian's card on tuesday. Yes, I do mail cards and the fancier, heavier cards I usually hand deliver. Wish I could have done that for you and Brian. Sounds like you could use a HUGE pick me upper. Hopefully tonight will be a nice break with lots of fun. Great idea for the 4th of July. We always stay home on the 4th, so I will be playing for sure
Back to fixing our grilled vegie burgers and homemade hee, hee chocolate shakes
Thinking of you Jen, Brian and family.....everyday.
Jen, sorry to hear about the continued BP problems. That must be so stressful & frightening for you (& him). (((hugs))) to you both

Lisa, thank you, thank you for your ispiration the last 3 months. I love your bright and fun CAS style. You always bring a chuckle or smile every week. Thanks again.....
We live in the North of New Zealand and our average winter temp during the day is around 12 to 15C and at night it goes down to around 7 to 10C and sometimes lower (sorry don't know what that is in F).

Your poor little town made history in the record books for tornadoes a few decades ago. Are there still reminders... memorials or such?

Not really and memorials although they do news shows about the big one in the 70s pretty much every spring. The one in 2000 was bad (destroyed about 1/3 of the town) but wasn't as bad as the other one. We kid here that high wind is a 'spectator' sport...when the wind starts blowing everyone is out on their porches to watch things blow up and down the street. But once the sirens go off, everyone heads for cover. I'm not originally from here so it's an odd thing.

I am in Massachusetts & we had a few tornadoes touch down last night. There was lots of damage in the western part of the state & some lives lost. Very scary stuff. My husband is a state trooper on the search & rescue team & has been working non-stop. I can't believe some of the pics he has sent me. Very sad. I can't imagine living someplace where tornadoes are common!

LOL - are we supposed to mail them? I didn't realize - ha ha

OK... I'm going to round up to the nearest degree here, so you're talking highs 54 to 59° F and lows 45 to 50°.
Compared to my part of Virginia, that's pretty mild.

Oh my...Debbie...I saw the video of the tornado taking up the water from the river and going across the bridge! WOW...amazing and COMPLETELY FRIGHTENING!!! I feel bad for all the places that have gotten hit so hard so far this season. Poor Joplin!

That's very sad.
We have tornadoes here occasionally. I was trained as a volunteer weather spotter a few years ago. I really need to get that updated. With all the new technology though, spotters are like a second source for confirmations.
