CAS Spring 2012 DT Search: The Great Outdoors
Spring Clean & Simple Design Team Search
The Great Outdoors
To enter the competition for this Clean & Simple DT search, make a CAS card following the instructions posted on Monday evening at about 8:00 PM EST. And then post in this thread with a link to your card.
Who can play for a DT spot? Anyone except store owners and past CAS DT members. (But you can play just for the fun of a challenge. )

Thursday, March 1 starting @ 8PM EST
Standard Expectations for a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round.
CAS Spring Design Team Schedule (March - May 2012)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. If you would like only to be considered as a guest designer, please let us know on the thread and/or in the comment section of your card when uploading.

CHALLENGE #1: Theme Challenge (Two requirements)
The first challenge is to make an encouragement card with nature themed images.
Keyword: CAS2012springDT1
(No spaces CAS 2012 spring DT 1 -- not good. If you are concerned about getting it right, copy & paste it into your keyword box.)
By adding just CAS in your keyword box, you will be in 2 galleries. Separate all keywords by a comma followed by a space.
Please also post a link in this thread just in case there is an error with the keyword or if the gallery is being finicky on the judging days.

Please don't combine this challenge with any other current SCS challenge.

Round 2 ~ Semi-Finalists
I'm thrilled by the number of people who submitted cards for the DT search. Please keep coming back each season. It's really hard to narrow down the amazing work to just 3 which is why I do this 4 times a year and we now have guest designers
If I counted right, we had 36 cards submitted. There are 18 semi-finalists!

WOW! The cards for the second round were amazing. When I was planning that challenge, it took me a very long time to find one I really liked. When I saw that playground photo, I just knew that it would strike some great creativity. And you proved me right! Thank you for sharing your time and talent!
That said, this was agony. If the cards you picked didn't get those stampers to the finals, don't fret. There are many more seasons in need of designers. And I want to point this out: While there is more than one CAS style, I like to be conservative when there is a contest involved. So the card can't just be simple, it needs to be clean with plenty of "white" space.
